Autumn
It had been two days since I saw Owen and our relationship was so crazy. It’s new and different. We only spoke on the phone for a few minutes while he was away. He’d been busy, so I used that as an excuse to avoid all conversations because I was scared to confess the way I was feeling. The man had me on edge.
I wanted more, but how do I just throw myself at a stranger and say take me on the unfinished floor? Noelle and I were nosy, so we took a walk over to the unfinished property and it’s freaking huge and impressive. It screams classic elegance. The perfect house to raise a large family and even as we peeked inside, my belly was doing little somersaults thinking of all the little babies I could make with him.
Noelle teased me ten times about it. “Stop thinking about all my nieces and nephews running around here.”
“Shut it, girl.” A moment later a construction crew arrived and asked if we’d like a quick tour. I flushed and excused us, running from the house.
“Oh my God. They’re going to tell Owen that we were there.”
“Oops.” She presses her hand to her mouth, and we rush back to the house, pretending to be innocent when we get inside, but all I can feel is a rush of excitement about Owen and I can’t wait to see him. It’s crazy how he has occupied my every thought when I should be focusing on my future, whatever that is.
We’re still trying to navigate our complicated connections. He bought my family orchard, which in my opinion is a great thing unless we split up. Then again, I wouldn’t have known the buyer before this anyway. And then there are the stupid ties he has to Caroline through Matthew.
When I saw Caroline at the table the other night, I nearly lost my mind, heart breaking into pieces on the spot, but then Owen showed me that he’s a man of action and substance on the spot. My body almost melted into a puddle of goo. So far he’s proven that he’s more than interested even though he was away for two days.
He called, but I did my best to hide that I temporarily worked at the diner. After all, Owen and I were worlds apart. He now possessed my family’s orchard on top of having done so much with life and I was a college dropout.
We’re hardly on the same level which makes this relationship harder because I’m falling for him with every word from his lips. The second I step out of the diner, he says, “Did you miss me?”
“Totally missed you,” I say, throwing my arms around him. I hope I don’t smell too gross being in a diner all day. He growls, and wraps me up, kissing me gruffly.
“I could eat you up.”
“Are you telling me I smell like food? Do I need a shower?” I playfully teased although underneath I couldn’t be more insecure.
“I think you smell good either way, but if you feel better washing off the fries, I’ll understand.”
“Do we have time?”
He slides his hand in my hair and then kisses my temple. When he pulls his lips, I’m a puddle of mush. “Baby girl, we have time for that if you want. I’m at your service my dear,” he says, stepping back and taking a bow.
“How charming. Please take me home so I can freshen up.” I smile at him, tilting my head.
“Great. Hop in.” I stop with my mouth open. He’s holding the door to a car that probably costs nearly a hundred thousand dollars. Seriously, there’s so much that I don’t know about him and that makes us different.
“Stop that. It’s just a car.”
“Just a car? I have a car that came out before I was old enough to drive.”
“You’re only twenty, so that’s not saying much.”
“Okay, so it’s not that old, but it was used when I got it is what I mean. Well, that’s not the point. It’s older than that and it needs work. I’m just pointing out we’re very different and…”
“And you’re going to let that get in the way of our relationship?” he questioned.
“It’s kind of a big deal.”
“Look for two damn days all I thought about was you when I should be working. When I was listening to someone from Denmark talking about figures, all I could picture was the smile on your face as the kids from the Special Olympics passed by in the parade. Your eyes lit up so brightly then I realized you were tearing up.”
“You noticed?”
“It was one of the few times I could look your way. And frankly, I paid particular attention to their float because I wanted them well protected.”
“That’s sweet.” He smiles at me and takes my hand in his. With a light kiss to it, he sets it between us and drives toward my house. Once on the road we make a little small talk, but nothing heavy. He walks me inside and my father is there with Jackie and they’re on the treadmill which was moved to the living area so we could keep a better eye on him during workouts.
Chapter Six
Owen
“Well look who it is. It’s good to see you again, Owen.”
“You’re looking sharp, sir.” It’s a miracle that he survived a heart attack and is recovering so well to be with his family again. He looks rejuvenated.
“Excuse me. I need to hurry up,” Autumn says, excusing herself.
“Okay, beautiful.” I wink and she runs up the stairs. It takes all my strength to keep my head forward and away, to avoid looking up at her sexy ass as it jiggles up the steps.
“So, how was business in Chicago?”
“Boring and time consuming. I couldn’t wait to get back to Meadow Falls.”
“We’re glad to have you back. I’m sure you heard there was an incident at the property.”
“Oh yes. A couple of trespassers were spotted.”
“Yes, you need to be careful because they can steal things,” he chuckles.
Oh she stole something alright and I have no intentions of changing a damn thing about it. My heart is now hers. “Well, as it happens, I have cameras all around the land and I noticed the little burglars and my construction lead met them. Unfortunately, they ran away.”
“She said he offered them a tour.”
“Yes, I wanted to see what she thought of it, but I guess I’ll have to wait until we look at it personally.” There are some things that are most definitely going to need a final touch, but so far, I can move into a smaller guest bedroom which is nice since I have a lot of shit to do from now until Christmas. I’m having the crew come in and finish the master bedroom tomorrow and hopefully by tonight I’ll have all the right ideas on what it should look like from its other future occupant.
“You look radiant, Autumn,” I say as she steps back into the living room. My pants growing tighter by the moment.
“Thank you.”
I can’t take my eyes off her in that perfect tan sweater dress that wraps around her body. A cough comes from beside me, reminding me that we’re not alone. “You two have a good night.”
I cleared my throat with an apologetic smile. “Thank you, Mr. Sager, and thank you for taking my call the other day.”
“No problem. Anytime you need to talk business, please stop by or giveme a call.”
“Will do.” I took her hand and led her to my vehicle.
“Where are wegoing?” she asked.
“We’re dining at the house tonight. The food is being delivered as wespeak.”
“What?”
“I had a favor called in.” Matthew had his assistant drop off a spread from Magdalenas, the Italian place downtown.
When we arrive, I lead her inside and it smells amazing. The atmosphere is dark and lit only by small work lights that the construction crew left for thenight.
“This is amazing.” It’s nothing special, but I want her alone without the prying eyes and listening ears.
“So tell me more about you, Autumn. What do you want out of life?” I want to give her everything I can, so we have a happy life. Hopefully our dreams will align.
“Until a few days ago, I’d been floundering in a haze of doubt, a rut, thinking I could never go back to school,” she admits. “Now, I see that I’m not just a sad statistic.”
“Are you planning on returning to your college?” I wanted to figure out how I was going to convince her to stay with me or how we’d work this out. Commuting would be tough, but I’d do anything to keep her.
She shook her head. “No, but if I wanted, I could finish my business degree online. I’ve been looking into it. Besides, I only majored in it to help with the orchard. And now that my dad sold it, I guess it doesn’t really matter anymore.”
I scoff. “Well, did you think you were still getting out of it?” Smiling at her with devilish intent, I lean in and brush my lips against her saucy ones, tasting tangy flavor.
“I’m not assuming anything.”
I sit back and take a drink of my wine, trying to control myself because the dark atmosphere is fueling my longing. “You should because I’m doing my best to ensure you understand that we are forever.” I’ve lost all my appetite in food. My desire is strictly for Autumn.
She tilts her head and licks her lips in a silent test, a quiet come-hither look, but I ignore it until she says, “Then help me understand. Kiss me.”
“That’s a very dangerous thing to do in this dark place.”
“Why is that?” She knows damn well why, but she needs me to explain it, and I don’t mind.
I lean over our makeshift table and stare into her eyes, giving her a simple warning, “Because I might carry you off to the only bed here and not let you go until there is no misunderstanding.”
“I’m waiting.” My hand darts out and violently fists her long hair, feeling it through my fingers as I drag her to me, lifting her onto my lap. “You’re playing a dangerous game. I’m a man starving, and I only crave you, Autumn.”
“Good because I only crave you.” Her words are the final nail in the coffin of hesitation.
“I just have to touch you, Autumn. I can’t stop myself. From the first moment I got a glimpse of you all I wanted to do was keep you in my arms, and now that I’ve got you, I’m not going to stop until I feel our bodies connect in every single way.” She rubs her body on mine, touching my chest over my suit. It’s not enough.
My hands slide down to her bottom, cupping her ass. “Fuck, you feel so good.” My hand slides around to the front of her dress and then moves under it. She gives me just enough room to slip my fingers past and I rub her little cat.
“Please don’t stop,” she moans against my ear. I nudge them to the side and slip my finger inside, coating it in her wetness. Fuck, I’m so hard, I can’t breathe.
“You’re all I can think about,” I confess.
“Me too.” She kisses my throat as she rides my finger. “This is moving way too fast, but I need you.”
“Trust me when I say you’re the one for me, the only one. I’ll never do anything to hurt you, and I know that deep within my soul you are made for me.” I dragged my lips against hers, tasting the sweetness of the wine and then slid my tongue inside her mouth. The feel of her body clinging to me as I deepen our kiss only adds to the fire burning in me. Nothing has ever felt this good, not the lives I’ve saved, not the companies I’ve built. Everything I am is for her.
Hands move over my chest clawing at my shirt. She unbuttons the first few but loses control and tugs at the rest. I let out a deep chuckle from deep within. I pull my finger from her hole and give my greedy self a taste. My dick jerks in my slacks. “I thought I wanted it bad, baby.”
“Told you I needed you.”
“I’ll give it to you, beautiful.” I lift her up and carry her to the small bedroom that’s available down the hall and lay her on the bed. I quickly undo my buckle, sliding the leather through the metal as my eyes stay focused on hers.
“Show me what you need. Tell me.”
“I need you naked,” I tell her. She lifts up her sweater dress, sliding it over her head, leaving her in just a pair of pale pink panties and matching bra. “Naked, woman.” I lean down and run my hands over her thighs, skimming them as I pepper kisses on her stomach, stopping to breathe her in. Soon I’ll have my tongue so deep in her southern pie, I’ll be treated to the best pie she could make, but for now, I have to teach her a lesson. So I kissed up her chest, avoiding the covered areas. “I said naked.”
“You’re still clothed,” she reminded me. I lost the rest of my clothes, grateful this room has a little heater in it and it’s closed off. A shyness comes over my Autumn when her eyes land on my cock. “Holy hell.”
“What’s wrong?” I asked, knowing damn well what she’s thinking as she clamps those sexy legs closed. This fucker is going to tear her in two. Even with it cool in the room, I’m stiff as steel. She’s afraid of me, but I’m going to be as gentle as possible because I need to fight for my life not to come.
“Nothing is wrong except I didn’t realize you kept your own tree in your pants.”
“Only for you,” I whisper. I lean down on the bed, pressing my lips to hers and kissing her softly. The moans that I elicit from her only amplify my arousal that throbs against her thigh. I’m going to come fast if I’m not cautious. Sliding my hands over her shoulder, I pulled down her strap, revealing her plump breast. “So perfect.”
Sliding down I took her pebbled nipple into my mouth and sucked. We both bucked at the feeling. Her hands latch onto me like claws, one into my hair and the other on my shoulder, clinging on to me in desperation. I lick and suck, alternating between the left and right, wanting to just own her, but I need more. So I move lower, grunting for her to remove the damn bra before I shred it with my damn teeth.
Her panties needed to go because I’m feeling feral. My tongue dips under the top of her lace before I grip the edges and pull down the material. “Dessert,” I whisper. She attempts to close her legs, but I’ve been thinking about her pussy since I got that first taste, and I want it. No, I need it.
“Part them legs, woman,” I growl, pulling them wide myself before throwing them over my shoulders. Smiling, I lower my head and press my tongue into her wetness.
“Owen. Oh my God.” Her body flails on the bed, knees bending and feet digging into my back.
“So good,” I groan around her mound. She thrust her hand into my hair, fingers sprawled out around my skull. She mashes my face into her pussy until I’m gasping for air, but I don’t give a fuck because I’m loving every moment as I fight off coming on the bed.
She screams for me as I push my tongue on her clit. “Oh goodness. What’s happening?”
“You’re coming for me,” I growl, licking up her juices. My face is covered in her but I need more. “Are you ready for me?” She nods and I move into position above her, setting her legs around my waist as I line up my cock at her entrance. It feels so incredible as my head runs across her soft puffy lips.
I take a breath and then push my way in. She’s so insanely tight even though she’s wet and I know that we’re on an even playing field. We’re both virgins and it feels so good. My control is barely hanging on. Still, I don’t want to hurt her. I lean in and kiss her softly. “Thank you, Autumn.” She smiles as the pain slowly passes.
I stretched her out, inch by inch until I was fully seated into her tight hole. My entire body was covered in a light sheen of sweat as I tried to maintain control and not just come like I craved. She deserved better, and I’d give it to her. My tongue loved on her throat, licking her pulse, sending a shiver down her body.
The way she reacts, I repeated my motions, teasing and biting down on her. My hand snakes down her thigh wrapping it around my waist and then I cup her ass, squeezing it as I thrust into her.
“Owen, don’t stop,” Autumn moans. Her soft voice became husky with need, and I needed to hear it again.
“Tell me what you want. Do you want my mouth on these fat, round tits?” I lower my head, tracing my path over her peachy flesh until I slide over her pink nipple. Her back arches as I slip it into my mouth, plucking it between my teeth. She cries out and I lose it, pumping into her unable to stop myself until I fill her with my release.
Fucking dirty thoughts flood my mind as I consider the lack of protection between us. Autumn and I might have started to fill this house with our family tonight. God, I’m so obsessed with her. There isn’t anything more amazing than this woman and I can’t wait for the rest of our life together.
“Owen,” she moans. I lean down and taste her lips. A soft grunt comes from her and I want to kick my own ass for having my weight on her small frame.
“I’m sorry I was such an animal.”
“No, you were perfect. I’m just out of breath,” she answered with a giggle. I snuggled her in my arms, breathing in her scent. Holding her like this forever is my goal.
“Thank you,” I whispered, kissing her temple. The feeling was too damn incredible to explain as my heart thumps violently in my chest, ringing in my ears and my head is fuzzy. Still, I’ll never forget this moment.
