The town is as old as America itself, always drawing monsters within it. The town is alive, and it takes care of its residents. It draws people in.
At some point, two decades ago, two lovers (a monster and human) died when their families didn’t accept them and turned the couple against each other, leading to their deaths.
Angered and saddened by the event, the town put up walls around the town’s borders, trapping everyone, monsters and humans alike inside. She won’t let them free unless they can prove to her that their love is real.
Since then, the town and its inhabitants are trapped in limbo. The sun goes up, the sun goes down, but nothing ever changes. There’s no communication with the outside world. Zero contact. Families have been separated since. Some trapped in town, some stuck outside it.
