Chapter Seventeen
MADISON
O ver the past few days, I have had the most spectacular sex I could ever imagine. Jonah is pure sin. I don’t know how he has so much stamina, but I love it. The man is insatiable. I came so many times I can’t keep up anymore. As soon as I walk through the door from work, he’s on me. The second we’re done with dinner in the dining hall, he’s dragging me back for more. I’m a little sore but I don’t care. My mind, body, and heart belong to this man. I don’t have the power to resist him, and I don’t want to.
Jonah’s sexual is appetite is so much different now. He never talked dirty during sex. I didn’t think something like that could be such a turn-on. His husky moans in my ear as he demands my orgasms is panty-dropping goodness.
After everything that happened with Thomas, sex was tainted in my eyes. It was a level of intimacy that was far from my mind. I had a few dates while traveling as a nurse. None went further than dinner. Knowing Thomas was a threat ruined any thoughts of going further. I’m not one to have a casual fling. Not saying there’s anything wrong with that, but it just isn’t for me.
Today is the club’s annual Halloween party. Cara told me not to worry about a costume. Apparently she, Sara, Sophia, and Bianca were going to dress alike. And now they want me to join in. I don’t know exactly what the costume is, but I don’t think it’ll be anything inappropriate.
Jonah let me know that after tonight there is a plan in motion for Thomas. He wouldn’t give me details. It’s so aggravating. I know this is technically club business but at the same time it’s my business. It’s me who has been living in hell because of Thomas. I don’t know how much longer he’s going to be a threat. I just hope it’s handled in time for me to make Ethan’s birthday. His birthday is the day after Thanksgiving this year. I don’t want to miss any more important moments in my family’s life. We’ve missed too much as it is.
Right now, we’re finishing up trick or treating with the kids. I was in disbelief when I saw Viper, Big Red, Blade, and Bear dressed in costumes matching their families. There were threats from the women that they’d go on a cooking strike when they tried refusing. I laughed so hard when Viper told me the backstory to the family costumes.
Sara’s family is dressed in matching Incredibles costumes. Since Bear is a very large guy and they don’t make those suits in his size, he’s only wearing the t-shirt and a mask. He got off easy compared to the other guys.
Big Red and his two kids took on the theme of Cat in the Hat . Cindy and Colt are Thing 1 and Thing 2. Big Red has on a cat suit with the big red hat. The guys got a good laugh when he came out of his house. He flipped off half the yard when the kids weren’t paying attention.
Bianca, Blade, and their three little girls are pirates. The girls are super cute with their eye patches and glittery swords. Blade threw a bit of a tantrum because Bianca wouldn’t allow him to carry an actual machete. He claimed it was a dishonor to his road name to have a plastic sword.
Cara, Viper, and the four little ones are dressed like characters from Mario and Friends . Viper and Cara have matching mustaches as Mario and Luigi. Liam is Bowser. Angel is dressed as Peach. Khai is wearing a Donkey Kong suit and little Chase has a green onesie on and Yoshi hat.
Never would I have thought that this rough group of men would dress up with their kids on Halloween. As much as they tried to act like they did it out of blackmail, I don’t buy it. I saw their smiles when the kids were overjoyed to take pictures and show them off to their friends from school. They would have done this without the threat of not having a home-cooked meal.
Liam comes crashing into me, breaking my thoughts. “Mad, look.” He holds up his candy bucket as he beams with joy. Picking him up, I put my head close to the bucket to look inside before popping back up.
“Whoa, that’s a lot of candy.” Liam nods as he struggles to get the wrapper off his candy. Jonah laughs from beside me before holding his hand out to Liam. He hands over the candy and Jonah makes quick work of getting the wrapper off.
“Tank you, Tor.” Liam stuffs the candy in his mouth quickly, like he’s afraid it’ll disappear. He does a little shuffle in my arms as he hums with approval.
“Thor! Did you give him another piece of candy?!” Cara shrieks from behind us.
“Busted. We gotta roll, little warrior.” Jonah plucks Liam from my arms and hightails it down the street. Cara is hot on their heels as the group laughs. By the time we make it back to the SUVs, most of the kids were dropping with sleep. That sugar high is coming down hard . They won’t take long falling asleep tonight.
When we get back to the compound, the kids are dropped off at Crystal and Paul’s house. Debbie and Will were there as well. Since it’s a full house, they’ll be spending the night to help.
“What are you dressing up as tonight?” I ask Jonah.
Snickers and snorts go around the group. I glance around to see everyone with amused expressions. “Thor isn’t allowed to dressed up on Halloween anymore,” Blade says.
“Why?” I ask bewildered. I don’t understand why he’s being singled out.
“Because when he was a prospect, he showed up as Thor and started a fuckin’ riot. Women were losing their minds thinking he was Chris Hemsworth. The press was lined up outside the gate, wanting to know what the club’s relationship with the actor was. It took me two hours to clear out the crowd,” Viper said as he frowned at Jonah.
I’m staring at Viper in shock before I throw my head back laughing. The way he described the incident sounds like he’s still traumatized. Turning to Jonah, I see the small smile on his lips.
“I always told you, you could be that man’s twin.”
“Ha ha, very funny. Maybe I should cut my hair,” he ponders.
“Don’t you dare!” I gasp. I love his hair. I’m sure Jonah would still be just as handsome with short hair, but I love running my fingers through his silky strands. Jonah smiles down at me and kisses me after promising not to cut his hair. When we make it to Cara’s house, the guys head back to the clubhouse so we can get dressed for the party. Apparently they don’t even know what the costumes are either. The girls said they wanted it to be a surprise.
I follow the girls inside and take a seat on the couch. “So, can you finally tell me what we’re going as?” I ask Cara.
“Not going to lie, you got me kind of nervous with all the secrecy,” Sophia says watching her sister skeptically.
“Trust me, you’re going to love it.” Cara disappears upstairs and comes back a few minutes later with a big box. Dropping the box on the coffee table, she cuts the tape off and opens it. I look around the group, glad to see I’m not the only one in shock.
“Yessss, sis!” Bianca cheers before snatching the outfit out of the box and dancing around the room.
The guys are definitely going to lose their minds.
