Epilogue

Two Years Later…

T hings were coming to a head and we were preparing for the worst. Yet we had a veritable army now surrounding us. Too bad certain enemies of ours were powerful enough that it might not matter. I’d offered to leave to draw that faction away from the club, but not a single brother would allow it.

“Baby, are you ready yet?” I called out.

“Almost!” Eliska replied from the bedroom of the home we’d built

I glanced at my watch. We were probably going to be late.

Finally, Eliska came running out holding her rounded belly. Concern hit me and my irritation was quickly forgotten. “Are you okay?”

She laughed. “Would you stop worrying? I’m pregnant, not dying.”

I sobered at the thought. Because that day two years ago was not one I wanted to think about. The fucking piece of shit that had tormented her was still free and loved by America. Hayden had gotten him to leave us alone—for now. I didn’t bother asking how. Pretty sure I didn’t want to know.

“How is my baby girl?” I asked as I got to my knees and framed her small baby bump before I kissed it.

She smiled softly as she ran her fingers lovingly through my hair. “Your baby boy is doing amazing. Raptor’s cousin, Reyn said he’s right on track for growth and everything looks perfect so far.”

I looked up at her in shock. “You found out the sex? We agreed we were waiting!”

Her laughter filled the room and I reveled in the sound. “No, I didn’t. I promise. I just believe it’s a boy.” She shrugged playfully.

“Fine. You swear?”

“I swear,” she assured me.

She took my hand and we left he house and got in her SUV I’d bought her. Then we headed to the large covered screen room we had built for club and family gatherings.

Raptor’s son Sam was getting married. It was to be a fairly intimate gathering—if you counted all of the club’s members, their families, the Krow clan, and a handful of demons an intimate gathering.

As we crossed from the original land that had been converted strictly to residential use, I looked up at the archway. A lot of blood, sweat, and tears had gone into the establishment of our new club.

We still had several enemies that we were battling with, but we were holding our own.

The Crooked Crown MC was alive and well.

The End… for now.
