Sollit
Leah was changing. He didn’t think she’d noticed yet, but it was definite and undeniable. At least, it was to him and Tillos who were watching her so closely. And he didn’t just mean in the way she was learning from Shorvi to style her hair and face.
It wasn’t just the change to her confidence either. Though that was certainly part of it. She was really doing her best to perform her part of little sister in the play to her absolute best ability. It was an easy role for an experienced actress, but she definitely wasn’t one. She was a phenomenal singer – when she could sing – but she had no experience acting. But Skara did, and she was a great mentor for their mate. As she did better and better, her confidence grew.
And with her growing confidence, she carried herself differently.
She had begun incorporating avanava style clothing into her wardrobe. She wasn’t to the point yet where she would let Sollit and Tillos dress her – though they dearly wanted to. She insisted she could handle it, like it was a chore she didn’t want them to have to perform. Sollit suspected that she didn’t understand how they thought of it, but they didn’t press the matter.
For now.
The clothes she was choosing weren’t quite as modest as the ones she brought with her from Earth, nor were they the more lovely, creative options they’d chosen for her.
The designer they preferred was an old friend of theirs from primary school. Her clothes were made more for fun and beauty than just casual wear. They weren’t uncomfortable, but they were a bit more elaborate than ‘normal’ clothes.
But Leah was an actress and performer – she couldn’t be seen in plain clothes. And, selfishly, they liked seeing her dressed up.
She still preferred the blue pants from Earth called jeans – which were somehow different from other types of pants just because of the fabric according to her. But she combined them with the tops from Yeluka Akuley in a way that surprisingly worked.
The tunic shirts, the cape shirts, the vibrant patterns, the high necks, the open chests – the beautiful tops worked well with her jean pants. They also tended to show at least part of her arms. Sometimes her shoulders would be bare with long, billowing or bell sleeves. Other times she would have sleeves that were completely disconnected from the shirt. She was a bit self-conscious showing her belly or her chest, but her arms she could bear without issue.
The pretty clothes inspired her to do her hair each morning. Shorvi had provided her with makeup that she was applying in the human style – colors on her eyelids and brightening her lips and cheeks. She insisted that it wasn’t well done, that she was still learning, and Shorvi still found lots of mistakes, but it looked good to them.
It was good seeing her overcoming the hesitancy that made her so reluctant to show herself off. And best of all, she was doing it without any prompting on their part. She was the one who wanted to grow and change herself, and it was wonderful to see.
Moreover, she was becoming more confident in her desire.
They were waiting for her decision to have sex again. And it came sooner than he expected. Just one day after she had ridden Tillos’ tongue – which Sollit couldn’t wait to try himself – she came to bed in a small nightgown. She stood nervously, looking between where they waited for her to join them, fingers pulling at the hem of the fabric, and hesitantly asked-
“Can we do it again?”
They didn’t need her to clarify to know what she meant, and they were happy to satisfy the request. It seemed like it had been forever since last time, though it had realistically only been a few days.
Too long to have been kept from her.
Sollit eagerly yanked her down into bed with them.
It was a joy to pleasure and feed her again.
She suckled their cocks so eagerly. Craving their taste like a mate should. It was good. Their seed was perhaps the best thing for her to eat. It was bringing the most changes to her.
Sollit didn’t think she knew about that though. She just wanted to taste them, to drink them down. To the point that, the next morning, he was woken with her hungry mouth eagerly sucking him down while she stroked Tillos, then switching to do the same to him.
That was a great morning.
They were happy to report to their fathers how well their mating was going and, within a mark, they got a response stating that they were proud of them and that they, their parents, were going to come see one of their upcoming shows. They would get a chance to meet their mate properly, and they could see for themselves just how well they were taking care of her.
He and Tillos read that message together as they stood in the understage, waiting for their cues to come on. Since this play was avanava in origin, the parts played by male characters were automatically meant to be played by two people. So, though Tillos was the businessmale, Sollit accompanied him everywhere as his assistant and partner. Their comedic performance very much played off of each other, their lines often overlapping and intertwining with wordplay that could be quite clever, especially in the original tongue. Some of that was lost in the translation to Standard, but it was still funny enough to be entertaining.
Right now, they were practicing a scene with Leah and Skara, leaving the twins time to check their messages and respond.
It would be good to see their parents again. They hadn’t really spent much time with them in person in years. Not since they left home and joined their first troupe. Nor did they have any real desire to return to Yeluka Akuley. If they did ever settle down, it was more likely to be on Holotulle, capital of the Coalition. They enjoyed having access to all the various delights the worlds had to offer, and those were easiest to get there.
But despite the distance, they kept up correspondence with their parents frequently. Not just for advice on taking care of their mate either. They still liked to travel home to see them every so often as well. It might not be their home anymore, but the love of their parents was still something they enjoyed and craved from time to time.
Similarly, their parents would sometimes leave the planet to come see them perform in person. They could, and often did, watch their performances streaming. Not every one, of course, as they would perform the same play multiple times in a row. But they always caught, at least, the first or last showing of every play they did.
They had seen Leah perform already as the sleeping queen. But this play would be their first time getting to see her actually acting.
“Can you imagine when they hear her sing?” Tillos asked, grinning as they sent off their response, telling them how eager they were to see them and to a request to let them know when they were coming so that they could plan their time together.
“They’ll love it,” Sollit agreed, grinning as he looked up through the understage entrance – which was wide open right now since they were only practicing. They had a near perfect view of Leah being coached by Corvidair in how to be expressive with her movements. Even a character known for her lack of expression had to be acted properly.
Their parents likely wouldn’t be able to come see her for this performance. But…
“I believe it’s her turn to pick next time,” Sollit said, grinning.
“You’re right,” Tillos chuckled. “I wonder what kind of performance she’ll choose. A human one, for certain.”
“I can’t wait to perform a human play.”
“It will certainly be something new for everyone. And all the more exciting for being human in origin.”
“I’m honestly surprised Corvidair let her wait this long to make a choice.”
“He’s greedy when it comes to his troupe, but he’s also smart. He has a knack for knowing exactly how much to push.”
And his training was certainly part of the reason why Leah was blooming as brightly as she was. He was part of her confident transformation, as a teacher and mentor.
In other words, she was enjoying her life here among the Twilight Troupe just as much as Sollit and Tillos did. She was happy, in a good place, and surrounded by people that she liked, and it was showing in the way she was growing and changing.
And the sight made them both smile as they watched her from below.
