Nola
I stand at the edge of the cosmos, stars swirling around me like fireflies on a summer night. The universe whispers its secrets, and I listen, as I always have. But tonight, there's a different energy in the air, a sense of anticipation that makes even the eternal expanse of space seem to hold its breath.
"Caspian," I call out, my voice carrying across the void. He materializes beside me, his form shimmering with the light of distant galaxies.
"You've been busy, Nola," he says, a hint of amusement in his tone.
I nod, a small smile playing on my lips. "The invitation has been sent. Sage will receive hers from Evelyn, her mentor and friend. With Evelyn's guidance, Sage will find her way to Mount Washington, drawn by the promise of Moonflower Nectar. The Halloween tourists flooding Salem provide the perfect cover for her departure."
Caspian's eyes sparkle with interest. "Impressive. You've woven the threads of fate with your usual finesse. But what of the other half of this equation? The fated mate?"
"Ah, Finn," I say, my gaze drifting to a particularly bright star. "He's en route to the motorcycle rally in Jackson. The shadows of Mount Washington will offer him sanctuary, a place to hide and heal."
"Is that enough?" Caspian asks, his brow furrowing slightly. "Will the connection be strong enough to ensure their paths cross?"
I turn to face him fully, the cosmos swirling in my eyes. "We shall see, my friend. The tapestry of fate is complex, and even we cannot predict every twist and turn. But I have faith in the power of their bond, dormant though it may be."
Caspian nods, understanding the delicate balance we must maintain. "And what of the dangers that lurk? Damien still pursues Sage, and those who seek the artifact haven't given up their hunt for Finn."
"They will push our fated pair together, forcing them to confront their fears and their feelings. Sometimes, a little danger is necessary to ignite the spark of destiny."
