Epilogue

T oni ~ 5 months later

“I can’t believe I found the perfect window where none of you are pregnant, or at least showing.” I smiled the three women gathered to help me get married to the man of my dreams today. “That has to be a good sign, right?”

Lucy tossed her head back and laughed. “You’re ridiculous, you know that?” Her hand went to her belly, telling me that I was in fact, right.

“How far along?”

“Three months,” she admitted as a blush crept up her cheeks.

“Four and a half months,” Sasha added with a laugh.

My eyes widened in shock and Molly laughed. “If it makes you feel better, I’m not pregnant at all. I’m single and horny and unemployed so there’s that.”

I bit back a smile. “I’m sure none of those will last much longer,” I told her with confidence. “And the unfairness of it all is that you look smoking hot on my wedding day.”

Her cheeks turned an adorable shade of pink. “Right. We need to get you in this chair where you will stay for the next hour. Got it?”

I smiled at this bossy side of my friend. “Yes ma’am. I like you all feisty like this.” I sat for the next seventy minutes while the hair and makeup team made me look fabulous for my wedding day. My red hair was pulled up into an intricate updo with plenty of sexy tendrils to drive Brady wild. “Okay, we’re done right?” The team nodded and I stepped from the chair with a grunt. Being seven months pregnant wasn’t the ideal time to get married but Brady refused to wait. He was determined to get married before the baby arrived so here we were, having a simple yet elegant backyard wedding.

The girls helped me into my dress which was white and lace and it made my boobs look amazing. “You look gorgeous,” Molly said near tears.

“I do look pretty damn great, don’t I?”

“I’d marry you,” Sasha said with a laugh.

“I’d kiss you with tongue inside a church,” Lucy added and we all laughed until the team chided us as the touched up our makeup.

The door flew open and Layla stood there with a wide-eyed smile. “Toni you look like a tough princess!”

“Well that makes me feel even hotter. Let’s get me married!” I grabbed Layla’s hand and tugged her into the middle of our hug huddle. “In an hour, I’m going to be Mrs. Toni Winsome. Can you believe it?”

“That’s how weddings work,” Molly added with a frown that drew another round of laughter from all of us.

We all lined up and made our way to the doors that led to the backyard. My heart raced and the baby kicked in my belly, but I wasn’t afraid. Nope, I was ready to merge my life with Brady’s.

The vows flew by and then my lips were fused to Brady’s while our small group of loved ones cheered and whistled their congratulations. “That was one hell of a kiss, husband.”

Brady flashed a wide smile. “It was just the first kiss of the rest of our lives.” He kissed me again, this time tipping my pregnant body over his arm and deepening the kiss until I felt the answering tug in my belly and lower. “Love you, wife.”

“I love you too, my sexy, nerdy husband.”

His nostrils flared and he pulled me upright with a proud smile, lifting our hands in the air while the cheers grew louder. “We have exactly twenty minutes before we’re obligated to do wedding photos. It was a gift from your mother,” he whispered in my ear.

“Twenty minutes?” I looked around and saw Layla had taken up residence on my dad’s lap because apparently all they needed to get off my back was a loving grandchild to spoil.

“Yeah. Do you need to do…anything?”

“Yeah,” I nodded slowly. “Just one thing. My husband.”

Brady grabbed my hand and dragged me up the makeshift aisle and into the house. We made it to the bridal suite on the first floor before we made love for the first time—of many—as man and wife.

“Have I told you how gorgeous you look today?” Brady kissed my shoulder as he fastened the buttons on my dress.

“Only a half dozen times. You’re slipping, Mr. Winsome.”

His laugh sounded rich and deep in my ear, the sound vibrated against my back. “You take my breath away, Mrs. Winsome.”

I turned in his arms and kissed him one last time just as the knock sounded on the door. “And you make me wish this baby was already here so I could show you how hot you look in a tux.”

He laughed. “I have one more secret for you, Toni.”

“Yeah? I’m listening.” Over the past few months, Brady had dropped all kinds of information about himself all over the place.

“Our wedding song is by one of my favorite artists. Norah Jones.”

“Unexpected, but I dig it.”

“That’s not all.”

“We’re married now, Brady. You don’t have to keep doing this.”

“I know but I love it.” His smile was wide and beautiful and it took my breath away. “I’m going perform the song for you.”

My eyes widened. “You’re going to sing?”

“I am. But I’m also going to play the piano because that’s something else about me you don’t know.”

My heart was so full I could hardly breathe at this admission. “I can’t wait. But I have something to tell you too. My dad is a twin.”

He frowned. “Okay. Thanks for sharing?”

My head fell back and laughter exploded out of me. “Remember that appointment you missed last week?”

He nodded. “It couldn’t be helped.”

“I know and I understand. But we’re having twins. Twin boys.”

He dropped to his knees and wrapped his arms around me, nuzzling my waist. “Seriously?”

I nodded. “Seriously. Feel free to share it during your performance later.”

He pressed a soft kiss to my belly before standing. “You are the best gift the world has given me, Toni. I’m so happy you’re my wife, my life, my everything.”

Tears pooled in my eyes but I refused to get another damn touchup before photos. “I love you, too. And if we make it through these photos without going crazy, I see a quickie in your future.”

His nostrils flared and he took my hand, dragging me to the photographer where we finished wedding photos in record time.

The journey was off to a good start and I was confident it would only get better.
