Chapter 31

Nichol

Happy Holigays

“ F uck.” Nichol says, holding the salty pool on his tongue, leaning back on one arm and staring up into the baker’s dreamy sea-blue eyes gazing down at him. Watching him stroke toward his own climax.

“Don’t,” Teddy pleads, softly. “I want it.” He cups Nichol’s jaw with one palm, and folds down, lifting Nichol off his knees with the other hand gripping his bicep.

Nichol rises, as his jeans and underwear drop to his ankles.

Teddy walks forward, guiding Nichol back, against the bed and pushing him down to sit on its edge.

Teddy lowers to his knees, biting back a wince, and settling between Nichol’s thighs, without breaking eye contact.

His face moves down, parting his lips. The baker’s auburn beard tangles in Nichol’s golden blond body hair, as Teddy’s tongue reaches out and takes him into his mouth.

They stare into each other while Teddy swallows his length, then dreamily closes his eyes and moans euphoric delight.

The baker’s prickly beard teases Nichol’s thighs, sending an intoxicating shockwave of electricity through him, and sowing a rash of goosebumps over his skin. He grips the back of Teddy’s head, rolling his hips and pushing deeper inside Teddy’s eager mouth.

Teddy’s thick body shifts back and forth. The muscles in his back tense and buckle as his silken wet tongue strokes Nichol’s cock, swelling on the edge, until it finally releases down Teddy’s throat. Nichol’s sucks air down to his diaphragm and collapses back onto the mattress. His long body arcs, rising off the bedspread.

“Fuck.” Nichol exhales, as his body convulses and Teddy holds his position until every drop has finished emerging.

Teddy licks his lips and kisses Nichol’s belly, then chest, and his mouth climbs the side of Nichol’s neck until their faces meet and slick nutty tongues tangle with each other.

Teddy stands up, and Nichol follows, sitting on the edge of the bed again. His jeans and boxer briefs are around his ankles, his soft cock flopping between his legs. From the waist up, he’s still the picture of the city-slicker Guncle, coiffed blond waves hardly disturbed, nephew-appliqued lights still attached to that ridiculous sweater. Teddy lifts a hand to stroke Nichol’s cheek with his thumb and looks down his hairy chest into Nichol’s gaze.

“Took us long enough to get here.” Nichol spreads a wide, satisfied grin across his face.

Teddy’s face lights up, arching a brow, and he smirks dreamily, “Tell me about it.’’

Nichol chuckles, laying his cheek against Teddy’s belly, nuzzling into his furry flesh, and wrapping his arms in a hug around the baker’s thick runner’s thighs.

“We have a party to get to,” Nichol says, kissing Teddy’s stomach and squeezing him tighter.

“They can wait a few minutes longer.” Teddy’s fingers weave into Nichol’s hair.

They savor the embrace before Nichol finally stands to his feet, kisses Teddy’s lips, and folds down to pull up his pants.

“You should probably get dressed,” he chuffs, chewing the edge of his lip.

“Right.” Teddy is beaming, starry-eyed, while he pulls his party outfit on. He catches Nichol’s gaze at one point and the other man blushes, ducking his head before whatever he sees in Teddy’s face. Finally, he’s dressed, and he turns to Nichol, holding his arms out to the side to show off his outfit.

“Love the vest,” Nichol says with a wink, tugging on the sequined fabric and smoothing Teddy’s crisp white collar.

“I thought you would.” Teddy kisses him again, briefly, before they both deeply inhale and head for the stairs.

When they reach the top landing, Katie meets Nichol’s eyes. Her brows twist and her mouth crooks into a knowing leer.

He confesses his sinful behavior with a coy shrug.

“Where have you been?” Max noseys, while impatiently prancing around the table, hungrily eyeing the holiday spread.

“Playing hide and seek,” Nichol replies. “You lost.”

Katie laughs.

“You didn’t tell me we were playing.” Max folds his arm and grimaces.

“Maybe next time.” Nichol offers with a shrug and a smile.

Raps on the front door announce it swinging open.

“Hello everybody.” Rebecca bellows.

She and Carl climb the stairs with arms full of brightly wrapped gifts.

“Look who we ran into outside.” Rebecca is smiling and twists back, peering around her husband.

Principal Butler steps up on the landing, smiling proudly and ushering his guest to follow. A tall slender man, chiseled from head to toe, with wire-rim glasses and a smoothly sculpted dark pompadour, joins the party.

“This is my partner, Brett.”

Nichol’s eyes widen and he turns to Teddy.

“Hey Mr. Hinkly,” Max cheers, delighted.

The baker shrugs with a smirk. He leans into Nichol’s ear. “This place is a lot queerer than you think.”

Nichol nudges him with an elbow, chuckling, and wraps his arm over Teddy’s shoulders.

“Can we eat now?” Max’s googly eyes are fixed on the food.

“Yes Max, dig in.” Katie taps the boy on top of his head.

Stuart spins at Max’s feet with his goofy tongue dangling out of a wide smile.

“So, Mr. B, how long have you and Mr. Hunkly . . .” Nichol’s eyes flare and a warm blush rises from his chest. “Hinkly… been dating?” He navigates through his own shameful blunder.

Principal Butler chuckles. “That’s what I call him at home too. He claims to hate it.” He playfully nudges Brett’s elbow but winks at the rest of the table. “But . . .”

The hunkly teacher flashes his partner a coy smirk and chews tight-lipped, then swallows with a sip of wine, before answering the question. “Nearly a year.”

“We had no idea.” Rebecca chimes in.

“It’s probably for the best, that people don’t know.” Gary sips his glass of pinot. “There aren’t any rules against co-workers dating at the school, but we don’t want any potential negative attention on either of us.”

“And I was trying to set you up with my Nichol here.” Rebecca gleams at Nichol—chomping down on his butter roll.

“We did have a little giggle at that.” Gary chuckles.

Rebecca’s cheeks blush.

“Your mother came on strong.” Brett adds, turning to Nichol. “Practically bullied me for my number.”

“Mm-hmm… She does that.” Nichol flashes his mother a jovially scolding side-eyed glance.

“And what about you and Theodore?” Gary asks.

Nichol swallows hard, quickly chasing the lodged bite with a swig of wine to push it down.

“Nichol has an offer to go back to Seattle,” Teddy says.

“What?” Rebecca squeaks.

“That’s great,” Carl adds, with feigned enthusiasm.

“You’re leaving?” Max’s glare turns welly with a mouth full of mashed potatoes.

Nichol’s chest thuds and his jaw clenches as he stares at Max’s devastated face, turning to Teddy, sulking down at his plate and shuffling a slab of ham around with his fork.

He looks to his Mother, and then Katie—both of them waiting for him to speak.

“The position is remote.” He turns back and speaks to the side of Teddy’s moping face. “I can work from anywhere—technically.”

The edge of the baker’s lips gently curl up and his eye sparkles as he sips his wine, then meets Nichol’s gaze.

“What does that mean?” Max’s brows and freckled cheeks twist with confusion.

“It means, Uncle Nichol is going to stick around for a while,” Katie answers for her brother, patting his knee under the table.

Teddy nudges Nichol’s other leg with his own, staring adoringly with a wide grin beneath his auburn beard.

“Oh, Nicky! I’m so happy!” Rebecca hops out of her seat, prances around the table, and wraps herself around his shoulders.

“Okay, Mom.” Nichol says, squirming in his chair and rolling his eyes, then winks at Max—stuffing his freckled little face with jellied cranberry sauce.

Nichol scoops a hand around Teddy’s thigh, squeezes the inside of his knee, and gazes back into twinkling sea-blue eyes. He whispers, “Looks like I’m sticking around for a while.”

“Good.” Teddy beams joyfully.
