DONOVAN
W hen Silver Forest stormed into my life, I knew things would be forever different. Yes, she was meant to rule the coven, but I never expected her to own my heart.
She is an enigma wrapped inside a tempest. A woman who has dealt with a mass amount of loss, pain and struggles, but still she fights.
I once said she was broken and bruised, but Silver is a warrior and this world isn't ready for her.
She will be extraordinary, and I will support anything that she does… Even if it means, I have to be on the sidelines, watching.
I know her leaving was the right call, but it doesn't mean I have to accept it. I'm not ready to give her up, and I will die trying to bring her back to us.
I never foresaw this happening, but I know this is our only shot. I need my girl back.
Silver Forest is a wild hurricane, but she’s mine. Well, ours. Watching her become the evil that she is today is killing me, and it’s time to get her soul back.
By any means possible. Even if we are breaking a thousand rules and risking letting the darkness consume us.
Tonight is the night. Our only chance to change our future.
Arrow and Clara lay Silver's body down onto the cold slab. The storm outside is getting stronger and I know we need to hurry.
“We don’t have much time. That spell will only keep Luke down for so long,” I shout, over the wind, as Jade places the crystals all around Silver’s sleeping body. Clara lights the candles as the storm rages behind the cavern walls.
This place was hard to access. Even with a portal, we needed to climb up a steep cliff to reach the cave's entrance.
“Arrow, grab the dagger and start carving,” I order, shouting as the rain gets louder.
He grunts in response, before picking up the thin silver blade and dragging it across his arm, letting his blood drip onto Silver.
Blood magic.
Our last resort to get our girl back. He hands me the dagger and I do the same, holding back my flinch as the cut stings.
I would do anything for this woman. I'd carve my heart out, if it would save her in the end.
“I pray this works,” Clara mutters before tossing the herbs onto Silver.
The aroma of Sage soaked in Lemongrass and Blue Vervain.
The perfect combination to hopefully ward off the evil inside of her and have Mother Nature accept our pleas.
A glow emanates from her body as the blood mixes in with the leaves. Jade gasps as Silver’s body begins to levitate in the air, and her hair starts to change back to a blood-red color.
I've missed seeing the old Silver. Black doesn't suit her.
“It’s working,” Jade cries out in joy, and Clara starts to chant.
“Where is the Yarrow? We must cover her in the Witches Nettle now before the spell ends.”
Arrow grabs the yellow flower and begins placing it all over her chest.
My heart races as I watch the transformation, but something isn’t right. The blood-red strands turn a piercing white and Silver’s eyes snap open, a horrifying scream leaving her lips.
“No, no!” Arrow shouts, getting angry. A portal opens up beside us, and I’m frozen as a figure steps through.
Silver lands back onto the ground with a whimper, and I watch as the person shuffles closer to us.
A wave of their hand has us being pushed away from Silver, and restrained against the cavern walls with a powerful force.
Clara starts to yell and shout as they reach for the blade and thrust it into Silver’s chest. I watch in horror as our last chance to save the woman we love is fading from existence.
This wasn’t supposed to happen. Not like this. I just wanted to get her back. Bring Silver into the light, like before. Now everything has gone to shit.
How is she even here right now?
