CHAPTER NINE

By the time the guys returned with the film, it was nearly midnight. They’d searched the property once again for any signs or clues that someone had been there. But no luck. Ivy promised to get to the film first thing in the morning after giving it time to cool down and, hopefully, dry out any moisture adhered to the film.

When Nell and Sor stepped into the cottage, he felt a sense of relief and peace, knowing that they were both safe and sound. He started the fire, hoping to keep the cool fall wind from bringing a chill to the home.

“Are you thirsty? Hungry?” he asked.

“I could use something hot. Tea or hot chocolate?”

“I’ve got both,” he smiled. “I’m a fan of chocolate before bed, so why don’t we do that.” She nodded, smiling at him as he set the small saucepan on the stove, pouring heavy cream, milk, and pieces of chocolate in the pan.

“Wow. You don’t mess around. Only the real thing for you,” she smiled.

“Oh, this was one of my few luxuries in the service. I didn’t want that dried powder crap. I wanted the stuff my mom used to make for me.”

“Is she still alive?”

“No,” he said with a sad smile. “My folks died within a few months of each other. Probably the way it should be, I guess. Mom went first. It was a total shock. She had a massive stroke and slipped into a coma.”

“I’m so sorry,” frowned Nell.

“Dad went a few months later. They said natural causes, but he was only sixty-five. That’s not old to me.”

“No, it’s not. My folks both passed suddenly as well. I have great memories of my mother doing special things for me. I want to do those things with my children.” He turned, leaning against the counter, both hands gripping the edge.

“And do you want children?”

“Oh, yes,” she blushed. “I’d like four or five. I want them to have one another to rely on, play with, support each other. I know they’ll fight and get mad as well. But no one protects you like a brother or sister. What about you?”

“Four or five,” he grinned. “I’ve always wanted four or five.”

They were quiet for a long moment, and then Sor turned back to the pan, slowly pouring the chocolate into cups for them. He sat beside her on the sofa, pulling the soft blanket up around her hips as she leaned into him.

“This couldn’t be any more perfect,” he said softly.

“It could.” He frowned, looking down at her.

“Tell me how. I’ll do whatever you need me to do.”

“Let’s take these mugs into the bedroom and enjoy them in bed. Naked. After we make love.”

Sor stood, holding out his hand, and walked slowly down the hallway with her. He set the thermal mugs on the bedside table and pulled his sweatshirt over his head. When he turned, she was already naked, kneeling on the mattress.

“God, you’re so fucking beautiful,” he said in a raspy voice.

“I’ve dreamed of this. You and me, alone, naked. I’ve dreamed of what you would look like. We waited so long to get here.”

“No more waiting, baby.”

Sor pushed his jeans to the floor, standing to reveal his beautiful nakedness and desire. Nell sucked in a slow breath at the beauty before her. Never in her life had she seen a man as beautiful, but this man was beyond beauty. He was like a stone sculpture, hard and defined. A fine veil of hair trailed from the center of his chest to his long, beautiful cock.

Kneeling before her, their knees touching, he gently brought his hands to her shoulders, then slid them down and around her perfect breasts. Nell’s nipples reacted immediately, hardening at his touch.

“Your hands feel so good,” she whispered.

“Touch me,” he growled. She extended her hand, gently taking him, stroking him with her fingers. He could smell her sex and nearly slammed her to the mattress.

“Sor. Mark, I need you inside me. I need to feel you. I’m not on any birth control. I got off it after my divorce.”

“As far as I’m concerned, you don’t need any, and neither do I,” he said, laying her against the pillows. “We’re going to make love until we fall asleep, and with any luck, we’re going to make a baby.”

She smiled up at him, spreading her legs wide, wrapping them around his body as the tip of his cock touched her opening. She knew he was going to stretch her, fill her completely, and he didn’t disappoint.

Sor was a man. A full-grown, over-developed, beautifully sculpted man. And he was hers. Just when she thought they were both sated, he would maneuver her body in a different direction and surprise her by making her cum again and again.

Not surprisingly, the hot chocolate got cold. The cold sheets got hot. And when the sun rose the next morning, Sor and Nell knew that their lives were forever intertwined.

“I think we made a baby last night,” she grinned.

“Then you’re going to have to marry me,” he said with a serious expression. Nell said nothing, just staring into his eyes.

“Ask me.”

“Marry me? Please.”

“Yes.”

“Just like that,” he smiled.

“Just like that. The girls explained something to me. They said love is so very hard to find, that when you do, recognize it as the gift it is. You should hold it gently. Don’t squeeze too hard, but don’t let it go. These men are different in every way. Their lives have been entirely about protecting others, with no thought as to who would protect them. Expect that they’ll be overbearing, alpha in every way. But recognize how unbelievably special that is and that they’ve chosen us to be by their sides. He will protect you, but you will protect him as well. He will drive you mad with his overprotection, but he will soothe you with his love and adoration of you. And there is nothing like the love of one of these men.”

“They said that, did they?” he smirked.

“Yep. And you know what? They were right. I love you, Sor. I think I’ve loved you from the moment I met you. I hope our son or daughter turns out just like you.”

“We’re going to have lots of both, baby. Boys and girls running around our feet.” He heard the buzz of his phone and stared at the screen. “We have to meet the others for breakfast and then see what was on that film.”

“Then maybe we should shower first,” she smiled, walking seductively to the bathroom. “I think I want to be sure I have a son or daughter growing inside me.”

Sor laughed, shaking his head as he followed.

“I’m going to guarantee that you do.”
