Chapter 38

“Since we have enough soap to last an eternity, I think I’m going to have a wash by the lagoon before it gets too dark,” Eve announces as Astro and I settle the generator inside the sleeping hut.

I saw a dark cloud in the sky earlier, and I’m pretty sure it’s a rain cloud headed our way. It has rained several times before, but the hut has kept well. It is not always dry, but it is better than sitting in a storm without any cover. It barely fits us, but we can’t keep a decades-old generator out in a rainstorm.

“I think it’s an excellent idea, darling. Maybe we’ll all join you,” I suggest.

Zane swings his arm around Eve’s shoulders.

“Come on, Firecracker, let’s go get us clean!” I watch them take off towards the lagoon.

As soon as I put the last blanket and towel in the safety of the hut, I look at the remaining men.

“Fellas? Shall we join them?”

Byron stuffs his documents into a bag and places them inside the hut, along with Eve’s massive collection of soap bars. Everything else outside the hut here will survive if it rains.

By the time we arrive in the lagoon, Eve and Zane are already undressed and having a wash, I remove my clothes and enter the water over to Eve, where she hands me her bar of soap. Taking it I make a smooth lather on my hands and hand it back to her, where I begin to wash her hair. She welcomes the attention and allows me to wash her thoroughly as I clean every bit of her and then myself.

“I’d love another shave,” Astro says, “But I know between me, Foster, and Jack, we’ll blunt the three razors in no time.”

“For white boys, you have a lot of hair,” Zane jokes .

“Mate, what I wouldn’t do for a pube shave,” Astro chimes in, causing me to chuckle.

“We’re all sporting some heavy fuzz down there,” I say.

“Can you stand it, Eve?”

She smiles, “I’ve gotten a couple of pubes in my mouth, but it doesn’t bother me.”

“Eve, how come your legs are hair-free?” Byron adds, “Did you get them lasered?”

“Yup, armpits and bikini area too. A couple of years ago. I had planned for a six-week trip with some friends to a spa retreat in India and decided I didn’t want to have to think about personal grooming, considering I’ve always had a woman wax me and rarely ever used a razor. It was an easy decision to make. I guess I kind of got lucky with that, considering I would have been a pretty hairy mess by now.”

“I don’t believe any of us would have minded anyhow,” I say. “It’s not your body hair that’s a deal breaker.”

“Definitely not,” Zane confirms, and the others chime in similarly.

“But we’re damn lucky about it!” Astro roars.

“You’re a damn arse!” Byron scoffs at him.

Astro laughs and curls his arm around Eve, pulling her onto him. “And you’re lucky to get this as yours,” he says, and judging by her rosy cheeks, he’s grinding himself onto her pelvis.

Which brings me to another train of thought.

“Since we all gathered together, obviously with similar intentions in mind. We need to discuss a few things.”

All five pairs of eyes turn to me.

“It’s apparent that we’re all in a relationship with Eve.” I turn to her because I want her to be involved in this discussion. “Darling, I believe we should arrange a kind rota regarding the sleeping arrangements.”

“You mean in the hut?” she flutters her eyes at me.

“Well, yes.”

“I think there’s enough room for all of us, and intimate moments can happen elsewhere, unless…well…unless…you all want to…well…you know,” Eve says, not sure how to address an orgy with us.

“Unless you want all of us?” I ask.

She looks at me thoughtfully.

“Do you want all of us, Princess?” Astro asks, curious .

“Well, I would. But I wouldn’t know how to start.”

We start closing in on her.

“I think start with bathing nude in a lagoon for starters,” Jack says.

“While one washes you, and the others watch with hard stuffies,” I add.

“You were all…” Eve’s finding it hard to find words for once but her flushed cheeks say everything.

“All of us,” I confirm.

“Hard and erect,” Zane validates.

“What happens next?” she asks curiously.

Byron steps forward and lifts her out of the water. “We put you on a pedestal to admire you.” He sits her on the smooth surface at shallow end of the lagoon and we gather around her in a semi-circle.

Droplets of water cascade down her body, catching the light and glistening like tiny diamonds. Each bead of water traces the contours of her form, highlighting the smooth curve of her neck, slipping over her shoulders and the delicate lines of her collarbone, trailing down her arms, leaving shimmering paths in their wake.

Her skin glows with a dewy radiance, each droplet enhancing her ethereal beauty.

Astro quietly hands me the coconut bowl in which he collected the crushed ashes and soot earlier for this very purpose. I take it from him and approach Eve, feeling the weight of the moment.

I close in on her. “Then we each begin to add our mark of worship on you,” I say, dipping my finger in the black soot.

With reverence, I draw the first line across her forehead, a bold stroke against her pale, slightly sun-kissed skin. “Strength,” I say firmly. There's a touch of respect and admiration in her expression as she smiles at me.

Astro steps forward next, taking the bowl from me. He traces a swirl on her cheek. “Eternal connection,” he says, and he winks at her, causing her to smile back playfully.

When he passes Byron the half coconut shell, he takes it, making his way to Eve. His movements are steady and deliberate, marking a series of five dots along her collarbone. “Unity and protection.”

He steps back and smiles at her, and she returns it with a wide megawatt smile. It’s funny how Eve has a different smile for each one of us.

Jack dips his finger into the bowl Byron just handed him and with a steady hand, he draws a triangle on her cheek. As Jack completes the mark, he steps back and stares straight at her, “Wisdom and stability,” he says, and she nods as their eyes lock momentarily. There’s no smile, only a deep connection of their souls.

Finally, Zane takes the bowl. With a firm hand, he draws a crescent moon on her shoulder. “Guidance and intuition,” he says. Eve smiles warmly at Zane. It’s a smile filled with tender affection, one that communicates a deep connection and understanding between them.

Eve remains still, as she closes her eyes, absorbing the significance of each mark. We finish and the soot dries into a delicate pattern that blends her essence with ours, binding us together in this sacred ritual.

We step back, admiring our handiwork and the transformation of Eve into a warrior marked by devotion.

After a moment, Eve opens her eyes, taking in the marks we've made.

I watch as Jack goes over to where he dropped his trousers earlier and returns with something in his hands. It's an intricate shell necklace crafted with care and precision. Each shell, varying in shades of white, pink, and soft blue, is perfectly aligned, creating a mesmerizing pattern that shimmers in the lagoon's sunlight.

Jack approaches Eve and gently places the necklace around her neck. The shells contrast beautifully against her pale skin, enhancing her delicate features and adding a touch of ethereal elegance.

“So that’s why you have been so fixated on finding seashells all the time,” she says, and he looks surprised.

“You noticed me doing that?”

She chuckles, “You’re not the only voyeur on the island.”

He looks at Eve with a mixture of pride and affection. I think she’s just made his year with that statement.

“I was searching for the perfect ones just for you.” He says.

“Thank you, I love it,” she says, looking at him and then at us.

Byron then steps forward, holding a crown of exotic flowers that he, Astro, Zane, and I collected earlier. The crown is a vibrant array of colors—deep reds, bright yellows, fuchsias, and lush greens, interwoven to create a masterpiece.

He places it carefully on Eve's head. “For our savage queen . We pledge our unrestricted devotion to you," Byron says, his voice solid and sincere. "This devotion goes beyond this island. Wherever you go, you take our hearts and souls with you. Nothing and no one can break that bond."

Astro, Zane, Jack and I nod in agreement, our expressions mirroring the solemnity of Byron's words. We mean every syllable. This bond we have formed is unbreakable.

A single tear escapes Eve's eye, but before it can travel far, Byron gently wipes it away with his thumb. The moment is intimate and tender, solidifying our collective promise to stand by her side, no matter what the future holds.

With a serene smile, she reaches for the bowl of soot. "Now, let me mark each of you," she says, slipping back into the water.

She moves gracefully and deliberately, dipping her fingers into the soot and approaches me first. With a gentle touch, she draws a line down my cheek, mirroring the strength I marked on her.

Next, she turns to Astro, tracing a delicate spiral on his forehead, echoing the eternal connection he symbolized. She approaches Byron, marking a series of five dots along his chest, signifying the unity and protection he bestowed upon her. Then she goes to Jack, dipping her fingers into the bowl and traces a triangle on his chin that resonates the wisdom and stability he sanctified her with.

Finally, she approaches Zane, drawing a crescent moon on his arm, reflecting the guidance and intuition he symbolized.

As she completes each mark, we feel the significance of the ritual deepening.

“My five savage knights , marked by fire and ash, bound by ritual and trust, you've etched upon me the essence of our unity. In return, I carry each of you within me, marked not just in flesh but in spirit. Together, we face whatever lies ahead, guided by the bonds we've forged here in this sacred place.”

The lagoon's surface reflects our images, now unified and adorned with the marks of our shared bond. We stand together, warriors marked by devotion, connected by the sacred symbols that now adorn our skin.
