RICK
“ Y ou talked to her?” Josh asked. I ignored him while making my way through traffic.
“Rick,” Miles clipped, and I caught his gaze on the rear-view mirror.
“What?” I hissed. Nerves I wasn’t used to crept up my neck, and sweat started to form at my hairline.
“Did you?”
“No, Miles. I’m just driving across town for shits and giggles hoping on a prayer that she’s free.”
“Fucking hell,” Josh mumbled, running his fingers through his hair. “There’s no need to be a dick,” he clipped, and I sighed. He was right
“Sorry,” I mumbled. “I talked to her sister,” I shared. “Rosie said she’s home alone for the next two days.”
“Two days,” Miles repeated. I didn’t miss the way his lips quirked up. Excitement started to pulse through the car. “Two days.” Josh grinned, and I nodded.
“Did you make the reservation?” I asked, my gut clenched.
I wasn’t the kind of man who asked things he knew the answers to, and this was all shit I knew. Details I had double- and tripled-checked. All three of us knew, but for some god-forsaken reason, we kept confirming. Josh nodded, not bothering to play coy.
“Hell yeah, I did. We have Room One Nineteen for the next two days.” Miles whistled and leaned back. Silence slowly filled the space, each of us deep in our own thoughts. Something kept bugging me, and I hated to be a Debbie Downer, but I had to put it out there.
“You know, we’re kinda bombarding her here,” I warned. I didn’t want to be the party pooper, but it needed to be said. We needed to be prepared for her to slam the door in our faces.
“You think if we cornered her in the parking lot, she would have willingly agreed?” Josh asked, and I noticed something flash across Miles’ face. He was on edge. More than usual. He hadn’t had a moment with her like Josh and I did. His might have been an innocent nap, but I had a feeling it had been more intimate than what Josh and I shared with her. But it didn’t change how snarky he had been, which wasn’t like him. The motherfucker should have jerked off a load before we got into the car to help him relax. Now it was too late.
“What?” I asked before returning my attention to the road.
“I don’t know.” Miles sighed. “I think she knows.”
“She knows?” Josh repeated. I didn’t have to look at him to know he turned his body and was scowling at Miles. “Knows what? About us?”
“I don’t know. Maybe, maybe not.” He groaned. “Doesn’t matter. We’re gonna find out in less than ten minutes.” He wasn’t wrong. Seven minutes later, we were parked next to her SUV that should have been upgraded a year ago. Two minutes after that, I knocked on her front door, hoping and praying for the first time in a very fucking long time that things would work out in our favor.
The door opened, and my heart never felt fuller.
Elena was wearing Miles’ hoodie and what looked like shorts so tiny that you had to look twice to see if she was wearing anything under that at all. It had taken us a week after Josh napped with her to find the time, and I liked knowing she hadn’t returned Miles’ hoodie.
“Hey, guys.” Her eyes widened. “What’s up?” Her eyes bounced from me to Miles to Josh and then back to me.
“Would you wanna go for a walk?” Josh asked. My brows bunched. We weren’t supposed to go on a walk. The plan was for us to ask if we could talk to her.
“A walk?” she repeated.
“Or if we could talk,” Miles said. She looked confused, and I was positive this was when she’d shut the door in our faces. This was when she sent us to hell.
“You three want to talk to me?” She blushed, and we nodded like a bunch of idiots. But we were her idiots. “Okay, umm, sure.” Her shoulder rose and fell in a shrug before she opened the door wider. “Come in.”
We’d never stepped foot into her place. Sure, each of us had driven past it, curious about the area she lived in and whether it was safe or not. Her two-bedroom cottage was sweet. Cozy and welcoming.
“If you guys want to take a seat.” She pointed at the oversized, well-loved older sectional. “Would you like something to drink?” Her eyes darted everywhere around the room but toward us. She was avoiding looking at us. She was nervous. The three of us glanced at one another and wordlessly communicated between us.
“Come here, baby,” I gently called for her. She exhaled slowly, shoving her hands into the pockets of the hoodie.
“Umm, the kids?—“
“Are with Rosie,” I cut in. Her brows bunched. She was cute if she thought she was going to outright lie to us.
“How do you know that?” she asked, but what she didn’t do was lie. Goddamn it, she was freaking cute. My lips twitched.
“Come here,” I ordered again, ignoring her question.
It hadn’t been too hard to get Rosie’s number from one of the girls in the daycare. It had taken a day for me to find the guts to call her, and when I did, I had my guys at my back.
We had laid it out honestly for Rosie.
We told her just how much we cared for Elena, how much we loved her. That the only thing we wanted was her happiness. After a scary warning, she told us she was in and would help us out with our plan.
If everything went off without a hitch, Elena would be ours and our time working in the emergency room would be over because we would be working at our own practice.
“Rick.” She licked her lips before she glanced at Josh and Miles.
“Go to him, baby.” Josh tipped his head. I held my breath. Would his gentle encouragement be enough? She wanted us. We knew that, but was it enough? Would she trust us and have enough faith in us to take a chance?
We waited for her to react. To see if she would move toward me or argue with us. Either way, we were prepared.
But we didn’t have to switch plans.
Elena slowly made her way toward me, and her hands slipped out of the pockets of the hoodie before she stopped about half a foot away from me.
“What?” she asked, crossing her arms over her chest, making the hoodie rise higher, giving us a peek of her toned thighs and the tiny purple shorts she wore.
“Closer,” I instructed. Her foot rose, and my hand reached for her, curling around her waist and bringing her right against me.
“Rick,” she squeaked, her eyes wide as she looked around me. “What are you doing?” she huffed and halfheartedly tried to push me away. When I didn’t let her go, she gave up the fight.
“Hi,” I stupidly said. It’s do or die time, and I say hi?! What the fuck is wrong with me!?
“Hi?” she repeated. “Rick?”
“It’s time we talk,” I announced. The slight fear I read in her eyes hit me square in the chest.
“Talk?” she repeated, and my eyes softened. She was nervous but not surprised by this. If anything, I had a feeling she had been waiting for us to make a move.
God, she felt good in my arms. Because she’s ours.
Josh and Miles flanked Elena, too. Each one at her side, wrapping an arm around her. My jaw clenched when they kissed each side of her temple. Fucking hell, it was hot. The way their lips pressed against her skin made me harder than I already was the moment I stepped out of the car.
I leaned forward and pressed my lips to her forehead before pulling back, and my eyes locked with hers. “You smell good, gorgeous.”
“Rick, you guys, umm…” She was breathless. “What?—“
“You know what’s going on, beautiful,” Josh murmured. His lips skimmed the side of her face.
“I’m not sure…” Elena didn’t finish her sentence. Miles turned her around and tipped her head up so she would look up at him. He was the tallest of us three, so she had to look up higher.
“You know,” he pressed, and she trembled.
“Miles.” Her whispered voice was going to be the end of me. Miles shot me a look over her head.
“You know,” he repeated. She pressed her lips together. “We like you,” Miles said.
“We want you,” Josh murmured at her side.
“We need you,” I said. Each of us spoke with confidence. But Elena didn’t make a sound. She didn’t even seem to be breathing. “We don’t want to scare you off.”
“Wait.” Her hands reached for mine and Miles’ while she turned her face to look at Josh. “Is this, are you guys… are you being serious, or is this some kind of joke or prank, because if it?—"
“We would never joke about something like this. We’re serious, baby. We would never say anything we didn’t mean. Ever,” I reassured her. She might not know it just yet, but I had a feeling with the way she sought out to connect with each of us when we were in a group, she most definitely had an idea.
“You guys… you want me?” Her eyes bounced between us, slowly taking in the way we each nodded. “Why?!” she blurted, shocking the shit out of us.
“What?” “Why do we want you?” Miles and Josh asked. Her gaze locked with mine.
“You three… you could have anyone. Literally! Any strange woman off the street would chew her arm off for a ride on“—she stepped back and waved her hands at the three of us— “all that.”
“We don’t want some stranger, Elena.”
“No, instead, you want someone who is a walking hot mess? Tell me how that makes sense!” Jesus, I loved that attitude.
“You’re not a hot mess,” I argued. Her head snapped to me, giving me her attention.
“If I’m not literally the definition of a hot mess, Rick, I don’t know what I am!”
“Baby—"
“No.” She stepped back from us. “You want me for when? I mean—“ She blushed, and I shoved my hands into the front pockets of my pants to stop myself from pulling her back into my space. “The three of you want me?”
“We do,” Miles gently confirmed.
“How?” she asked cautiously.
“How?” His lips twitched, and I watched him move. Slowly. Like a predator stalking his prey. Wordlessly taunting it. Giving it the illusion that it was safe. That they weren’t a threat that was about to pounce and devour when that was exactly what he had in mind.
The moment Miles was within reaching distance, his steps quickened, and it snapped Elena into reacting. For every step she took back, Miles matched her with taking one forward. They didn’t stop until her back bumped into a wall. Miles used that to his advantage, caging Elena against it without pressing his body to hers.
“You really don’t know how we want you?” he rasped, leaning in closer. I couldn’t tear my eyes from them. I’d never seen Miles that way. His chest rose and fell like he couldn’t catch his breath, like if he spent a single second longer away from her, he’d combust. The sight was hot. I adjusted my aching cock. Miles ran his nose along hers. Both shared the same air, both breathing jaggedly. “Elena, you have to know.” His voice sounded like gravel.
“Miles,” she whispered.
“Any way you will let us have you. We will take any little scrap you want to give us,” he drawled. “We want to watch you with each of us. We want to have you together. We want to watch you fall apart over and over.” Her eyes dilated fully. Her breathing was off, like she had been running hard.
“You want all that?” she whispered, licking her lips, leaving them shiny. I knew firsthand how sweet that mouth tasted. How passionate and tempting it was. I had no idea how the hell Miles, as on edge as he was, had the self-control not to steal a kiss. To slam his mouth on hers without abandon like a man possessed.
I was man enough to admit I didn’t have that in me. I’d be weak and take her.
“Fuck,” Josh mumbled next to me.
“We want that and more,” Miles promised, brushing her nose with his one more time. Her lips parted, and mine tingled to feel her every exhale.
“You do?” She wasn’t hiding the vulnerability in her voice.
“Very. Much,” he enunciated slowly. Her big brown eyes hooded behind her glasses.
“How?” she whispered before she shook her head. “I mean, when? Where? Here?”
“That mean you want us, too?” Miles asked, his voice dropping an octave.
“For a night?” She ignored Miles’ question. Josh started to walk toward her, and she didn’t miss the movement. I joined him until we stood beside Miles, one on each side.
“That all you want?” Josh asked, cupping her face, the first of us to touch her that way. “One night?”
“What if… what if that’s all I can give you guys? I’m not sure…” Her eyes dropped. I stepped in, and Miles moved, giving me the space to do so. Not because I pushed him out of the way but because we were a team.
“Hey, look at me, gorgeous.” Her dark eyes rose, and I smiled at her. The tips of my fingers roamed up the line of her neck and to the side of her face. She leaned into my touch and shut her eyes for a moment. “We can take it one day at a time. Or two for now.”
“What?”
“The four of us have the next two days off.” I glanced at Josh, who took my place without me needing to say a word. She smiled at him.
“We want you to be our guest.” He handed her a card, and her brows bunched.
“Should I open it?” We nodded. Elena carefully opened the delicate envelope.
Her lips moved as she read the invitation to be our exclusive guest at Club Sin. A very exclusive sex club we were members to. One we had been to but hadn’t participated or engaged in any kind of activity since we decided Elena would be ours. A place where we had reserved a room for two nights, just in case she turned us down today and somehow, by some miracle, changed her mind tomorrow. Or if we were lucky enough for forty-eight hours of Elena time.
She glanced up at us with that pretty blush on her cheeks as her eyes touched each of us. “You guys want me to go with you here?” She lifted the card, and we nodded. “Don’t you need to submit something from me? Medical records or?—“
“We took care of everything,” Josh cut in. Miles and I nodded. It had crossed all sorts of lines, not just blurring them but very obviously crossing them. But we didn’t care. She was ours, damn it! We had used her test results from her yearly physical from the hospital’s system as well as confirmed she was on the pill.
Every nerve ending in my body was awake and chomping with anxiety. Would this be the moment she told us to go to hell? Will she turn us down? We were prepared for that. Ready for her to kick us out.
I was pretty sure the three of us almost expected that. And maybe that was why, when she looked at us and agreed, she shocked the hell out of us.
“Okay?” I rasped, and she nodded.
“Okay,” she repeated. I glanced at Josh and Miles. Both of them were as surprised as I was. “What time do we— or do we go now? I’m sorry. I’m not sure how—“ She was rambling. Miles gently closed in and grabbed her hand.
“A car will be here to pick you up in two hours,” he shared, and she inhaled deeply.
“Two hours,” she repeated, and I saw the hint of doubt in her gaze. It was clear she was overwhelmed.
“Unless you would prefer to ride with us. We figured you might feel safer and better about this… situation if you had a way to leave on your own,” Josh explained.
“The car would wait outside of the club, too. Just in case you change your mind at any point during our… time together,” Miles added. As much as I preferred her not to leave, it was important for her to have a way out and to feel comfortable.
I wanted all the time possible with her.
But at the end of the day, it was important to us that she felt safe, no matter what happened.
“It’s totally up to you,” Josh added, and she nodded.
“Umm…” She swallowed hard. Her thoughts were going a million miles an hour. “Okay,” she broke the silence, and I slowly started to relax again. “I’ll take the car,” she said, her decision clear in her tone before she stepped back.
“What…” She licked her lips. “What does someone wear to a place like this?” Her eyes dropped back to the invitation in her hand.
I took the card and handed it to Josh behind me before taking her in my arms. With my hands stroking the small of her back, she stared up at me, her hand resting over my heart. “Do you trust us?”
“Yes.” Her answer was immediate and solid.
“You really do, don’t you?” I felt so humbled by her.
“I do.” Her head tilted. I felt the two other men at my sides. My best friends. My partners. My family. “I wouldn’t let you in my house, much less near my kids, if I didn’t.” Fuck me . We’d all wanted the same thing for god only knew how long. But like Josh liked to remind us, timing was everything.
This was our time.
A knock sounded, and she looked up at us with wide eyes. “Who is––“
“Shhh.” Josh winked and stepped back to answer the door. I didn’t bother to look at what he was doing. I knew the plan. I heard his deep voice and someone else thank him before the door shut and Josh returned to his place, along with a big black box with a huge white bow on it and a matching bag in his hand.
“What is…” She looked at each of us, and I might have grabbed her hand, but she was the one who tangled her fingers with mine. I led her toward the couch and made her sit on my lap.
“We would love it if you wore what’s in here and in there.” I pointed at the box and bag Josh had set on the coffee table.
“What if it doesn’t fit?”
“It will,” Miles reassured her. Our girl’s eyes softened.
“You guys really want this? Tonight, with me?” Her eyes moved to each of us. There was a multitude of emotions behind her wire-rimmed glasses.
“There is no one else we could imagine spending time with,” I murmured, and Josh and Miles grunted in agreement.
“Okay,” she agreed, melting into me. Josh made a sound, and I knew it was time for us to go to make sure we had everything else set up now that we knew this was the ideal plan coming to life. I rose, lifting her up with me, and led us to the front door.
Before opening it, I cupped her face with both my hands and took in the sight for a moment. Her face, the look of awe and excitement painted on every one of her delicate features.
“Jesus Christ, you’re beautiful.” I sighed, stroking the apples of her cheeks with the pads of my thumb. I took her glasses off her face and handed them to one of the guys behind me. Elena’s eyes widened as she stared wide-eyed up at me.
“Just so we’re clear here, Elena. We are really fucking looking forward to tonight.” I leaned in and gave in to my urges.
Her lips touched mine. But unlike last time, when the kiss had turned into a wildfire, I managed by some miracle to rein it in. Keep it soft and sweet. But despite that, we were breathless by the time we parted. Josh took her in his own arms, lifting her up, forcing her to wrap her pretty legs around his waist.
“Never doubt how we feel about you and how much we want you,” he rasped and kissed her.
Deep and wet. I felt his animalistic groans at the base of my throbbing cock. Her little moan made me leak precum. When they ended the kiss, Josh handed her over to Miles, who carefully set her down and brushed the stray hairs out of her face.
“This can be a night or more. No matter what, just because it’s three of us, you have to remember, you’re the one with the power here, beautiful. You’re the one in control, okay?” She nodded as her chest rose and fell.
If I wasn’t wrong, she was the one who stood to the tips of her toes before he leaned down and kissed her. There was no slow buildup to it. Not that I blamed Miles. Fuck, I adjusted my dick at the sight, and when I glanced at Josh, he did the same.
He pulled away, and she leaned in and rested her head against the center of his chest. Her tiny hand clung to his shirt.
“Is this real?” she whispered. Miles pulled back and set her glasses back on her face. He stroked her hair for a moment.
“Want to pinch me to find out?”
“No.” She shook her head. “If it’s a dream, I don’t want to wake up,” she admitted, striking the match of eternal hope to my stupid heart. This was so much more than any of us dared pray for.
Elena was a tough girl.
She had to be.
She carried a world of worries on her delicate shoulders, day in and day out. A shit ton of responsibilities no one should ever have to carry alone. But there she was. Doing it and thriving. With a grace that was astounding.
She called herself a hot mess, but all Josh, Miles, and I saw was the fucking miracle she was.
She never let herself be vulnerable. But with us, standing in her living room, after the three of us finally kissed her together, we saw it. The sweet, tender, honey-soft middle she hid from everyone in order to protect herself from getting hurt.
It wasn’t easy for us to walk out after that.
To leave so much to chance.
After all, we weren’t stupid. We knew she could easily change her mind or talk herself out of going. But with the promise of an incredible night clinging to the air, I had the kind of hope running through my veins I didn’t know existed outside of fairytales.
And fuck me, if she took a chance on us, we were going to make sure she never regretted it.
