The Hunter

I lick my chapped lips, the bite of frigid winter air freezing the fresh saliva as my heart thuds in my chest. The night is eerily quiet, the newly fallen snow dampening the sounds of Mother Nature, requiring me to call upon every ounce of training ingrained in my body so I have an element of surprise when I catch my prize.
