CHAPTER 4

Cade

When Byron and I dropped by Elliot’s place the morning of his race, there was one question on our minds.

As soon as he let us in, I asked our very happy-looking buddy flat out, “Elliot, did we see who I thought we saw coming out of the building just now?”

Elliot shut the door behind us and looked at us, knowing what must have just happened.Byron and I, in our other bodies, swooped in over the building, and our sharp dragon eyes caught sight of someone coming out the front doors and walking fast up the street–someone female, and someone that we’d seen just a couple of days ago.

I grinned crookedly at Elliot, and Byron folded his arms, both of us waiting for the answer we could already guess. He was just out of the shower, naked, with a towel draped over one shoulder.Running his fingers through still moist hair, Elliot just chuckled softly, and we followed him into the living room where he sat against the back of the couch.“You saw someone coming out of the building?” he answered teasingly.

“Yes,” said Byron, “we saw her leaving.“The brown hair, the thin little figure–it was her, wasn’t it?”

Elliot just smiled wider and crossed his arms.

Byron said, “You gave her a pass to the match you had yesterday–and you invited her back here after, didn’t you?”

Finally Elliot spoke up.“So, did you guys happen to have anything on that match?I beat Larcombe, you know.If you had something on it, you would have made out great.”

I pointed a finger knowingly at him and said, “No, never mind that.Byron and I didn’t make out as great as you, did we?That was her we saw, wasn’t it?”

“There are about a dozen brunettes I could have invited back here after the match,” Elliot said, his satisfied smile telling everything that his words weren’t.

“And only one that you gave a free pass,” said Byron.“That little college girl, that…what was her name?Jeanette?”

“Jenna,” Elliot said.

Byron shook his own finger at him.“Jenna! You had Jenna over last night.”

Bluntly, I said, “You were over her last night.”

Now Elliot laughed out loud at the way I got right to the point.

“Hah!” I crowed.“I knew it!You spent last night fucking Jenna!”

At the end of his laugh, Elliot replied, “No.I spent last night and the first part of this morning fucking Jenna.”

“Damn,” I said, shaking my head.“A girl in college, and you spent the night humping her.”

“And we had the best time,” said Elliot.

“Of course you did,” said Byron.“Don’t tell me:It was the first time she’s been fucked by an older guy.”

Elliot said nothing to that at first. He only took on this strange smile that we couldn’t read.He breathed in deeply and looked off and out at something only he could see. That made us even more curious.

“What?” Byron asked.“She’s what, nineteen? Was it her first time with an older guy?

Focusing his attention back on us again, Elliot replied, “It was her first time with anyone.”

Of all the things he could have said, that was one thing we were not expecting to hear.Byron and I traded a quietly startled look.My mouth fell open with no words and he blinked before I spoke up again.

“No…!” I said.“You’re kidding me.She wasn’t…?No…!”

“Yep,” said Elliot, nodding.

“A virgin?” Byron said, wide-eyed.

“That’s right,” Elliot replied.“Popped the cherry for her right here.”He slapped the back of the couch where he sat.“Afterwards I took her to bed…and it just got better from there.”

“Shit,” I said, shaking my head, impressed.

“Listen,” Elliot went on.“This wasn’t just a lay with some groupie, all right?I know how I made it sound just now, but this…this was different. She told me she’d never been laid, and…it was just different, that’s all.”He rubbed the towel in his hair and put it down on his lap.“There was something about the way we connected, and I don’t mean just the sex. There’s something about Jenna, something different; I can’t describe it.I…I don’t know, there’s something else that I sensed about her.I had this feeling about her even when we were at the museum for your speech, Byron. It made me want to know more about her. That’s why I asked her to the match and then invited her back here.Well, that and the sex.”

“So what did you find out?” Byron asked.“Besides the virgin thing.”

Elliot frowned a little.“Not much. She’s a first-year student at Pendrake Tech. She’s from out of town; from Wyvern Village, she says. She’s got no family around here; just an uncle who travels. She doesn’t see him a lot.And she’s majoring in Applied Science and Engineering.”

“Uh-huh,” I said.“Brainy girl, that figures, from the way she was at the museum. The quiet, intellectual, retiring type.”

“She wasn’t that ‘retiring’ last night,” Elliot said, looking off into space with a grin of remembered sex–very hot remembered sex, from his expression.“I’m telling you, I would have never known she was a virgin. Not this girl.Damn…”He trailed off, and I was quietly impressed, and so was Byron, at how satisfied our buddy was with his little science student.

“Well, you know what they say about quiet, intellectual types,” Byron said, rubbing his chin.“They can surprise you. They might have more going on than you’d expect.A quiet human, or so they say, probably has more ‘dragon’ inside them than you’d usually know.”

“Huh,” I said.“Well, I know Jenna sure had plenty of ‘dragon’ inside her last night, eh, Elliot?”

Byron winced at me, rolled his eyes, and shook his head.Elliot smirked in reaction, but glancing at his lap, I saw a bit of a telltale “tent” in the towel as it lay there.“Classy as always, Cade.Very classy.”

I shrugged.“Look, I’m just saying. The way we saw her leaving here, Jenna was practically flying without wings.”

“We were good together,” said Elliot.“And we’re going to be good together again, while she’s on break.”

“That’s to be expected, after the night she must have had with you,” I said.

“So, you’re getting back with her after your race today,” said Byron.

Elliot answered with a firm nod.“Definitely.”

Thoughtfully, Byron stroked his chin again.“Hmm.Hmm, hmm, hmm…”

I lit up with a smile. There were times that the three of us, Byron, Elliot, and I, could finish each other’s sentences and practically read each other’s thoughts. This was one of them.“Yeah, there’s one obvious place this is going, isn’t it?”

“Obvious, yes,” Byron said.“But doable is another thing.Elliot, do you think it’s doable?Do you think she’d be interested?Or willing?”

Elliot rubbed at the back of his neck, and I noticed the “tent” in his towel getting a little more prominent as the conversation turned to where it so often went when one of us got with a female. And it was the most interesting place to go.

“I don’t know, guys,” Elliot said.“You’re talking about Jenna going from being a virgin, to letting me screw her into the wee hours of the morning, to what the three of us like to do, in twenty-four hours’ time. That’s a lot to expect.People change, and try new things, but I don’t know. She’s more of a dragon than you’d think, like we were saying. But this might be too fast for her.”

“We’ll never know until we try,” said Byron.

I grinned and pointed to Byron.“What he said.”

“Listen,” Elliot insisted.“I don’t want Jenna to feel like we’re pushing her into anything.A few hours ago, Jenna had never been naked with one guy.Now you want to ask her if she’d be willing to try what we do?Sex is new to Jenna. She loved it with me, but I don’t want her to feel pressured or rushed into anything she’s not ready for.”A look came over him that I’d never seen on Elliotbefore. It was what I’d heard some people call “profound,” which was new.He said, “I’m telling you, Jenna is not an ordinary girl. She’s not like any other girl we’ve been with.I don’t think we’ve ever met anyone like her.I don’t know what it is about her, but she might not be ready for…you know…us.”

“But she’s not fragile,” said Byron.“At least not from the way you describe her.She might be more open to it than you’d think, if we provided the right setting…”He crossed his arms and narrowed his eyes.

Encouraged, I said, “Yeah. If we set it up just right…”I watched Elliot watching Byron, and the “profound” look was still there.“Listen, Elliot, you know we’d never try to gang up on Jenna.”I winced at those last words.Even for me, not being the most refined guy, that was a poor choice of phrase.“I mean, the three of us, we’re not the kind to try to make a female think like she owes us something, or we want to make her feel she shouldn’t have any choice. When did we ever do that?If she only wants you, you know Byron and I’ll respect that.Right, Byron?”

“Respect, always,” Byron agreed.

“But if her mind is open to it,” I went on, “maybe we’ll all get to find out how special Jenna is.What do you say?”

“It’s not what I say,” Elliot replied firmly.“It’s what she says. This is her call, guys.Respect, like you said.”

I put my fist out in front of me.“Respect.”

Byron extended his own fist and put it against mine.“Respect.”

Finally, Elliot reached out and put his fist together with our two.“Okay then.Respect.If Jenna only wants me, it’s just me.But if she’s willing…”

Our buddy didn’t have to finish that sentence.I only said, “If she’s willing.”

It was settled, then. All that was left was for Elliot to go to his race and Byron and I to plan the next moves that we hoped would give Jenna an adventure she wouldn’t forget.
