Abby
The entire ride back to Portland, I’m practically squirming in my seat, needing to press my thighs together to stop the tingling in my core.
The car stops at a red light. Kade unclips my seatbelt and pulls me to him. “Kiss me, bright eyes.”
I tangle my fingers in his hair, drinking from his mouth. Horns start to honk as we realize the light has turned green.
“Oops,” I giggle, putting my seatbelt back on.
“God, what you do to me, Abby.” He strokes the side of my face. “You’re a breath of fresh air, baby. A sweet, sweet breath of fresh air.”
We pull into the underground parking garage of his high-rise, and I honestly don’t know if I’m going to be able to keep my hands to myself in the elevator. Then I think of all the women he’s been with, all the beautiful, gorgeous women, and my desire starts to fade.
I can’t compete with that.
“Hey,” he brushes his thumb across my bottom lip. “Stay with me, Abby. Whatever is going on in that head of yours, let it go.”
“How do you do that?” I breathe.
“You matter, baby. You matter a helluva lot.” He parks the car, jumps out, and runs around to my side to open my door. I step out, and he pins me to the car with his hips. “Did I tell you how beautiful you look today, bright eyes?” His hand slides around the back of my neck. “I love what you’re wearing.”
“It’s a T-shirt and jeans, silly.”
“And on you, it’s better than lingerie.”
He kisses me, and I moan into his mouth. “Kade…”
“Keep saying my name like that, and we aren’t going to make it upstairs, bright eyes.”
“Babe, then we’d better hurry.” I nip at his lip. “Kade,” I say playfully
He scoops me into his arms, dashing towards the elevator, causing me to giggle in surprise. The elevator slides open, and he sets me down inside. As soon as the doors close behind us, he kisses me hard and deep.
My hands roam across his wide chest, “I’ve never wanted a man the way I want you.”
“Is that so?” He nuzzles my neck, his breath warm against my skin.
“It’s the truth.” I lean back, searching his eyes. “You mean a lot to me, Kade.”
A tremor of panic courses through me as I give him my truth, but I refuse to let my fear ruin this moment. I’m determined to make every second count.
“You mean a lot to me, Abby.” He kisses my jaw. “And tonight, I will show you in every way possible.”
“Every way?” I murmur.
“Every way, baby.” His eyes shine down on me with blazing heat.
As soon as the elevator opens, he picks me up, wrapping my legs around his hips.
“You smell like a flower,” He inhales deeply. “And you taste like candy.” He drags his tongue up my neck, making me shiver. My head falls back, giving him free access to every part of me.
“So sexy,” he growls.
He carries me through the living room and down the hall to his room. He hits the light, setting me down on his bed. “Do you want to change your mind?” He kneels down in front of me.
“Absolutely not.” I cup his jaw, pulling his mouth to mine. “I want you in every way possible.”
“Undress.” He commands.
Totally turned on, I quickly remove my clothes while he undresses. I’ve never seen a man this gorgeous up close. His chest is magnificent. But then my eyes drift down to his sculpted six-pack, and my mouth starts to water.
“You’re a work of art.” I climb onto my knees to run my fingers along his hard body. “A gorgeous work of art.” I lick my way from his stomach to his nipples. “You taste like sin.”
Kade hisses when his erection brushes across my breasts. I lean back, wrap my hand around his massive shaft, and slide him into my mouth. I swirl my tongue around the crown, easing him slowly in until he hits the back of my throat. I look up. His gaze is hot and piercing.
My heart hammers as he reaches for my nipples, gently tweaking them with his thumbs. He slowly starts to rock his hips, my mouth gliding up and down his shaft, wet and warm. I hollow my cheeks. Instantly, I’m rewarded with a growl.
“That feels so good, baby.” He hisses. “But it’s my turn now.”
He nudges me back on the bed. “Spread your legs for me. I want to see you.”
Trembling, I ease my legs open.
“Good girl.” He slides a finger through my wet folds. Sweeping his fingers back and forth, he bends down, dragging his tongue along the insides of my thighs. “You like that, baby? Does that feel good?”
He slips a finger inside me, and I can’t speak. My hips fly up, granting him full access.
“My girl likes that.” He slides another finger inside.
Arching my back, I suck in a deep breath. “Kade…”
“Yes, she likes that.” He crooks a finger, hitting my sweet spot.
I gasp as my hips rock against his hand.
“Yes, baby girl.” He coos. “You want more, don’t you?”
I spread my legs wider. “Yes, Kade. Give it to me…” I’ve never talked like this before. It feels dirty. And it feels good.
Suddenly, I’m convulsing around his fingers, my hips thrashing wildly. “Kade…” I call out. He presses his mouth to my core, swirling his tongue gently against my sensitive flesh until the convulsing stops, and I collapse onto the bed.
He crawls up my body, pressing a soft kiss to my mouth. “Get ready, baby. It’s my turn now.”
Chapter Nine
Kade
Watching me with hooded eyes, Abby gives me a lazy smile. “I’m all yours.”
My heart doesn’t know what to do with that, but my body does. I flip her over to her stomach, hiking her up onto herhands and knees.
She tilts her hips back and spreads her legs wide, the wetness of her core glistening in the light. To keep from shattering into pieces, I ease my shaft into her, feeling her tight heat wrap around me like a glove.
I curl my hands around her hips, thrusting again. And again. And again.
“Deeper, Kade. God, please…deeper.”
“Like this?” I slide deeper.
“Yes,” she pants. “Exactly like that.”
She shudders around me as I sink deeper. I bring my chest to her back, stroking between her legs until I’m throbbing with need. “I’m close, baby.”
“Me, too.” She pants.
Her core clamps around me, and I pump hard, groaning together as we ride the wave of the best orgasm of my life.
I collapse on the bed beside her, roll her into my chest, and bury my face in her hair, breathing her in.
Because I have no words to tell herhow I feel, I cradle her in my arms until our breathing slows down.
“You okay?” I whisper.
“I’m perfect.” She sighs, nestling in close.
“That you are.” I kiss her temple.
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
“I do.” I give her a tight squeeze. “Best night of my life, bright eyes.”
“Mine too.” I reach over to turn off the lights.
Abby drapes the sheet over us, tucking herself close to my side. Just as I start to drift off to sleep, I feel the rapid beat of her heart against me.
“What’s on your mind, bright eyes?” I ask softly.
She shivers, burying her face against my shoulder. “It’s going to be hard to leave you.”
“Then don’t.” A warm rush spreads across my cheeks as I hold my breath, waiting for her response. I continue when silence stretches between us, my voice barely above a whisper. “I want you with me, always, Abby. I believe we have something real… a future together.”
“But this isn’t real,” she chokes out, her voice trembling.
“Baby, it is real. What I feel, what you feel—it’s as real as it gets. We have chemistry, Abby. We’re good together; we make each other stronger, wiser.” I hesitate, my heart racing, worrying she won’t believe me. “Stay with me, Abby. Give us a chance.”
“I want to, I really do,” her voice is barely a whisper. “But I’m scared, Kade. I’ve never been lucky in relationships.” She pauses. “And I think it’s because of me.”
I pull her onto my chest. “Baby, don’t be scared. I’ve got you.” I stroke her back. “And you need to know that the reason you’ve never been lucky in relationships is the same reason why I’ve never been lucky in relationships.”
“Why?” A tear rolls across my chest.
“Because we were waiting to find each other.”
She bursts into tears, her voice cracking when she’s finally able to speak. “That’s the sweetest thing anyone has ever said to me.”
Relieved that she hasn’t run away and that I still have a fighting chance to keep her, I hug her close. “Stay with me, bright eyes, and I promise to say something sweet to you every day of your life.”
“Every day?” she sniffles.
“Every day.”
“Okay, let’s try it.”
“You mean it?” I release the air trapped in my lungs. “You’ll stay?”
“I’ll stay.” She kisses me.
“Good.” I sweep my tongue into her mouth. “Now straddle my hips, baby. We’re going to celebrate.”
