CHAPTER TWELVE

ADRIAN

When the party is in full swing, once again Matías and I find ourselves at a beer pong table, looking for a win.

I nearly lose the game for us when I lean over to tell him I can’t stop thinking about having his dick in my mouth earlier.

His eyes widen before he pushes me away. Okay, so maybe I’m a little drunk, but it’s too loud in here for anyone to have heard me.

He was clearly flustered, because he missed his shot.

We eventually win, and afterward, we make our way to the kitchen.

I can’t stop staring at him and thinking about everything I want to do to him.

“You need to stop,” he says quietly as he grabs a bottle of water from the fridge and hands it to me.

My smile is slow and lascivious. “Stop what?”

“Looking at me that way.”

He glances around but nobody’s paying attention .

“I can’t help it.”

“Well, try. Or I’ll have to stop coming to these parties.”

I pout. “Fine.”

“Drink your water.”

“Yes, sir.”

I take a gulp and then reach into a bag of chips.

“What are you doing tomorrow?” he asks me.

“Besides sleeping until one?”

He shakes his head with a small grin. “Besides that.”

“Nothing.”

“I want to do something with you.”

I grin at him. “Oh yeah?”

“Not that,” he chastises, looking around again.

“Okay.”

“You don’t want to know what it is?”

I shrug. “Doesn’t matter. I’ll be with you.”

His smile stretches across his face and when I look at him, he turns away and pretends to care about a spill on the counter.

“Okay, well, I’ll be here to get you at two.”

“Are you leaving?” I ask.

He nods. “I’ll text you later.”

“Okay.”

I hate that I can’t hug him or kiss him goodbye. I want to walk him to the car and watch as he drives away, but even that would be too much. He’s just a guy from class according to everyone else, and we have been nearly inseparable all night.

“Be safe,” I say.

“Always.”

I grin and he walks away, and suddenly I don’t even want to party anymore. I would rather be with him.

I’m so screwed .

I wait the exact amount of time it should take for him to get home and then I text.

I miss you.

You’re drunk.

Yes, but I always miss you when I’m not with you.

I think maybe I went too far. We’re hardly official. We can’t be official when we’re a secret. I’m saying I miss him already? What’s wrong with me? Twenty minutes goes by and I’m already in my room, resigned to trying to sleep while the party still rages on.

I’m outside. Want to join me?

I grab a T-shirt and some pants and run out the door, down the stairs, and across the yard. I ignore the complaints of people I run into and search for his car.

Go right .

I turn and find his headlights pointing the opposite direction, his car double parked next to someone who’s at this party.

I run over and jump in. “Found you.”

He smiles. “You did. Let’s go, Mr. Incredible.”
