Epilogue

Chelsea

Evan slips his hand into mine and pulls me to his car—black, sporty, expensive. Not in the least bit surprising. After a good night with him, I’m on my way to my first class in my own studio. Evie held the morning classes, and I’m going to take over for the afternoon.

I knew the early morning classes after a grand opening would be too much. I’m thanking myself for thinking ahead.

He pulls the car into the lot, and we take the elevator up. I hit my level, but he doesn’t hit his.

I turn to face him. “You don’t have to drop me off at the door.”

He moves his lips to my ear. “I do.”

My teeth skim my bottom lip. “Okay.”

The doors open, and we arrive in front of my glass doors. He unlinks our hands, and his fingers grab something from his pocket.

My eyebrows knit together, wondering what he’s doing.

“My office keys,” he says, opening his hand to reveal a set of keys.

My eyes flick between the keys and his eyes as a smile breaks out on my lips.

“I guess you’ll need mine.”

He nods.

I grab his keys and wind them on my keychain before opening my purse and looking for my spare.

Spotting it, I hand it over. We exchanged office keys.

We gaze at each other. Does he realize how monumental basic things like this are for me? I craved such silly little things like this, and with Evan, he initiates it.

He steps into my space, reaching for my chin to tip it up. The touch and the deep soul-searching stare make me quiver inside.

“Have a great first day.” He kisses me in a slow, drugging kiss. His hand slips to my throat, and my pulse beats widely against the pressure. When he pulls away, I’m in a daze.

“See you after work.”

My brain snaps awake. “You don’t have to wait for me.”

“I want to.”

“Well, who am I to argue?”

“What time do you finish?” he asks.

“Nine-thirty.”

“Pick you up then. Stay here, don’t go downstairs.” His voice is firm, with a hint of warning.

“Never.” I give him a knowing smile and head inside the studio.

My eyes are fixed on the class stretching. My chest swells at the sight. How good it looks in here with a full class. I snap a few photos for socials later, as if sensing him watching. Spinning around, I see him. His eyes are on me before he slips away.

Some might think he’s too much. But after what I’ve been through, I want to feel smothered. It’s an intoxicating love I desire.

I move out back to put my bag away, check my emails, and make a coffee for Evie and me.

“Hey,” Evie says.

I hold out a coffee cup. “You angel.”

I smile. “How were the classes?”

“Amazing. Everything is so fresh.”

“Any hiccups?” I ask.

“None.”

I sigh. “That’s a relief.”

“Do you need anything before I go?” Evie asks.

I peek around and see everything is clean and tidy.

I shake my head. “No, I’m working on the website until my class starts.”

“Well, I’ll let you go. I’ll see you tomorrow.”

I alter the website with next week's classes.

Twenty minutes pass, and I get the room set up. Clients begin to enter. I didn’t check the names until now. But I giggle as I see Jeremy, Nova, Summer, Oliver, Harvey, and Evan come inside.

“Why do I feel like this was a planned attack?”

“Because it was, baby. Everyone in your first class is someone we know. Gabby. Kirstie, who is Jeremy’s receptionist, Esme, who is Harvey’s, and Cora, who is Oliver’s.”

“I feel cheap,” Summer pouts.

“Why?”

“I don’t have a receptionist.”

“Hey, neither do I,” Nova calls out.

“Yeah, but Kirstie is Jeremy’s, so technically she’s yours too.”

“Hate to break it to you, but she isn’t.”

Nova shakes her head. “Listen, I wouldn't say no.”

“See. I need a rich guy with a receptionist.”

My eyes cast to Harvey and Oliver. Something is up with Harvey, but Oliver is single.

“Don’t you dare,” Summer spits under her breath.

“What?”

Her eyes narrow, but her lips are tipped up. “No chance. He’s not my type.”

“How do you know?” I ask, looking at Oliver, who is talking to Harvey, almost as if he’s calming Harvey down. He probably doesn’t want to be here but was dragged by Evan.

“He’s too nice. I like my men rough.”

My eyebrows shoot up. “Rough? Like dirty?” Nova interjects.

“Yep. Hands dirty, not a keyboard tapper.”

“Ouch,” Jeremy says.

Summer shrugs. “You boys are lovely and all, but I want a hands-on guy.”

“Handsy, you say?” Jeremy looks toward his brothers.

“No. I just told Chelsea no way.” Summer exhales heavily, annoyed.

“Relax. I’m playing.” Jeremy smirks.

“Alright, you all ready?” I shout, watching them all sit on their beds and turn to face me. Harvey's wrinkled face makes me almost burst out laughing.

He doesn’t want to be here. So, you bet I’ll make this class hard for him.

“My name is Chelsea, and I’ll be your instructor for the next forty-five minutes,” I say, walking around the beds. “Lie on your backs. Calves on the bar, and let's take three deep breaths. Let all the day's problems go.”

I pause in front of Harvey’s and Oliver’s carriages, noticing Oliver closing his eyes. “You too, Harvey.”

He sighs and finally closes his eyes.

I move to Evan. He must sense me because he opens his eyes. I mouth, Thank you .

I love you , he mouths back.

“I love you more.”

“Impossible.” He closes his eyes, having the final say.

I start with simple arms-in-strap tricep pull-downs, warming the boys up to Pilates.

By the cool down, sweat is dripping from everyone. Summer and Nova are wearing only crop tops and short shorts, so they’re a bit better off than the guys.

Jeremy mumbles that he will come back with Nova just to watch her work out in those tiny clothes.

I smirk while Harvey winces. Oliver laughs.

Summer and Nova are unfazed.

My heart is so full.

“Thanks for joining me. I gave you all some wipes, if you could wipe the beds down, please. And if you have any feedback or questions, come and see me.”

I stand by the door, ready to say goodbye to them. I decided to treat them like usual clients to practice. During the class, I couldn’t help the way my gaze dropped to Evan’s, his strong muscles bulging and skin perspiring. It’s a massive turn-on. My two loves combining. The first time he did this, it was for a different reason. The support he’s continued to show is real love. I wonder how I can make it up to him. I have one idea. I double-check my classes and see the gap I need. I’ll pay him back in a good way. Because this was a good present, so I want to reward him with one back.

As they leave, they each thank me for the class. Oliver winks. “I surprisingly didn’t hate that.”

I laugh. “Good to know.”

“But I won’t be back,” he adds.

The fact he came means a lot to me.

Harvey’s next, and he grunts at me. “That isn’t a form of exercise.” He shakes his head. “It’s a form of torture, and I’m sure I’ve pulled a muscle in my hamstring.”

“Get over it.” Jeremy shoves his shoulder.

Nova hugs me. “Congrats, girl.”

“Thanks,” I reply as she follows Jeremy out.

“I’ll see you Saturday. Please tell me you told lover boy?” Summer whispers.

I twist and see Evan. I nod to answer her. Summer, Nova, and I have a planned dinner this Saturday night at the old house before Summer moves.

“Do you need anything?” I ask.

“Nope, just you.”

I smile. And that’s everyone out of the studio except Evan.

“I thought it would be easier a second time.” His hands settle on my waist as he steps in front of me.

“When you do it routinely, it is.”

“I would rather have a different form of exercise with you.” His eyes smolder with a fire that melts my insides.

I laugh. “I bet you would.”

“I’d do anything for you.” He brings his nose along my neck and lays a kiss on my lips, nipping at my bottom one.

“Mmm…tempting.”

“Do you have time?” he mumbles between kisses, as his hands dip to my ass and squeeze, bringing the front of me to him. I feel his hardness. I know exactly what he wants.

“No, I have ten minutes until the next class starts,” I say breathlessly. He has this effect on me. One touch and I’m putty in his hands.

He brings his lips to my ear. “I can make you come in five.” He bites my ear, and a shiver runs down my spine.

“I know you could. But there’s no time.”

“You could make time.”

As good as it sounds, it’s my first day, and I’m not about to have clients walk in to find us.

“I wish I could, but I can’t.”

He groans, and it's a sexy deep rasp.

The door sounds, proving me correct. The clients are exiting the elevator, so he steps back with a groan.

“Saved by the bell.” I wink.

“We’ll see about that,” His eyes hold mine as he retracts his steps. I allow my gaze to drop over his visible biceps. The green tank should be illegal. It looks that good.

I lick my lips and see him watching me. Shaking his head, he mouths, You will get your payback .

Then he retreats to the elevator, where he will head upstairs to his office. An office I have the key for. He won’t know what hit him at four-thirty today.

I’m tidying up the studio after finishing the class before my dinner break.

My phone rings, and I rush to my purse, thinking it's Evan.

But I see it’s my lawyer, Hayden.

“Hi.”

“Chelsea. How are you?”

My heart pounds harder. I wish he would just deliver the news already.

“Good, good. What’s the latest?”

He chuckles. “Straight to the point, I get it.”

Hayden was referred to me by Evan. He recommended him because he’s proven to be a good and trustworthy lawyer. I can’t disagree when all he wants to do is to protect me. I want to feel safe too.

“He pleaded not guilty, and he’s been refused bail and is waiting for his trial.”

“When's the trial?”

“December 11th.”

“Okay,” I exhale.

“Miss Macfarlane, he will be found guilty.”

I hope so…

“Thanks, Hayden.”

I hang up and shake off the scared feeling that thinking of Bobby gives me and head upstairs to the man who can wipe Bobby from my mind.

The elevator ride gives me butterflies. No matter how much I see him in a day, it’s never enough.

I open his office door slowly with the key he gave me.

My fingers wrap tightly around the door handle as I see him sitting at his desk while on the phone. He hasn’t noticed me yet. I rest my head against the door, needing a moment to soak him in. My powerful, protective man.

He’s changed his outfit, swapping his athletic wear for a black suit with a white shirt, no tie. His hair is messier than usual, and I know it’s from my class earlier. His tousled waves are more prominent now.

When his eyes flick to mine, they widen. My lips quirk, loving that I’ve caught him by surprise.

I lift off the door and close it. All the while, keeping my eyes trained on him.

His hand lifts to his jaw as he rubs, probably wondering what I’m doing.

I step around his desk, and he follows my movements. I’m impressed he manages to continue talking without a change in his voice.

Coming beside his chair, his hand reaches out to grab my waist. He tries to pull me down onto his lap. I shake my head and push the chair and turn it to face me. Then I drop to my knees and hear a sharp intake of his breath.

Unfastening the button on his black pants, it’s followed by his zip. His eyes darken with lust as his hand reaches out to touch my chin. His strong thumb grazes my lips as if he’s already picturing what I’m about to do to him.

Pulling down his pants and briefs, I reveal his cock. His big erection jutting out of his suit makes my mouth water. Staring at his cock, and then up into his deep blues has me shuffling on my knees, as moisture pools between my thighs. I want to do this for him.

I lick my lips, and his eyes follow the movement.

He continues to talk in a calm voice and look at me with a steady gaze. How he’s able to do that is incredible. But I want to break him. With an evil glint in my eye, my mouth comes down, and I take his tip between my lips. I swirl my tongue around him, enjoying the way his smooth skin and the salt of his pre-cum make me moan. I keep it quieter, but I need him to know I’m loving this. I want him to come in my mouth, then I’ll leave and return to my classes.

He says bye to whoever it was on the phone and drops it onto the desk. His hands move to push my bangs out of my eyes.

“So pretty,” he mumbles darkly. I take some of his thick cock in my mouth and release it, repeating that motion as I moan.

“That's it,” he grunts. His words encourage me. I take him farther and suck harder.

A knock on the door sounds. “Fuck,” he curses under his breath. “I forgot about Harvey dropping in.”

I shuffle so my body is hidden under his big wooden desk. “Stay right there,” he whispers. “We’re not done.”

Oh, he thinks he’s the boss now, does he?

The office door opens, and I hear the heavy stomp of feet. I shift so I can see Harvey’s shoes on the other side of his desk. I roll my lips to prevent a giggle.

Harvey sits in the chair. So much for this being a quick visit.

I cross my legs and lean my back on one side of the desk. I may as well get comfortable so I don’t get a foot cramp.

“You can’t go ahead with the article about Recaredo Events.”

There's a panic in Harvey’s tone that I’ve never heard.

“Why?” Evan asks, and I can see him slump in the chair folded forward, elbows on the desk to hide his erection.

“I need her name kept out of the paper.”

“What am I supposed to do with that slot? It’s due to go out tomorrow.”

“I have another article drafted.”

“The princess leaves to run away with the bodyguard? How did you get this information?”

“Not just information. I got a picture too.”

Harvey slides what must be an image to Evan.

“How?”

“Does it matter?” Harvey asks.

“Is it legal?” Evan asks in a tone full of suspicion.

He huffs. “Of course.”

It’s quiet for a moment, and I lay my head on the wood.

“Thanks.”

“Anytime. I gotta go to a meeting across town.”

“What about Jemima?”

“I’ll keep you updated.” Harvey’s heavy steps leave. And the door opens and closes.

I peel my back off the wood and crawl out. Once I stand, I stretch my back.

“Sorry, I didn’t expect him to be here that long.”

“That’s okay. I surprised you.”

His lips lift into a smirk. “You did. Now we can return to it.”

I shake my head and wince. “Sorry, there’s no time now. I have a class that starts in five.”

I saunter off, but he comes around and slams me against his door, his hot breath on my ear. One hand on my hip, the other on my neck, he says, “You think this is funny? Google edging, baby, because that’s what you’re getting tonight.”
