Chapter Fourteen
Sandy
Our make-out session was interrupted by the clearing of a throat as a couple walked by on the way to the parking lot. I wanted to dismember the dude, but maybe it would be better if we took it home.
It was a nice evening, low eighties. “How about we go home and take a swim?” Skyler’s unexpected request put all kinds of naughty ideas in my head.
“Swimwear optional ?” I cocked an eyebrow at him.
“Your call. You own the pool.”
Releasing my hold on him, I led him around the building to the parking lot and over to the SUV. I opened his door, and once he was inside, I went around and got in myself. There was one thing I wanted to know. “Was this a date?”
“A-A date?” His voice was breathy, which made my cock flex against the zipper of my shorts.
I smirked, though he couldn’t see it because the cab of the SUV was dark. “Well, you paid for dinner. I’m just trying to figure out what you want from me. I don’t usually put out on the first date—”
“Oh gosh, I’d never expect you to… I didn’t mean to make you think…” His voice trailed off, and I was sure if I flipped on the overhead light, he’d be glowing.
“You didn’t let me finish. I was going to say, ‘Unless I know for sure there will be a second date.’”
“A second date? You’d go out with me again?” Skyler sounded surprised.
I pulled out of the parking lot and stopped at the curb because there was a jackass behind me with his brights on. “Was this a date?”
Skyler turned toward me. “I’d like it to be.”
“Are you going to ask me out again?” Now I was just needling him.
He started to nod, but then he chuckled. “Actually, you asked me out, and it was a pretty lame way to do it.”
I grinned. “You’re right. Let me try again. Skyler, would you go out with me tomorrow night?”
“Uh, I’ll need to check my schedule.” He cracked up, and I did too. Once we stopped laughing, he took my hand. “Yes, Sandy. I’d love to go out with you tomorrow night. It could be late. We have another rehearsal tomorrow. By the way, I’ve looked at all your cars in the garage, and I’m not driving any of them.”
I got it. They were expensive cars, and really, why did I have them in the first place? To prove how much of a man I was? How successful I was? If that was how I estimated my own worth, I needed a shrink.
“Would you drive this?” I asked, tapping the steering wheel.
“It’s kinda big. Much bigger than my little SUV in West Peoria.” It was a large GMC SUV, but I hauled things…sometimes.
“Let’s trade places, and you drive us home to get a feel for it. It’s not larger than the Suburban you’ve been driving.” I stepped out and walked around the Yukon to open his door. Skyler stepped out, and after a quick kiss, I got inside, and he closed my door, jogging around the vehicle and getting in behind the wheel.
He buckled in, as did I, and we were on our way. He was a careful driver, which I had expected, and was respectful of my Yukon. That told me a lot about him, and if I wasn’t coming to want more from him than friendship, I could fall for the guy in a heartbeat after seeing the care he took with my vehicle. That thinking was a bit of a shock to my system.
“Do you want to get up and run with me in the morning?” I needed plans to get my mind off the realization settling into my thick skull. For once in my life, I wanted more with a guy than just a quick fuck.
Skyler glanced out of the corner of his eye before he grinned. “Yes, and can you help me work on my core? My back is going to kill me tomorrow, as will my arms.”
“I got just the thing.”
Instead of the pool, we’d sit in the hot tub, and I’d give him some mild pain relievers and a rubdown before he went to sleep. I was looking forward to it.
Once we got home, he parked in the garage, and we got out, heading toward the house. I stopped on the pool deck and set the temp for the hot tub and the jets. We went into the basement, and I undressed, draping my clothes over the Peloton in the gym.
Skyler was stuck to the spot by the treadmill, watching me. “Get your clothes off, teach.”
I was down to my tan boxer briefs as he reached behind him and grabbed the back of his black T-shirt, pulling it over his head and tossing it on the floor. He toed off his sneakers and then slid down his jeans before he pulled off his socks. He wore red bikini briefs that made me want to bite my fist.
“Those… Those are nice. I didn’t figure you for a bikini man.” There was no hiding the boner in my own drawers.
I sighed. Trying to meet the man’s eyes was nearly impossible. “Let’s go.” I opened the back door and grabbed a few towels from the bin on the pool deck. I pulled up the app on my phone and turned on some of the lights so we could see, and then I took his hand and led him across the patio to the spa, which was bubbling away.
Now, we were at a crossroads. To go au naturel or respect his modesty and keep the underwear on.
Fuck it.
I slid my thumbs inside the waistband of my underwear and stared at him. “Speak now or forever hold your peace.”
Surprisingly, Skyler nodded really quick and mirrored my actions, sliding his thumbs between the fabric and his bare flesh. “One. Two. Three.” We pushed our underwear to our ankles, and right there in front of me was his gorgeous cock.
“Uncut, huh?”
“In case you couldn’t tell, Mom’s a firm believer in keeping everything one was born with.” And right there was the hood I couldn’t wait to explore.
“Wow!” I followed his line of sight to see he was staring at my erect prick. He licked his lips. I stepped closer to him and put my palms on his cheeks—the ones up top. I’d get to the ones below in good time.
“You wanna have a sword fight?” It was an incredibly stupid joke, but honestly, I wasn’t sure what to say. I was a bit tongue-tied at seeing the beautiful uncut cock between his legs. I was even more excited to see he kept a tidy hedge.
I’d started shaving my junk years ago to keep things cooler when I wore a cup on the field, and I’d kept up the practice even after I was out of football. The maintenance was quick since I’d been consistent all those years. Besides, I read somewhere that a clean slate made Sandy Junior look bigger.
“As tempting as that invitation is, I don’t think I could put up much of a defense.”
I stared at his face to see traces of pain, so I ignored my eager cock and stepped out of my underwear before I bent down to relieve him of his. The head of his dick brushed across my cheek, and we both moaned at the contact.
Once he stepped out of his briefs, I took his hand and led him up the two steps to the spa beside the large, curved swimming pool. I got in first and helped him down the steps before I started the jets to massage his aching body.
Mine was aching too, but for far different reasons.
He sat on the bench, and I noticed his face was bright red. “Too hot?” The temperature in the spa was only ninety-eight degrees. The evening was in the low eighties, so I thought the water felt good.
“No, uh, seeing my penis bob in the water with you sitting across from me is a bit daunting.”
I shook my hand to fling water, grabbed my phone, and dimmed the lights in the spa. “How’s that?”
Skyler grinned. “Better.” He tilted his head back and studied the sky, so I moved around and sat closer—not enough to make him nervous, I hoped.
“You know, I didn’t like you at first. My brother told me nothing about you, so I thought you were another spoiled rock star’s kid. When he shoved you into my home, I wanted to beat his ass.” I put my arm on the spa ledge behind Skyler’s head—not touching him but wanting to.
He turned to stare at me. “You didn’t like me? I mean, I’m not one of those people who thinks everyone must like them, but what did I do that made you not like me?”
I grinned and kissed his temple. “Not a damn thing. I thought you were hot immediately. I also thought you were like the stars’ kids you read about in the gossip pages. I didn’t want to get to know you because I assumed you’d be more trouble than you were worth.”
Honesty was the best policy, right? I didn’t mean to upset him, but I thought laying it all out there might be the best thing. Was I an idiot? Probably.
Skyler turned his body toward me. “You thought I would be… You judged me before you met me ?” His voice pitched an octave higher, and I wanted to kiss him.
“It’s my character flaw to prejudge people. I’ve been screwed over by a lot of people during my life, so I try to judge who’s going to try to fuck me over before they get the chance. I apologize for it, but I’m thrilled I completely missed the mark on you.” It was the god’s truth.
His handsome face turned up to me, and I met his mouth with mine. The kiss started soft, just a gentle brush of flesh, but before I could take a breath, Skyler climbed into my lap and slid his tongue between my lips. My tongue didn’t hesitate to come out to play.
I pulled back but didn’t let him move. “I was wronger than wrong.”
Skyler chuckled as he wrapped his arms around my neck. “Wronger, huh?”
“I’m a master of language. You can use that word if you’d like.” We both laughed at my stupidity.
“I’m sorry if I wasn’t friendly when we met. I damn well wasn’t ready for someone like you to come into my life. Hell, I’m not sure if I am now, but we don’t have to do more than blow off a little steam if that’s all you want.”
Hell, what was I saying? I’d just told myself I wanted more than that, but Skyler was leaving…eventually. Where would I be after that?
Skyler attached himself to my lips again, and I got lost in the kiss. I wanted to do so many things for him…to him…with him…but we had a bit of ground to travel, and part of that ground was— What the hell would a future for us look like?
When his hard cock grazed mine as he floated over me, I wanted to grab him and pull our cocks together in my hand and stroke us to climax…but I didn’t.
“Sit on the bench and let the jets work their magic. They really do help ease the aches if you relax.” I wasn’t lying because when I woke up achy and stiff, I’d sit in the spa for a while and feel much better when I got out. Truth be told, I could make him relax with a few licks—and I really wanted to.
I helped Skyler settle on the bench with his back to a jet. Once he was, I turned on some quiet background music on my phone.
“You didn’t tell me what you thought of me when you saw me at the airport.” Maybe I was asking him to say he was impressed. What if he wasn’t?
Skyler stared at me for a minute before he smiled. “You didn’t appear happy about being there, but I thought you were handsome. Honestly, I couldn’t remember seeing anyone nearly as handsome.”
“You’re full of shit, but I’ll take it as a compliment. You date much in West Peoria?”
“My number is four if that’s what you’re aiming to find out. Based on your pictures on the internet with those beautiful women, you’ve probably lost count.” We both chuckled.
“Never had sex with any of them. I searched for guys to hook up with when we were on road trips because it was less likely I’d be recognized. It worked until the one time when shit went to hell.” That was a fucked-up night I tried not to think about.
“What happened that night?”
It was the question I dreaded the most of anything anyone could ask me. As I stared at him, I decided it was better to get it out there, so I told him the sad story that made me sound utterly desperate and pathetic.
“And you got kicked out of football because of it? That’s terrible. You didn’t even get to—well, you know. Anyone since?”
I sighed. I’ve thought about trying to meet someone for more than a night, but I always ask myself if the person I’m speaking with is worth losing everything all over again. The answer has always been no.”
Until now…
