Chapter Five

Molly knew she should have told him to give her time to think about it. The logical side of her brain was screaming at her to do that. But there was no logic, no real thought in her mind. She didn’t know what the hell she was doing. All she knew was what she felt.

Like now, what she felt as Nate took the coffee from her hand and placed it on the coffee table. He moved in so close, her heart was racing, and she couldn’t deny there was also a pulse between her thighs. She wanted him so badly.

Instinct kicked in, and she quickly covered her mouth. Not to be difficult but so that he couldn’t smell her in case she had morning breath.

“I haven’t brushed my teeth,” she said.

“I don’t care.”

“My mouth might taste awful.”

Nate chuckled. “You know, when you’re writing about your book heroes about to make their woman’s heart sing, none of them are interrupted.”

“But this is real life, and you might not like the smell or taste of my breath, and then you will not be able—” In the back of her mind, she was pretty sure there was an angel and devil at work, and one of them was begging to be slapped or told to shut up. The moment she got started, it was like she couldn’t stop, and the never-ending pile of words just kept falling out.

There was no filter. No way of explaining anything.

And then it all stopped because Nate took control, and his mouth was now on hers. At first, she did feel a little panic. He was kissing her and she might have bad breath, but then she became aware of everything.

Her legs were slightly open, and he’d moved to settle between them. For the first time in her life, she was pretty sure she felt the hard ridge of his cock pressing against her.

She couldn’t form a sentence. That seemed to be completely out of her normal range of speaking ability. There was no sound, no words, nothing.

And then, she couldn’t help but moan as he moved, thrusting against her, and she was in no doubt about what was pressed against her core. Even though he wore jeans, there was no denying the stiffness of his cock. At the same time, he traced across her lips, and then Molly opened up, and he deepened the kiss.

She couldn’t think. All she could do was feel. Her body went into hyperdrive, or at least she felt like it did.

She was close to the edge of pleasure, unable to stop herself, which was what a lack of control felt like. All she could do was follow the path of pleasure, and she hoped it wouldn’t stop. It felt so good, she did not want it to stop.

Nate suddenly broke the kiss and she cried out as he trailed his lips down, heading toward the pulse at the side of her neck. She sunk her teeth into her bottom lip and tried to contain the pleasured sounds, but there was no escaping it.

He sucked at her neck, and she cried out, his name falling from her lips, echoing around the wall, and then she felt his hands. They went to her waist at first. Well, one of his hands was beside her head, and the other was at her waist, but it didn’t stay there. Slowly, he began to stroke down her side, going toward her hip, and then down her thigh.

Each touch seemed to send her higher and higher, and she couldn’t quite bring anything else into focus. Then, he began to move his hand around to the center, and he didn’t stop there. He moved up, sliding past the band on the leg of her shorts, and moving up. She wore shorts that were way too big. She always had. When it came to bedtime sleeping, she had to be comfortable, and these were comfortable.

Molly tried to contain the moan, but as his fingers got ever closer to her pussy, she couldn’t stop or control it, and a part of her didn’t want to. This was insane.

Part of her wondered if she was going to wake up and turn this incredible experience into a nightmare of a dream. She really didn’t want that to happen.

And then, as he touched a certain part of her, it was like it didn’t stop. His fingers danced across the fine hairs of her pussy, and then she felt him between her slit, touching her clit. She cried out.

Molly was no stranger to touching her body, exploring what she liked and didn’t, but this was different. She threw her head back and struggled to contain herself, but then she didn’t want to. Whatever magic Nate was wielding felt incredible.

“That’s it, baby, come for me,” he said.

It was almost too unreal, but Molly stared up into his incredible blue eyes, and it was like her body needed his command, because within seconds she came, and she did so crying out his name.

****

Molly looked incredible after her orgasm, but he also expected her to freak out, so when she scrambled off the sofa and ran to the stairs, he sat back, running fingers through his hair.

He’d not intended for it to go that far so quickly. He’d planned for dates, and for her to get accustomed to him, even used to him, but instead he’d not been able to control himself, and now she had run away from him. This wasn’t good.

Getting to his feet, he walked to her stairs and then took them two at a time. She no longer lived in the house where her parents used to live. He knew when she moved out, sold the place, a lot of the townsfolk weren’t happy about it. They didn’t like what she was doing, but when they saw the difference with her, that she was able to move on from her grief, everyone understood.

He’d known why she had done it, and hadn’t needed an explanation. It was Molly’s life and she was entitled to do whatever the hell she wanted.

None of them were at liberty to tell her what to do, and it kind of pissed him off that others felt like they had a say in her life. He stepped inside her bedroom, only to find the room empty, but then he saw her en-suite bathroom. He went to the door and tried the handle, but it was locked. There was no choice but to knock. All he wanted to do was make sure she was okay.

“Molly, come on, it’s me.”

“I know it’s you. I just … I need a minute.”

“Look, this isn’t good. I need to see you. I need to know you’re okay.”

“Can you not give me a minute?” she asked.

She sounded so cute when she was impatient.

“I’m not leaving and I’m not going anywhere.” He moved toward her bed and saw it wasn’t even made.

He’d woken her this morning, so he decided to make her bed for her. Not a lot of people knew this about him, but he liked to keep a clean ship. His house was clean, and his mechanic shop was clean. He worked with dirty cars and bikes all day, and he didn’t like to take that shit with him. Every single morning, before he even used the bathroom, he made his bed. It was a little win every morning, so after making her bed, he sat on the edge and waited, listening to her.

Nate wasn’t sure if he heard the shower or not. The sounds were so subtle, and he didn’t keep an eye on the time, but suddenly the door opened, and there Molly stood, in a skirt that went down to her ankles, as well as a white vest top. She’d left her long hair hanging down, and the brown locks looked so thick and luscious. Molly no longer looked like she had fallen out of bed.

“I thought I told you to wait downstairs?” Molly asked.

He leaned back. “No, you just asked me to give you a minute, and I did. You ran away after I gave you a pretty good orgasm, and you got dressed?”

She wasn’t wearing any makeup so he saw the blush staining her cheeks, and he loved it. Molly was so refreshing to be around. He smiled over at her as she glanced down.

“I have no idea what I’m doing.” She pressed her lips together, folded her arms beneath her chest, and then dropped them. “I don’t know what is going on, or how to do this. I … I don’t know what to do.”

Nate saw how confused she looked and he got to his feet and closed the distance between them. Molly didn’t pull away so he reached for her hands, holding onto them. “Calm down.”

“Why do you say that? All that makes me want to do is freak out, and now I hate that I’m talking this way.”

Nate smiled. He had never seen Molly lose control or look positively panicked, and he found it cute. Everything had gone the opposite way when it came to being with her. Nothing was working as he hoped it would. The truth was, when it came to Molly, he clearly couldn’t think straight.

“How about you and I date, spend time together, and then we see where this all goes, but you know I want you.” He pulled her close, pressing his lips against her neck. “I want to be with you every chance I get. I want to be the man you’re thinking about as you write your book heroes.”

He pulled away and stared into her eyes.

“What does this mean?” she asked.

“I think it means you and I are dating, and if anyone asks, that is exactly what we’re doing.” He pressed a kiss to her lips. He wanted to do a lot more, but he knew she was skittish and he wasn’t about to frighten her off. “Can I use your bathroom?”

“Yes. I’ll, uh, go and make us a proper breakfast.”

He watched her leave and then entered the bathroom. His cock was still rock-hard, but there would not be a chance to take care of it.

Being around Molly, he lost his mind, but it was all for a good reason. He stared at his reflection as he gripped the edge of the sink. He could do this.

“Get a grip,” he said.

Even though he didn’t want to take his time, he would do that for Molly. It was what she needed, and he knew being with her was what he needed.
