“ W e need to talk,” I shout after her as Scarlett quickly rushes out of class. Her bag is thrown over her shoulder, her hips swaying in her short uniform skirt and my dick is already hard just watching her walk away. I don’t think I’ll ever tire of seeing her play out this grunge chic schoolgirl look she has going on.
On the outside she looks like this innocent, studious teenager, but underneath the collared blouse and pleated skirt, lies a tattooed, sensual temptress that drives me insane.
“I have nothing to say to you,” she yells back, her footsteps moving rapidly away from me. If only she knew the faster she runs, the harder I chase.
“He’s gone. I told you I would take care of it,” I say, referring to the fact that Macallan no longer works at the academy. For once my uncle kept his word. After the disaster that happened that night at The Gallows, when the son of a bitch put his mouth and hands on my girl only after fucking drugging her, I swore he’d seen the end of his days here.
She turns to me, her eyes red and teary, as she contemplates my response. “I made him get rid of him. Macallan won’t ever come near you again. He’s been fired, exiled…” I run a hand anxiously through my hair as she stands blankly staring at me in silence. “He shouldn’t have been able to do what he did to you. For the rest of my life I will regret not being there to stop him, but I’m glad that I made it in time before he—” I pause, not wanting to finish the sentence.
She steps forward slightly, reaching her hand up and caressing my face gently with her fingers. “You think this makes up for it? Suddenly all’s forgiven? If it weren’t because of you and your uncle, I would have never been there.”
“Then let me make everything right!” I grip her hand that cups my face, forcing it to remain in its place.
Somber eyes look at mine, unanswered questions wreaking havoc in her mind. “There’s no such thing. I’m forever in this mess because of you, him, and everything this place represents, and the worst part is I don’t even know why.”
“Meet me next week. I’ll text you where and when. I’ll be gone for a few days, but I want to figure this all out with you. You have my word that I will help you find the answers you seek. Scarlett, I know you have no reason to trust me. After my part in all of this I wouldn’t expect you to.” She tries to pull her hand away, but my grip tightens, not allowing her to move. “But I’m asking for another chance. A chance to prove to you I’m on your side. I will fight with you to bring him down for every sin he’s ever committed, for every crime he’s been a part of, for every one of his illicit affairs. For all of it.”
“You don’t have that kind of power,” she whispers against me, her eyes looking shrewdly at mine as her mood shifts to a feebler one. I move in closer, leaning my head down to meet hers, eye to eye we stand. Her lips are just inches from mine. So easily I could reach down and take them, but I’m asking for her trust. So that means I won’t kiss her again unless she asks me to.
“But I know someone who does. And I promise you, soon you will too.”
