“So, what can I help you with today?” the doctor asked me as I sat down in her office.
“I think… I think I have post-natal depression. Or anxiety.” I rubbed at my forehead, feeling the muscles bunch there. “Maybe both. I know I need to find out and… to get help.” I met her eyes finally, seeing concern there, not judgement. “Please?”
“OK, that’s incredibly common after childbirth and you’ve got twins so let’s see what we can do, shall we?”
I nodded and then smiled.
“That would be great.”
