Chapter Thirteen

Rok

My female was rocking my world off its axis. There was no way to describe what was happening to me as we pressed our mouths together.

I’d watched Dristan do it with his female and I’d known right away that I’d be replicating the move with mine. But this . This was ecstasy.

This closeness, this intimacy. It was everything that I’d ever wanted to happen between us and she’d capitulated with ease.

If my female wanted, she’d only had to stand firm and deny me for a few more moments. I would have given in to her sweet demands. I knew that much about myself. I would have returned the tiny keepsake to her, whatever it was.

But she wanted me as well. I felt it with my whole body. Her scent was flooded with lust every time we so much as brushed up against each other.

I didn’t understand the mating rituals of this new land, but I’d figure them out and ensure that I followed every single one for her. This touching of mouths, though. This was something that I wanted to keep doing.

And I need more .

I tugged my female closer, lifting her with ease so that she fit against me, her body crushed close, her luscious breasts against my chest.

Yes, Becca. Yes.

Her lips parted against mine, sucking my lower lip between hers, and my cock throbbed so hard I thought I would come right there. Intrigued with this ritual, I did the same with hers, sucking her lips between mine.

Her little tongue slipped out and I groaned as it brushed against mine.

She’s going to be the death of me.

Moving my tongue against hers, I was hesitant at first. She gasped against my mouth, her little body shivering.

I’m doing it right. My female is so aroused it wouldn’t take much to make her come.

The thought sent another jolt through me. I wanted that. I wanted to bring her so much pleasure that all she could think about was what I could do to her body.

If I needed to win her with orgasms before I won her heart, I would do it. As she mewled against my mouth, cradling my face with her little hands, the urge to taste her skin was unbearable. I tugged our lips free, sliding my lips down her cheek.

I swiped my tongue against her neck and the sound that escaped her lips was one of pure pleasure. My hips thrust forward of their own volition, rubbing against my female’s soft stomach. Everything on her was so soft. The opposite of everything I was used to.

She was my solace. The softness that I’d always needed but had never been able to find. She was made for me. Perfect in every way.

Her scent was flooding my senses, making me drunk with her arousal. Her body was readying itself for me and I dipped my lips further, running my tusk against her skin, marking her in the ancient way of my people.

When it was time, I’d bite into the skin of her neck with my fangs, and every male would know that she belonged to me. I bared my fangs at the thought, grazing the delicate skin of her throat so that the lightest mark would appear there. Nothing like a true mating mark, but enough to let other males know that she was being courted and was receptive to me.

A satisfied harrumph left my throat at that thought and my female arched at the tiny sting. She whimpered , driving me crazy, but I recited my lineage in the hope that I could hold back my rut.

Rok son of Grun and Malbar, Grun son of Jarl and Paran, Jarl son of…

My female wrapped a leg around mine, jarring me from my attempts to stay sane in her presence. When I realized what she was doing, her sweet pussy pressed against my thigh, victory filled me.

I had her pinned to the door in an instant. I was going to make her come and I was going to do it now .

The low chuckle of a male orc from behind me was the last thing I wanted to hear. With a feral growl, I spun around, blocking my precious mate from the threat.

“Don’t mind me,” the male who resembled Dristan raised his hands in a passive stance that had me releasing the strangle-hold I’d had on my axe. “I’m Dristan’s brother, Rudgar. I just wanted to make sure you had everything you needed.”

“She’s all I need,” I growled, narrowing my eyes at him and he nodded.

The wistful expression on his face would have been enough for me to attack him, but it wasn’t aimed in my Becca’s direction. No, it was turned inward. It was an expression I knew well. It said everything that I had felt for years.

This male is longing for his mate.

“She will come,” I told him in a gruff voice, and his eyes widened. “I didn’t think I’d ever find my female, but it turned out I just had to wait for her to summon me to this plane. Even when you have no hope left, don’t give up.”

A small smile curled the male’s lips and he gave a solemn nod. “Thanks for that,” he murmured and I nodded.

“Dristan asked me to bring you some things to tide you over until we could take you to buy more,” he said, holding out a satchel—but I had no idea how it was tied. It looked like it was held together by metal fastenings.

Eyebrows raised, I took it from him, knowing I’d have to rip it open in order to use it. How wasteful.

“I have gold,” I told him, tipping my chin up with pride. “I can contribute to our clan.”

“Our clan,” the male said with a grin. “That sounds about right. We seem to be growing in numbers.”

“The bigger the clan, the better,” I told him with a firm nod. “Soon my female and I will have our first young and it will grow even more.”

The male’s eyebrows swept all the way up and he gave a little laugh. “Having met your female, I wish you the best of luck with your plan,” he said.

My lip curled in a sneer. How well did he know my female? I would never fault her for any partner she’d had in the past, but if he thought he would have access to her anymore—

“Not like that,” Rudgar assured me, shrugging his shoulders. “We’re just friends. Two mateless clan members before she met you.”

I felt my muscles loosening as my female pressed against me, peeking out at the male. She spoke to him in that nonsensical language of hers and I yearned to be able to speak it as he responded in kind.

“Becca wants me to know that what I saw wasn’t what it looked like,” he told me with a mischievous smirk. “But I’m pretty sure I was about to witness a claiming.”

I grunted, not willing to offend my female by agreeing. I didn’t understand the sexual customs of this plane and if I’d gone too far, I’d face the consequences. Still, she was pressed against me, her heated face against the skin of my back, so it couldn’t have been too bad.

“Do I give the gold to you or to Dristan?” I asked, reaching into my satchel to grab my gold-pouch. I held my hand out, pouring the gold into my palm.

The male shook his head for a second before his eyes narrowed and then widened on the gold.

“T-that’s dragon’s gold ,” he hissed, moving closer in quick strides, peering down at the pile of gold.

My chin lifted with pride. “Of course. And I have more of it in my cave.”

His jaw dropped as he shook his head, stepping back and raising his hands. “I’m not good with gold the way my brother is, so I’ll save the conversion for him, but even one piece of that is going to be worth at least a million dollars,” he said with awe.

I had no idea what a dollar was, but if it was the currency of this plane, that had to bode well for what I could provide my female. I turned to her with a grin, and she blinked up at me before returning a tremulous smile.

“I’d like to keep some to gift to my female as part of her dowry,” I told Rudgar, not taking my eyes off of her.

“Good luck with that,” he snorted. “Females from here might not be as accepting of the old ways as you’d hope.”

“She will be,” I told him, hope filling my chest at the thought of her accepting the dowry and then accepting me. “And I’ll offer it to her and give the rest to Dristan.”

“I’ll let Dristan explain to you how clans work here,” Rudgar told me, amusement clear in his voice. “But it seems like you’ve forgotten that I’m here. Go inside with your female. Get acquainted with the amenities and if you need anything, say my name to her and she’ll know to call me.”

I nodded, giving this male my back as a sign of trust and respect. It helped that I could now admire my female in all her aroused splendor. Her cheeks were flushed, her scent was as lusty as ever and her hand was held out with a firm demand.

I grinned as I gave her five of the gold pieces. Her eyes went wide and her lips parted. She babbled words in her language, shoving them back toward me, but I returned the rest of the coins to the pouch and then safely back into the satchel so I could give them to Dristan later.

If I could, I would gift them all to her. Each and every piece had been hard-won—fighting dragons for their hoard was seen as a death sentence for most orcs—but she deserved every single one.

Plus, my inner voice told me as I puffed out my chest, you’re not most orcs.
