Nicholas
After dinner with Haruko’s father, we went to mine and Parker’s house. We cuddled in our bed, everyone pretty fucking happy about how it went. I could tell Simon wasn’t one-hundred percent accepting of the situation, understandable of course. But the conversations that came after—like talking about the Vancouver Timberwolves, a hockey team all five of us support and talking about the trip Simon and his wife are taking—they all felt like a sign of the future. We can talk about everything but our love lives. The topic of our relationship didn’t come up again. It felt like Simon was doing it on purpose. Driving the conversation most of the time away from things that revolve around “us.” Despite the switch being obvious, it didn’t make the night awkward, which is great.
This night went so much better than it did in my head.
I wake up the next morning with Haruko cuddled by my side, Parker spooning her and Elijah at the foot of the bed, his arm wrapped around her feet over the covers. The sleeping situation is something we need to talk about during our meeting. I look at the clock. I read six a.m. Because of the meeting, we kept the rest of our schedule light. Which means we can take our time going to work.
Haruko wakes, gently rubbing her eyes, then looks at me.
“What time is it?” she asks, her voice hoarse.
“Six,” I say and kiss her on the top of her head.
She groans into my chest. “Too early.”
I chuckle. “I’m usually downstairs with a cup of coffee by now.”
She nods her head and sinks further into the duvet. She wraps her arm tight around my body and I feel Parker cuddle closer to her, his hand on her stomach, brushing my side.
“We have that meeting today,” I remind her. She peeks up from underneath the covers.
“Didn’t we kind of have it already?” she asks. “I’m quitting and hopefully getting a job at my dad’s place.”
“Yeah, we have that, but there’s so much more we need to talk about.”
She huffs, then wiggles out of mine and Parker’s grasp, but we don’t let go so easily.
“I have to get ready,” she says, chuckling softly.
“No. Five more minutes. Like you said. It’s early,” I say.
“Yeah, early,” Parker chimes in.
“Five minutes to give our baby girl a proper morning wakeup,” Elijah says, sitting up on his forearms, his hair messy with sleep.
Haruko nods her head to the side, then with a sigh lies back down. “Well, come and get me, boys.”
There’s a lot of laughter as we all pile onto her, kissing her everywhere. Then things get breathy as we touch her breasts and between her legs. It took more than five minutes, but was totally worth it.
We’re all wearing a giant smile on our faces as we get to the office. Haruko took her own car while the three of us piled into Elijah’s. She’s still technically our employee, so Haruko didn’t want to arrive with us.
Haruko’s quick when she gets to the office. I find her resignation letter on my desk after getting water from the break room. I get giddy seeing it. Not the usual reaction to a letter like this, but appropriate considering what this means. We’ve also listed our relationship into the HR records. We don’t want anything to tarnish Haruko’s reputation. So once this letter gets taken care of, she can be ours without violating the rules.
Parker comes into my office, grinning from ear to ear.
“I hear we need to find a new assistant,” he says.
“Yeah, I’ll get Trudy from HR to start compiling a list.”
“Great.” He rounds my desk and gives me a kiss. He tastes like mint and coffee. My favourite taste. Along with Haruko’s pussy, of course.
“You ready?” he asks, pulling back.
“For the meeting? Absolutely.”
We head to Elijah’s office. Haruko’s already there. Elijah’s space looks brighter with her there and it’s nice to see.
I close the door and take a seat next to Haruko. Parker takes the chair on the other side of her and we start the meeting.
“I want to start with something that I feel is obvious, but still need to make clear,” Elijah says.
“Okay,” Haruko says. “What is it?”
“We love you, Haruko,” he says.
“Yeah?” Haruko smiles and looks at all of us.
Parker and I nod. “Yeah, Haruko.” I take her hand. “We love you so fucking much. That’s the most important thing we want you to know.”
“We were going to tell you last night after dinner, but I think we were all pretty tired. Relieved but tired. We wanted to tell you how we feel not on a whim or because of the emotional night, but when we’re all rested and sober,” Parker adds.
“That’s nice. Thank you. It just came out of me. I wanted it to be a special moment between just the four of us, but given the situation, I couldn’t help it.”
“No need to feel disappointed about how it happened, Haruko. Last night was special to us,” Elijahs says. “Being there for you and working this out together with your dad. We didn’t get into details, but we got the big thing out of the way and Simon isn’t mad and still loves you. That was pretty special considering if he were any other person, he may have reacted in a completely different… and angry way.”
“True,” Haruko says. “Have you talked with him?” she asks Elijah.
“Yeah. I called him this morning to make sure everything was okay and we’re good. Truly. He knew he tried to talk about literally anything other than our relationship, but that’s because he needs time to process it. He’s not mad or upset. He loves you and told me to ask if you could go over to your parents' place tonight to tell your mom.”
Haruko nods. We talk about things like where Haruko will sleep at night, when are we going to go on our first date and how close are we to moving in together.
“Hold your horses there, boys,” Haruko says. “We just started this like this week.”
“Yeah.” Parker shrugs. “But we’ve known each other for two years. Most people ask the love of their life for their hand in marriage at this point. If anything, we’re going slow.”
Haruko laughs and nods her head. “Point taken, but I want to make sure we’re doing this right. So, sleepovers, yes. I’ll have some of my clothes at your place and Elijahs and our first date as a foursome will be this Friday at eight.”
“Sounds good. Now,” I say, leaning over my chair, pinching Haruko’s chin and bringing her gaze to me. “What do you say we make you officially ours?”
