I don’t have the words for what today has been.

I’ve had a lot of good moments in my life. A lot .

I don’t think any of them top today.

The knowledge that they’re in good hands.

Each other’s.

They’ve finally got each other when they haven’t for so long.

And Duke. I know he’ll be there for them, whatever comes next.

And Wyatt, regardless of what Rory’s telling herself when it comes to that man.

Alexis will find someone who loves her just as much, I know she will.

It lifts a weight that I’ve had in my chest since I first saw the look on the doctor’s face, before they even got the words out and told me my fate.

I realize what my heart’s filled with. It’s a feeling I’ve spent more than twelve years chasing.
