“I’m almost certain this is a no parking zone.” I have to shift back to my two-legged form to talk to her. A fact which means I’m left standing in the road buck naked. I couldn’t care less about such things, but I’ve learned that humans can be touchy.
I have a magical satchel I use to keep a change of clothes in when I shift for a trip like this. I could dress, but I fail to see the need. She’s seen me naked before.
Despite that fact, Loren’s gaze drops to my twin cocks which hang semi-flaccid between my legs. It seems like they’re never fully flaccid if I’m near her. A fact which I’m currently trying to ignore.
Perhaps clothes would have been a good idea.
“Y-yeah, but I’m pretty sure that is illegal.” She gestures at me without actually lifting her gaze to make eye contact.
I smirk. How cute. It’s making her flustered. It’s also making her pussy smell so lusciously sweet I can pick up the scent even through all her clothes, and my mouth waters. Of course my cocks react, and now I’m sporting two full erections in the middle of a public road.
Loren licks her lips and keeps staring for all the world like she’s thinking about which one she wants to suck first.
Fuck .
I palm the unruly things down to little effect. “I assume you didn’t mean to do that.” I tip my head to indicate the car which looks like it’s having a snooze in the ditch at the side of the road.
She scowls. “No, of course I didn’t mean to. If you just flew all the way here to taunt me, you can fly right off again. You know, you could be useful and help.”
I scoff. “And let you be disappointed when you get to Percy Burbage’s house and get the same message I got about him not seeing anyone? That would be cruel. I assume that’s why you’re here.”
I watch her expression harden as she processes my words. “How do you know he wouldn’t see me? Just because he wouldn’t see you?”
I plant my hands on my hips and laugh. “Yes.”
“We’ll see about that.”
I register a car coming toward us as she steps around me and right out into the middle of the road. “What are you doing?”
“Getting a lift.”
My jaw drops. The car isn’t slowing at all and there she is, standing directly in its path. Launching into action, I dart toward her, yank her off her feet and into my arms.
“What the hell?”
I pull her off the road as the car swerves, beeps, and keeps right on driving.
“He wasn’t going to hit me,” Loren snarks as I put her back on her feet.
“You don’ t know that.”
She just shrugs and brushes off her dress, moving back toward the road.
“You’re mad,” I growl, looking around at her car. It’s not that heavy or quite that strong. In my four-legged form...
I shift again and trot around to the front of the car. I give it an experimental push with my front feet. It rolls part way out of the ditch and then back down again. Hmm. With more force this time, I heave the car back up onto the shoulder of the road. I have to dash around to stop it from rolling right into the lane when I realize I’ve pushed it too hard.
It’s only then I turn to spot Loren climbing into a white sedan stopped on the side of the road. “What are you doing?” Of course, it comes out as a roar.
She gives me a wave before closing the door. I’m not quick enough to stop her. Goddamn it. I would fly after them and flip the car over, but human authorities don’t take kindly to that sort of behavior.
Has she considered this person could be anyone? Any sick low life just looking for an opportunity to get a vulnerable female alone, helpless...
I shift again, throwing myself into the car and turning the ignition on. This fucking female is going to be the death of me, and I haven’t even claimed her.
I’m not going to claim her, I remind myself as I bring the car up to speed, searching the road ahead for the white car. It doesn’t take me long to catch up to them. I bring Loren’s rental car up right behind the car she’s in, glaring at the driver, hoping he’s looking in the rearview mirror. I can’t make out his features, but his short non-descript brown hair and gray jacket are doing nothing to assuage my fears.
He glances up and I catch his anxious look before he puts his foot on the accelerator.
Oh no you don’t.
I’m right on his tail, closing in as we take a left turn. I ride his ass all the way to a corner about two blocks away from the address Loren is aiming for. The white car pulls over and I can just about see him push Loren out. She’s barely shut the door when he pulls away from the curb and speeds off.
She mutters something I can’t catch.
Rolling down the window, I drive slowly to roll along next to her as she walks. “Get in.” I leave no question in my tone about whether or not I should be obeyed.
She still ignores me. Of course she does.
“Get. In.” The car is small. I push the passenger door open and reach over, yanking her into the vehicle.
“Alright! I’m in. You happy?”
“No.” I scowl. “What the fuck do you think you were doing getting into a car with some stranger?”
“Sorry, Dad.”
“That’s Sir or Daddy to you, brat.” The words are out of my mouth before I can call them back.
It’s not lost on me the way she sucks in her breath and her cheeks flush with extra color, even if she refuses to look at me.
“Whatever.”
“I’ve half a mind to pull over right now and put you over my knee,” I tell her. “Just try me. ”
Surprisingly she doesn’t. I can’t decide if I’m pleased or secretly sorry I don’t get the opportunity.
“So what now? You’ve stolen my rental car and kidnapped me. What are you planning to do with me?” Her tone is surly. Instead of looking at me, she has her gaze fixed out the window.
I sigh. “I’ll take you to Percy Burbage’s if you’re so insistent on going there. You might as well see for yourself if you won’t believe me. And then I’m driving you back to London so I can make sure you don’t endanger any other lives on the road or your own with your recklessness.”
She huffs and folds her arms across her chest, but she doesn’t complain any more. And when I stop the car outside the large, two-story brick house opposite a pleasant looking park, she mutters something that sounds like ‘thank you’ under her breath.
I’m too shocked to respond before she opens the door and climbs out of the car.
I stay where I am, aware that getting out fully naked in a street full of humans is a bad idea. When I flew in before, I found a quiet rooftop to shift on, but it’s closer to midday now and the street is significantly busier.
I watch Loren as she crosses the street and walks up to the wrought-iron gate in the high brick wall. She presses the buzzer and waits. But after three attempts and many minutes, she eventually gives up.
Her expression is stony as she returns to the car. “Fine. You were right. Happy now?”
“Not overly. ”
She’s silent for a minute, staring out the window. Eventually she speaks. “We’re getting lunch before we go back to London. I’m starving.”
The laugh that rips from me at her imperious declaration surprises me as much as her. She finally turns to look at me. “What?”
“It’s cute that you think you’re in charge here, Carandang. But I’ll indulge you, because I’m hungry too.”
She rolls her eyes. “You’re not coming in with me anywhere dressed like that.”
I chuckle as I pull onto the street. “Oh, I have clothes. I just assumed you were enjoying the view.”
She doesn’t dignify my provocation with a response, but even through her clothes, I can smell that she was.
