CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
T his was the best night of my life. Who knew I had a monster kink because all I needed was some tentacles somewhere, and I’d be living in one of my favorite books. Would Trigger help Dex transform into some kind of being with tentacles? He was probably the only one willing to try… Nope, Trigger would too. What if they both did?
I groaned. Arousal spiked in me. Sometimes, I loved being a Succubus. My demon was never satisfied, but who didn’t love orgasms?
My eyes drifted back to Kain. His cock was still hard and dripping for me. Perfect. I moved to get up, but a knock on my brain stopped me. I froze completely. Maybe if I didn’t move, the sensation would stop. The arousal drifted away like a bad smell in the wind. The fuckers.
“Fuck my life,” I said out loud before answering while opening the bond to whoever was calling. What’s up?
The unpleasant sticky presence of a male who wasn’t one of my mates in my head had me grinding my teeth. Probably since I just fully mated more of my men. They must have sensed my irritation because they turned off the connection. In the next heart beat a different person flashed in my mind, asking to speak with me.
I answered it with even more snark. What?
The female presence calmed my hackles even before she spoke. The Haven is under attack. Vivian told me to contact you. She’s at home and says to get your ass to the shopping center. They don’t know where the Haven is, so they are threatening to burn the entire shopping center down. From what I can understand of their yells, they’re Nar’s followers, Mora, one of my new faction members, said. Her voice didn’t really sound worried, but who knew with that girl?
She was literally kidnapped and beaten, but said she was fine because she didn’t break a nail. I loved her sass and worried about it at the same time. She was a strong witch and Greed Demon, but she was barely in the top twenty. I hadn’t been able to train her or see what she could do. I hoped she could handle herself.
Okay. Be there in a minute.
All the men jumped up, listening in on the call. I watched dumb founded as Kain broke the chair like it was nothing, grabbed a shirt off the floor, and knelt to clean my pussy and ass from all the come dripping out of me. Well, damn. I gulped. My mouth filled with the salivating mess I had just turned into, thankfully, my pride hid from him.
I’d almost orgasmed again just watching his possessive movements. He slapped my clit with the fabric, and my pussy pulsed for him.
Shit, yes.
His black demon eyes met mine. The shirt was thrown to the floor again as he let out a growl that I felt in my bones.
He gripped the back of my neck to bring my face closer to his. “Don’t think for a second that this is over. I will have this sweet fucking pussy but waiting will just make our moment even better. For now, I’ll be content with watching my brothers fuck your tight holes and bring you pleasure.” His hot mouth devoured me until I was a puddle on the floor. His control was legendary.
I was still stuck on stupid as he dressed me in my leathers. Did he actually break me? Could a Succubus get shorted out by hotness? Maybe.
“No, you can’t. You’re just as hungry for my cock as I am starving for you.” Kain leaned in and kissed my cheek. His wink took my breath away.
As he walked away to finish getting ready a few shadows stirred. Smokey poked his head out of the shadow under the couch, discreetly scanning the room to make sure the sex fest was over. Seeing all of them getting ready had him zooming to my side in a flash. I still felt a little broken, so I just stood there.
Dex ran his fingers over my arm, kissing my temple to get my attention. “Do you need me to brush your hair, mate? I don’t think Shadow Daddy broke you, but he is definitely going to.” His mischievous red eyes winked, pulling me back to myself. These men were going to kill me.
I licked my lips to say something, but Trigger beat me to it. “I have the transportation potions, but I don’t think they’ll get to the Haven even if they burn everything down. A crazy amount of magic is protecting that place. The slaves are safe,” Trigger said as he put on his shoes. We all wore black. Our hunting clothes needed to be able to blend into the darkness.
“Still, we can’t let them destroy the shopping center. Every demon at the academy uses it for something,” Bones responded. His blonde hair stood out against his black outfit, but, if we needed to hide, his hoodie would help cover his locks. I could shift my hair black if I needed to, but the pink would let people know who I was, which could either help me or make me a target.
I pulled on my boots and strapped some of Trigger’s potions onto my belt. Stink bomb, light explosion, freezing, and eviscerate. On second thought, I put the eviscerate bottle back. With my luck, it’d break on me.
“Let’s go,” Alaric barked, his focus clearly on the task at hand, though the glint in his eyes hinted at his eagerness to feed. I approached him, took his hand, and brought it to my lips for a kiss.
He had to feed on me to survive, but he could still drink from others to be satiated. If we weren’t going into a fight, I’d offer myself, but my exhaustion couldn’t handle another hit. Where was an energy drink when you needed one?
Maybe she’ll fuck his troll cock next. God, I hope I’m involved for that one too, Dex whispered through the bond. I couldn’t help the un-lady-like snort that escaped me.
When Dex looked up, all eyes were on him. Alaric’s eyes were now red instead of hazel, so he liked the idea. I was game, honestly.
“Shit, I said that through the bond again. How do I hit mute or pause? My thoughts are constantly about sex, and you all are going to think I’m crazy or something,” Dex complained.
I grabbed his hand to bring him over to me, kissing his lips. “It’s cute. Don’t worry, but I’m sure we can teach you. With the bond constantly open like this, it’s different. The brothers have Lucifer as a father, so it’s no surprise they know how to do it. And Alaric’s dad did mess with his head, so he probably learned how to hide his thoughts as well. You, my sex fiend, are an open book, so don’t worry.”
I hoped I explained that correctly. I didn’t want him to be self-conscious or compare himself to the others. I barely knew how to hide my thoughts. If I wasn’t the center slash leader, I wouldn’t be able to.
He kissed me with a whisper of his love and stood beside me. I hadn’t let go of Alaric’s hand, and didn’t want to, so he put his arm around my waist to free up my hand for the potion travel. We all moved as one, touching each other. Being with them felt smooth and right like we were always meant to be.
“Count of three,” Trigger declared, counting swiftly, “One, two, three.” He tossed down his potion with a triumphant shout. “Ha! I win.” Then, he vanished.
“How’d he win a game we didn’t know we were playing?” Dex asked Kain.
Kain just shrugged and mumbled something like, “Everything’s a game to him.” He disappeared, followed by Bones. Alaric and Dex went just as I did.
No one could go into the invisible shopping center without walking through the two boulders that kept the lowers who weren’t with their Master out, so we appeared in front of them. The heat clung to me, as did the brimstone smell. Several people stood around, aware of the drama inside, but the magic restricted their access.
The place was in the right corner of the grounds next to the Fae forest behind the academy building, so a little of the honeydew scent helped with the smell. It was dark out, we could have blended in if we wanted to, but not this time.
We slipped in the doorway. The magic brushed over me like spiderwebs on my skin. I rubbed my arms but dropped them as soon as the mob was spotted, they stood in the middle of the shopping center. It looked like a scene from an old western where someone was about to have a gun fight. Since guns didn’t work in Hell, it was very unlikely, but I still smiled at the thought.
My eyes scanned over our surroundings. Two long wooden buildings with several small shops faced each other, quite a few were vacant. Their inside lights were off. Usually, the windows around the buildings were mirrored, but I could see through them now. The roofs were teal and a dark, smooth oak, so it was easy to spot anyone up there, but they were empty as well.
My demon sensed the mob in front of me and sighed in relief. These people are all below the top twenty and won’t take much to control. I’d flash them my power and be done with it.
Alaric growled because he wanted to feed. When my eyes met his, he dipped his head. Don’t worry. I have blood in the fridge. I’ll be fine.
That was good, but I still needed to feed him. Where was my assistant Ark when I needed him. I’d put him to work and make a schedule for me. He could pencil in feedings. The snort that escaped me caught the attention of one of the mob men.
He kicked at the dirt road before he shouted. “There’s the bitch that killed Nar. She ruined everything. He said we were going to be mates.”
I couldn’t hold back my eyeroll. He would never have mated the guy. The sadistic fuck just liked to toy with people.
When the aggression rose at his words, I sent out my energy. This didn’t just work on Kain. I was the strongest person at the academy. I held the number one spot, and their demons would back down. Even if the other side of them didn’t.
The electric crackle of my dominance filled the air, and several people flinched, showing their submission. Eyes dropped to the floor, necks were exposed, and some even sank to their knees—typically a sign of submission from weaker demons. A few growled and trembled, struggling to suppress their response, but I needed them to fully submit to avoid physical confrontation.
Honestly, I wasn’t worried. After fighting an entire horde of monstrous demons, this kind of thing didn’t bother me anymore. No one else needed to get hurt, though. They were all just following what they thought was the right way… what Lucifer said was the “ demon way.” If I wanted change, I had to give people a chance. Even if they were annoying about it.
Finally, everyone had given into my dominance accepting me as the alpha.
Now, all of you. Show them the force we have with our small group. I demanded of my mates.
It was hard to breathe as each of us crackled and popped into the air. I swear if someone lit a match, we’d explode. Four out of the top five in the academy were here and Stanine was the fifth. These people had no chance. They needed to understand that.
As the force hit them, they collapsed, the shifters going belly up in submission. My hair lifted off my shoulders, and the sparks bit at my skin, but I didn’t care. I walked forward, voice clear as I spoke. “I could have put you on our knees the moment I saw you. Taken away your freedom, your mind, but I didn’t. This is a warning. You don’t have to like me, you don’t have to be around me, but you will respect me. We respect power, and I have all the power. I only give one warning, so I hope you learned from this moment. Go .”
They needed no further prompting. Everyone hurried to leave, eager to escape. If respect for power is the demon way, so is rebellion. Our demons demanded that we strike when we sense weakness, so I needed to prove that we were far from weak. That I was not weak.
As the crowd dispersed, I sighed, both from the drama and the nostalgia. I missed this place. My banishment had prevented me from visiting because Vivian lived here at the end of the shops, there was a portal at the BDSM shop that led to her home. She also ran the Haven, a sanctuary that protected the slaves from the Masters who treated them worse than poorly.
The cherry-wood doors, carved signs, and even the way it smelled like money were things I missed. Honestly, it was probably just Vivian who I missed, but this place was sentimental to me. Besides, who didn’t like a poison shop, a liquor store, and a demon food store with legs and eyeballs advertised in the window to explore? This place had everything.
“Alright, let’s go before I see someone I’m not supposed to.” I sighed and walked away forcing myself not to turn around to look at the shop where I knew she was.
I didn’t even wave or acknowledge in any way that I knew she was there, just in case. I had a few more months and I’d get her back into my life. I wouldn’t intentionally break one of the rules. I planned to kill all the Dark Souls Council, but Hell might still hold the sentencing against me. Who knew with this place? It did what it damn well pleased.
Kain waited for me to walk by him to move. He grabbed my hand and intertwined our fingers. “Have I told you how much of an amazing Queen you are, mate? You make me proud to call you mine every second of the day.”
My gaze searched his baby blue eyes and the seriousness in them. “Really?”
“I never say anything I don’t mean.” He leaned in to give me a soft kiss. My heart skipped a beat. Kain was sexy as heck, all grumpy and demanding, but this hint of a sweet side was by far the sexiest thing he had ever done.
Smokey’s massive rottweiler-slash-bear-like animal form pressed in on my other side. As I ran my hand over his head and scratched his ears, my eyes stayed on my mate.
“He was a hard one to hide from.” I scratched him under the chin as well. “I’m sorry I had to send you away, boy. I missed you so much.” His tail wagged. I hoped he’d go to his puppy form and hide in my hair during classes again. His presence always calmed me.
“Ivy!” I stiffened at hearing my name, but the familiar voice made me smile.
I turned to see my brother, Zar, running toward me. He had filled out and grew muscle in his short time with Vivian. That was what happened when an Incubus found their Queen.
“Zar!” I said and ran to meet him. I could hear my mates followed, but nothing else registered while my brother was this close to me. They’d watch my back, so I could have this time with him.
I threw myself into his arms. His warm cookie scent enveloped me instantly. The sense of comfort in its purest form washed over me. A cheeky joy filled me where I wasn’t sure if I wanted to hug him tighter or to punch him in the arm—just because.
“I’m so glad I caught you here. I was going to call you and there you were outside of the window.” It felt great to have my twin back in my arms and to see him thriving in Hell. Never in a million years did I see us here in the future I imagined.
“I’ve been meaning to come by, I’ve just been?—”
“Trying to take over Hell? I know. I’m surprised you have time to shower.” He glanced at Kain. “You better be thankful she cares enough to bathe. I’ve had to endure it when she skipped a couple days.” He made this phew noise and fanned the air by his nose. “It’s not pretty.”
I pushed him away with a smile.
“Jerk.” The chuckle that came out of my mates made my embarrassment worth it, though. Zar always had an act for making people smile. Whereas I usually scared them.
“Anyways, I can’t stay too long. Vivian is making us dinner.” He pulled a large vial looking thing with a glow to it out of his hoodie pocket. It hung on a black rope and had swirling symbols engraved on the glass. His black sweats said the AC was on high in his house. Zar always hated the cold. Marnie and Zar used to fight over the thermometer all the time.
His voice pulled that memory from my mind. “So, I have a gift for you. Well, technically it’s from Vivian’s parents, but I’m taking credit because Ark contacted me. Not them. Molly knows how to solve some of your problems.” He handed me the glowing thing gently.
“What is it?” I asked. My mates moved closer to look at it and to hear his answer.
“It’s the damned soul you needed. I don’t know what for, but you got it. It’s kind of freaky when you think about it.” He shook his head and glanced away. It was kind of creepy actually. A person was trapped in this glass prison. If it wasn’t a once evil person that was sent to Hell as punishment, I might feel bad.
“Really? How the heck did they do that?” I smiled down at the glowing rod. That was one thing off my to-do list.
Zar shrugged. “It’s some kind of holding device or something. I didn’t ask.”
“Well, I’m grateful. I’ll have to send them a thank you gift.” I handed the soul to Kain because I didn’t have pockets big enough for it. He was also the closest. The others had fanned out to act as my body guards. Kain gave it to a tall beast-like shadow for safe keeping.
Zar shivered and eyed the shadow wearily. He had met my mates once, but we’d have to actually spend time together when this was over. Between Zar’s fear of the shadows and the awkwardness seeping into the bond, they needed the time.
Zar snapped at me to get my attention. “Oh, Molly said before you give it to him, ask him questions. It’ll turn red if there is a lie in the vicinity.” My mouth just hung open.
“Are you shitting me?” I could barely talk. That would help so much.
He put his hands up. “Don’t get too excited. It only works for a few questions and not at all if a soul isn’t inside.”
Okay, not as cool, but it really did help me with the Lust issue. If we could trust him, he’d help us get answers. I’d have to thank Molly and Ark for sure.
Zar glanced down at his watch. “Shit, I got to get going. If the food gets cold after she spent hours cooking it, I’m going to hate myself.” He stepped toward me, and I met him halfway with my arms wide. “It was great seeing you. Vivian misses you like crazy.”
“I miss her more. Take good care of her.” Then, I let him go.
“Always. My Queen shall want for nothing.” He said the last part in a funny accent that was actually a mix of several all in one. I snorted.
He moved away and to their surprise went to each of my mates to give them a hug. “Thank you for keeping my sister safe. I look forward to getting to know you guys. Vivian has told me tons of stories already.”
Dex laughed. “The little minx probably only told the embarrassing ones.”
“Pretty much.” He shifted back the way he came. The urge to run. Back to his Queen was written all over him. I didn’t want him to go, but to see him so smiley warmed my heart. “I love you, Ivy. Stay safe.”
“You too.” Then he booked it back to the BDSM shop that Molly owned, and where they lived. I just stood there smiling for a while. It felt great to know he was finally safe and happy.
Trigger came up behind me, when I didn’t move my gaze from the building, even after Zar had been in the house for a few minutes.
He wrapped his arms around me and slowly shifted both of us to leave. I didn’t fight him or resist. I just didn’t want to leave when two important people in my heart were so close.
Images of Vivian came to me. Her smiling face as she presented the meal to Zar. The way she’d tuck her short purple hair behind her ear as nerves shined in her almond-shaped, purple eyes. She was petite like Lilah, but without the fire. Vivian wanted to please. I spent most of our time reminding her not to do things just to satisfy me.
I walked faster as the images turned to them sharing blushing smiles. Truly having a great date. When all the drama was over, I’d get that with my mates too.
We walked back through the two boulders and out into the dark night. The shopping center lights were on constantly for the guards that protected the shops, even though those assholes were nowhere to be found tonight. They probably ran for the hills.
Minus being in Hell, it was nice to be out not hunting or doing anything at all except taking a stroll. It felt almost normal. With Kain and my dog at my side, Bones explaining how to play Power Ball to Dex and Alaric, which was pretty much football but with powers, it just felt right.
Their laughter filled the air when Trigger ran over to a bunch of half-fae guys to dance around them singing, ‘Don’t you wish your mate was hot like mine.’
It was all just blissfully normal. Well, for magical beings like us. I’d take it. I really hoped we had more moments like these, they made all the fighting worth it.
By the time we made it back to the apartment, I was exhausted. Not because it was a far walk, no. The day was just catching up with me. Tomorrow had to be better, right?
Kain closed and locked the door behind us. Smokey licked my hand and glided into the shadow of the couch. It was earie to watch a massive animal disappear like that.
“Who's up for more kinky sex?” Trigger shouted in the kitchen, grabbing a handful of water bottles from the fridge. The air-conditioning made me even more ready to sleep.
A foreign energy snaked up my spine, telling me someone was coming. “Kinky sex, huh? Son do tell.”
I groaned. Alaric’s father had arrived. I really was going to bed. I couldn’t deal with him right now. His constantly challenging Alaric got old fast.
“Dad, what did I tell you about popping in.” Alaric sounded as tired as I felt.
“Come on. There’s kinky sex to talk about.” He ran his hand over his long dreads.
Kain growled beside me. His hand wrapped around my hip possessively. The man’s dark eyes almost lit up at the sound of Kain’s growl and the gesture that screamed mine .
His dreads swayed as he gave Alaric a beaming smile. “You really did amazing picking a mate, son. You have yourself a powerhouse family. They’ll be perfect at your side when you take over the pack.”
We all groaned. “Here we go again,” I grumbled. We had all told him to fuck off, but the guy was relentless.
“How many times do I have to tell you, we are not taking over the pack. Give it to one of my brothers.” Alaric flung himself on the couch. His arm went over his face to block out the light.
This was my time to slip away. I’m going to bed. Do you need me? I asked Alaric.
No. It’s better if you go. He’ll just use you to piss me off. I don’t know if he’s serious, but he’s not getting you. The fucker gets whoever he wants all because “he’s one of the strongest alphas on Earth.” He said the last part in a tone that spoke of the disgust he feels about it. Considering Alaric had women following him around, pretending to like him, so they could get close to his father, when we first met, I understood. If I grew up with my mom around, it might have happened to me as well. She was one of the last full-blooded Sex Demons. She might still be. I had to speak to Lust to get some answers.
I’ll stay with him, Dex said.
Me too. If I’m lucky, I’ll get to punch him. Bones snickered.
I felt better that he would have back up. Alaric’s father wasn’t terrible, but he could be a bully. He pushed Alaric so hard and ridiculed him his whole life to make him an alpha. It hadn’t worked. His alpha nature didn’t come on until his vampire side rose when my life was in danger. His father was obsessed with getting Alaric to be what he wanted him to be, but since he was an alpha, he didn’t have to listen to his father anymore. Ironic.
As soon as we stepped into the bedroom, Kain and Trigger slowly undressed me, their tender touches and soft kisses eased my tension. By the time Trigger removed his shirt and draped it over me, I was barely able to stand. Kain, rolling his eyes at Trigger’s I’m-the-shit-because-she’s-wearing-my-t-shirt attitude, scooped me up and laid me gently in bed, spooning me from behind. Trigger grunted but settled against my front.
Trigger swatted Kain’s hand away from my hip because he wanted his hand there. Kain didn’t like that, so he did the same to Trigger’s hand. It was all so cute that I let them have their brotherly slap party for a little while, but after the tenth slap, I got annoyed. Their harsh whispers to each other made it worse.
“If you two don’t stop, I’m pulling this car over, spanking both of you, and one of my other mates will cuddle with me.” My groggy mind made the words barely intelligible.
“I volunteer for the spanking. Kain can spank you. You can spank me. And I can…” he had to think for a moment, “maneuver and spank your pussy. It’ll be like a train of pleasure and pain.” Trigger was something else. Funny part was, I would try it.
“Trigger,” Kain whispered.
Trigger leaned in, clearly eager to share a secret. “What?” His excited tone confirmed my suspicion.
“Shut the fuck up.”
Trigger pulled back with a disappointed grunt. Kain ignored him and put his face against my neck, inhaling.
I drifted off to sleep, but the last thing I heard was Trigger responding. “Fine, but my hand goes on her ass.”
I loved these men.
As I opened my arms to the darkness, completely relaxing with them near, I felt safe. It was the best night’s sleep I had in weeks. Possibly ever.
