Chapter 23

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Alyssa zipped down the hill, laughing as water splashed all around her.

The innertube glided smoothly down the slick surface. Then, at the bottom, it hit the inflatable pool, and she flew right over the top and into the water. She howled with more laughter.

At the top of the hill, the Daddies watched with approving gazes.

Little Belinda waddled by, the swim diaper beneath her bikini bottoms hampering her gait.

“I think this was a big hit,” Clyde noted.

“Uh-huh,” Quinn agreed. “Such a big hit, in fact, that we’re going to have a hard time getting these cuties away from it.”

There wasn’t a need to get the Littles away from it, though. So they let them have a few hours’ worth of fun, only stopping every now and then to apply more sunscreen.

The giant Slip ‘N Slide was such a hit, in fact, that the Littles talked their Daddies into unrolling it the following day and setting it up once again.

The next several days passed and Alyssa settled into her new life with ease.

She also learned the rules of their household.

“Alright, honey, tonight I want you in just your little panties,” Quinn told her one evening, after dinner.

“Why, Daddy?” she asked.

“Well, because you’ve still been making some digs about your weight. I want you to grow more comfortable with your body.” He grinned. “Plus, it’s what I want to see. With a body as perfect as yours, why hide it?”

Alyssa thought of protesting, but the reaction she saw from Quinn upon removing her clothes muted any such response. Quinn wasn’t faking this. He was clearly loving the sight of her, clad in only pink panties that read DADDY’S GIRL across the back. They’d been purchased from the back room of Joe’s store. They were her favorite pair, too.

Because that’s what she was. Daddy’s girl.

She was apprehensive at first, but after several more days of baring herself for Daddy each night, she grew more and more comfortable. It went a long way in helping herself feel more at ease in her own skin, too.

But it didn’t completely erase her negative self-image.

One day, while playing at the park, Alyssa was feeling particularly frumpy.

“My Daddy said I can invite you all over for a sleepover tomorrow night,” Grace said.

The women cheered.

“We’re even going to get pizza,” Grace added.

“There’s a pizza place around here?” Alyssa asked.

She hadn’t noticed one. And she was pretty sure she’d seen all there was to see of Big Cedar. Calling it a small town was generous. It wasn’t even listed on some maps.

“The pizza place is one town over,” Grace said. “That’s the closest one.”

Belinda, who didn’t say much, spoke up this time, taking the binky from her mouth and chiming in, “Unless you count that gas station a few miles away. But the pizza there isn’t very good.” She popped the pacifier back between her lips, seemingly satisfied with what she’d added to the conversation.

“Nothing at that gas station is very good,” Janie said. “I made the mistake of getting chicken fingers from there once. I straight up got food poisoning. I barfed for a whole day.”

“Yuck!” Mindy exclaimed.

Alyssa laughed. “I need to barf for a day. Maybe then I’d get some of this weight off. I better go easy on the pizza tomorrow night. I’m already such a huge cow.”

“Alyssa, you shouldn’t say things like that,” Grace said, taking her friend’s hand. “You’re perfect, babe. Just the way you are.”

Alyssa was about to respond, but the words caught in her throat as she realized the gate to the park was open.

Daddy was standing there, looking at her sternly.

Oh crap! How long has he been there?

She’d been so lost in the conversation that she hadn’t even noticed Quinn’s presence.

She was going to find out that Grace was right.

She really shouldn’t say things like that.
