One Month Later – Sunday – Christmas Eve, 2023
Ash
I was never actually going to do the fake fiancée thing.
But the next day I found a note from Tanner outside my door.
It said that he and Nigel had to leave town for a little while because “Santa needed his help.”
I hadn’t heard from him since.
For a whole month I waited for the plague to take me.
But my stupid lungs were too strong.
Tanner had left town. And I had to accept the fact that he wasn’t coming back. Even if he did return one day, it wouldn’t be for me. It would be for his grandson. Tanner loved that kid.
And he didn’t love me. That was clear.
It was over. And I’d agreed to a favor when I thought I was dying. I was trying to be a better person in my new life of solitude.
So now it was Christmas Eve and I was on a train with Mr. Frost.
The guy next to me coughed without covering his mouth.
Yay. Now I could get a new strand of the plague and try this death thing out again. Maybe I’d be better at it this time .
He coughed again.
Nope. I didn’t want it. I scooted closer to Mr. Frost and he smiled at me.
“I almost forgot,” he said and pulled a ring box out of his pocket. “I need you to wear this.” He handed me the box.
I opened it and stared down at the HUGE diamond.
“Ash, will you marry me?”
“Yes, sir.”
He laughed, pulled the ring out of the box, and slid it onto my ring finger.
I had no idea how he’d known my ring size, but it was the perfect fit. I stared down at it. A month ago, I thought Tanner would be giving one of these to me soon. I felt tears welling in the corners of my eyes.
“Do you like it?” Mr. Frost asked.
I nodded and blinked my tears away. “Yes, thank you.”
The person next to me coughed again without covering his mouth. And then he closed his eyes and his head slumped onto my shoulder. Ugh, gross.
He started snoring.
“Here, switch with me,” said Mr. Frost.
I ducked out from under the guy and switched places with Mr. Frost.
He made a grossed out face when the guy coughed again and fell asleep with his head on Mr. Frost’s shoulder now.
I laughed. “Thank you for taking one for the team,” I whispered.
He nodded .
I thought we’d do some kind of prep before we arrived. But Mr. Frost seemed lost in thought. And he kept drumming his fingers against his thigh.
He was nervous.
And his nervousness was making me nervous.
I’d put zero thought into doing this because I never actually thought it would happen. What if it didn’t work and his grandmother saw right through me?
“What’s your family like?” I asked.
“Oh...um...my older brother is a lot like me.”
I smiled. “So...super strict?”
He laughed. “No, my dad is super strict. He’s a total hard ass. He’s way worse than me.”
Huh.
“But my mom is the sweetest. I don’t think there’s a better mother in the whole world. You’re going to love her.”
I smiled. “You’re such a momma’s boy.”
“No I’m not.”
“Yes you are.”
He smiled at me. “Definitely not.”
“Mhm. Sure.” I felt myself smiling too. “Who else am I meeting?”
“My grandmother. She’s sweet too. But...she’s VERY inappropriate.”
I laughed. “I’m sure she’s not.”
“Trust me, she is.” He looked a little embarrassed. “Just don’t take anything she says to heart. Okay?” He patted my thigh. His hand lingered for a bit.
And then the guy sleeping with his head on his shoulder coughed.
Mr. Frost pretended to gag .
I laughed. I was starting to see Mr. Frost in a whole new light.
***
We pulled up to a sweet mansion. It was nothing compared to Tanner’s apartment. Or his private island. Or his vineyard. But it was still nice.
“What do you think?” he asked as we walked into the foyer. He set down our bags.
“Eh.” I shrugged. “Not as nice at my last boyfriend’s place.”
He smiled. “Is that so?”
I nodded.
“Well I’m not your boyfriend.” He reached out and traced his fingers down my wrist and hand until they landed on the diamond rind. “I’m your fiancé, remember?”
“Right. Sorry, Mr. Frost.”
His fingers wrapped around my hand. “You should probably start calling me Xander.”
I stared up at him. I was very aware of my hand in his. And there was something about the Christmas decorations in the foyer that made all this feel very real for a moment. “I think that’s against the rules.”
“At work.” He smiled. “We’re definitely not at work right now.”
We both just stared at each other for a moment.
I cleared my throat and pulled my hand out of his. “So...where is this family of yours? I’m ready to fiancée it up.”
He laughed. “My parents and grandma aren’t home yet. Apparently they’re out doing some last minute shopping. I’m actually going to hop in the shower real quick. Let me show you to your room so you can unpack.”
I tried to grab my suitcase, but he insisted on carrying it for me. He turned around and started walking up the winding staircase.
“Did you say my room?” I asked. “Are we not sharing one?”
He smiled at me over his shoulder. “Were you hoping that we would?”
“No...I...that’s not...”
“Right.”
“I wasn’t!”
“We have to have separate rooms. So as not to upset Grandma.” He opened up a door for me. But instead of walking down the hall, he followed me inside. He set my suitcase down. “Just let me know if you need anything, alright? I’m right next door.”
“Okay.”
“Don’t be nervous. It’s going to be fine.” He lightly touched my shoulder.
I nodded.
He dropped his hand and walked back out of the room.
I took a deep breath. It was strange being with Mr. Frost outside of work. He seemed so much kinder. Not that I deserved it. I pictured the hurt look on Tanner’s face. Yeah, I definitely didn’t deserve it. I probably deserved a pimp hand instead.
I sighed and sat down on the bed. I usually loved Christmas. But I hadn’t been looking forward to this one at all. Not because of Mr. Frost. He’d actually been lovely. And this was the most Christmas spirit I’d felt all season. I looked around the room at the holly and lights that decorated the mantel above the fireplace.
I hadn’t been looking forward to Christmas because I’d been dreaming of my first Christmas with Tanner. It was perfect in my head. I closed my eyes, picturing Tanner and I dancing to Christmas music together in his apartment. A smile spread over his perfect face.
I heard the shower start and opened my eyes, the image vanishing from my head. The bathroom door was open a crack. Mr. Frost and I must have been sharing a Jack and Jill bathroom.
I walked over to close the door. But I caught a glimpse of Mr. Frost’s huge cock in the shower. My hand paused on the doorknob.
I pictured Tanner’s smiling face in my head again. I’d do anything to see him one more time.
I knew he wanted nothing to do with me.
But it didn’t make me love him any less. I missed him so much it hurt.
Without him, I wasn’t sure I’d ever be fine again. But he could still be happy without me. If he was free. He could fall in love with someone else. Start the family we’d talked about with someone new.
But only if he was free. And that responsibility was still on my shoulders, even if we weren’t together.
I wanted him to be free. I wanted him to have everything he’d always wanted.
I looked back through the crack in the door. Maybe Mr. Frost was my lesser true love. I pressed my lips together. I hadn’t been with anyone since walking out of Tanner’s apartment on Thanksgiving. And seeing Mr. Frost lathering his naked body made my heart race.
I knew I didn’t deserve to be touched ever again.
I knew I didn’t deserve to be loved.
But Tanner did.
And Mr. Frost had been really sweet on the train. I didn’t hate him with a fiery passion anymore. And I could just do what I always did when I was with someone. I’d picture Tanner. Maybe for a few minutes my heart wouldn’t hurt so badly. Even if it was all pretend.
I slowly undressed and grabbed a towel that was sitting on the bed. I wrapped it around myself and walked into the bathroom.
I took a deep breath. “Mind if I join you?” I asked and dropped my towel.
He looked totally shocked. But he didn’t dismiss me.
I stepped into the shower, grabbed some soap, and started lathering his body. I ran my fingers down his soapy abs.
He still looked shocked. But his erection looked perfectly unshocked. I dropped to my knees and wrapped my lips around him.
“Fuck,” he said and put his hand against the tiled wall.
I took him all the way to the back of my throat and he groaned.
He buried his fingers in my hair. “Just like that, baby.”
I closed my eyes, picturing Tanner calling me baby again .
Mr. Frost grabbed my hands and held them above my head as he fucked my face.
I didn’t expect him to be so dominant. The water falling on us reminded me of the Supernova Six gangbang. And just like old times, I could feel myself falling into my whorish ways again.
The harder Mr. Frost fucked my face, the more I wanted him to fuck me. I was so wet. Tanner usually made me come at least once a day. I missed his mouth. His fingers. Him.
I needed more. I tried to reach out for Mr. Frost’s abs, but he slammed the back of my hands against the tile, making me choke on him.
“You like choking on my cock, baby?”
Jesus, Mr. Frost.
“Just wait until I stretch out your pussy.” He let go of my hands, picked me up, and sat me down on a little half wall.
He grabbed my hips and slammed into me.
It felt like a century since I’d been filled. “Harder.”
“You’re a fucking miracle.” He started fucking me harder, his fingers digging into my hips.
“Harder,” I moaned again and pressed against the wall.
“I should have known you’d like it rough.” He put his hands under my thighs and pulled me to the very edge of the ledge.
The new angle felt amazing. And he started fucking me so good. I wasn’t sure if the shower was steamy because of us or because of the water.
“Mr. Frost,” I moaned. “I want you to cum all over my face. ”
“So fucking kinky,” he said. He slammed into me once more before pulling out. He pushed me to my knees and he started stroking himself.
“Open wide, baby.”
Yes, sir.
He stroked himself once more and exploded into my mouth. Shot after shot.
Mmm. Sweeter than I expected for such a salty boy.
He stepped back under the water and rinsed off. He gave me a curt nod, returning to his old Mr. Frost ways. And he didn’t say a word as he stepped out of the shower. He wrapped the towel around his waist and walked out the other door to his room.
Interesting. He was a man of few words. I quickly cleaned up and got out of the shower. I got dressed again and walked back through the bathroom and knocked on his door.
There was no response.
Maybe he had already gone downstairs?
I made my way out of the bathroom and my room and went downstairs. I could hear laughter from the other room. I wandered through the big house, through the kitchen, and found Mr. Frost in the living room. He was wearing an ugly Christmas sweater. I smiled. It was actually really cute on him.
“Hey,” I said and walked up to him. I knew my cheeks were pink. I wasn’t sure if he was going to have some kind of reaction to what we’d just done or...
“Ash, I want you to meet my brother. Silas.” He gestured to his brother. Who looked exactly like him.
His brother raised his eyebrow at me. “Nice to officially meet you, Ash.” He stuck out his hand .
What did he mean by officially? Had Mr. Frost told him about me already? I quickly shook his hand. “Are you...twins?” I asked.
Mr. Frost nodded.
“I thought you said you had an older brother?”
“I do. Silas came out first. But in life, he’s always second best.”
Silas smirked at me. “Do you think I’m second best, Ash?”
What the fuck did he mean by that?! And why was he smirking at me?! I swallowed hard. Did I just fuck him in the shower and not Mr. Frost?
No.
That wasn’t possible.
I stared at him.
He smirked again.
Was it him?! Fuck me!
No. I took a deep breath. Definitely not. Maybe. Gah!
“Ah, my parents are home,” said Mr. Frost. He gestured behind him.
“This must be your fiancée,” his mother said. She kissed both my cheeks.
“Hi, Mrs. Frost.”
“Please, call me Linda. And this is my husband Charles.”
“Mr. Frost,” I said and shook his hand.
Silas chuckled.
I stared at him. Why was he laughing? Was it because I’d just called him Mr. Frost in the shower? Kill me !
“And this is Silas’ fiancée, Adriana.” Mr. Frost gestured to a beautiful woman who looked nothing like me.
Okay. Good. Silas definitely hadn’t banged me. He was engaged. And he liked brunettes. Good. Phew. I think? Was that bastard smirking at me again?!
“It’s time to eat,” said Linda and gestured us all into an immaculate dining room.
Apparently it was a tradition to have a Christmas Eve feast at the Frost household.
While we were waiting for the food to be served, Mr. Frost’s grandmother walked into the dining room, fashionably late.
And very fashionable she was. She was dressed like a total boss in a fur coat, pearls, and sunglasses. She lifted her sunglasses for a moment and squinted at me. “Who is the mick next to the gay one?”
What? On so many levels...what?
Mr. Frost cleared his throat. “Grandma, this is my fiancée, Ash. And I don’t think she’s full Irish.” Mr. Frost put his arm around my shoulders.
I lifted my hand to show off my ring.
“Really?” she asked.
“Yes,” Mr. Frost said a little defensively.
“It’s a Christmas miracle. The boy isn’t as light in his loafers as we all thought.” Her sunglasses fell back into place and she sat down in her chair.
Mr. Frost’s arm tensed around me.
Had his whole family thought he was gay? I laughed awkwardly. “He likes girls,” I said. “Trust me.” We’d just banged in the shower...
Silas laughed .
Unless I’d just fucked Silas instead. Gah!
The servers placed down trays of food.
Which reminded me of Nigel. I even missed him.
I started eating as soon as it was appropriate. God, this is so awkward. But it was only uncomfortable for a few minutes. Because Mr. Frost’s parents were actually amazing.
“He had all these binders in high school...” his father started.
“He still does that!” I said. “He organizes all the work for the week in these horrible binders.”
His mom and dad laughed.
“I stopped doing that, darling,” Mr. Frost said with a laugh. And then he stared down at me. “Because you hated it so much.”
He was looking at me so lovingly, I almost believed it. “That’s true. He stopped because I asked him to.” I smiled at him. I couldn’t tell if he was staring at me like he’d just fucked me or not...
I cleared my throat. “So he was always uptight?” I asked.
His dad laughed. “Always.”
I smiled and took a sip of champagne.
“I thought he was uptight because his bum hole was sore,” said his grandma.
I almost spit out my champagne.
“Because of gay back door things,” she clarified.
I laughed. Yeah, I’d gotten that.
Mr. Frost groaned.
I looked up at him. I don’t think I’d ever seen him embarrassed before. “Love you, babe.”
He laughed. “Love you back, babe. ”
“You two are so cute,” said Linda. “So I know you met at work. But how did it become more?”
“He brought me soup when I got sick,” I said.
“Did you really?” asked his mom. “How thoughtful.”
“So thoughtful. I was so sick I thought I was hallucinating. Because he’d always been so mean at work.”
Linda laughed.
“He was mean because his bum hole was sore,” said his grandma.
“Grandma, please,” said Linda and turned back to me. “Please go on.”
“And we realized we just clicked outside of work,” said Mr. Frost.
“Clickity clicked,” I said. What am I saying? “Mr. Frost is much nicer in private.”
Silas laughed.
“Did you just call him Mr. Frost?” asked Adriana.
I felt my face growing red. “Yeah...it’s...um...”
“Usually reserved for the bedroom,” said Mr. Frost.
My face had to be scarlet.
Linda cleared her throat. “When do you think the wedding will be? We have to make sure the two dates aren’t too close.” She nodded at Silas and Adriana. “There’s so much planning.”
“The sooner the better,” I said as I emptied my champagne glass.
Mr. Frost nodded. “That’s the plan.”
I smiled. I couldn’t believe we were actually pulling this off.
His arm was starting to feel more relaxed around me .
His grandma pushed her sunglasses up again and stared at the two of us. Her eyes grew round. “I can’t even believe it,” she said.
I leaned over and kissed Mr. Frost’s cheek to really sell it.
“Definitely a Christmas miracle.” She let her sunglasses fall back into place. “My Christmas wishes have been answered.”
“What exactly were your Christmas wishes?” asked Silas.
“That there would no longer be homo things happening under this roof.”
I tried to hide my laugh.
Mr. Frost leaned closer and I could feel his hot breath in my ear. “It’s not funny.”
“It’s a little funny,” I whispered.
“I told you she was inappropriate.”
“I think she’s amazing.”
He smiled down at me. “I think you’re amazing.”
I knew it was just pretend. But it felt good to be appreciated again. Even if it was fake.

“The boys used to share a room growing up,” said Adriana as she sat down on the bed next to mine. “So I had the silly idea that they could share again. And that we could share. So that we could get to know each other. A slumber party of sorts.”
“Yeah, of course.” I stared at the bathroom door in horror. So Silas was in that other room too. It could have easily been him in the shower.... But no. He wouldn’t have done that. Right ?
“So what is Xander like behind closed doors?” she asked. “I’m so used to him being stuffy.”
I pictured him in the shower. It was definitely my Mr. Frost. Not hers. It had to be. “Very domineering.”
Adriana laughed. “I should have guessed. Silas is the same way.”
Yikes.
She laughed again. “It’s so strange dating twins. Sometimes I see Xander and almost kiss him by accident. Luckily they have a few different mannerisms.”
“Have you ever accidentally gone through with it? The accidental kiss?”
“Of course not!”
“Right.”
Adriana filled me in about how she and Silas had met. It seemed like a whirlwind romance. It reminded me of always hearing about Rosalie’s latest flings. Actual hanging out with her like this reminded me of hanging out with Rosalie when we were in high school.
“And I got in so much trouble,” Adriana said. “It was like a pre-bachelorette party thing.”
“Pre-bachelorette party?” I asked. Was that a weird rich person thing?
She shrugged. “Maybe it was technically more of an engagement celebration with friends. I don’t know. It got completely out of hand. And I didn’t know fucking strippers was against the rules.”
Now she sounded like Chastity. I smiled.
“So I had to give Silas a free pass. But you don’t actually think he’ll use it, do you?”
“Um...no? ”
She nodded. “I agree. As long as I keep him satisfied. Which is why I brought this.” She pulled a sexy elf costume out of her bag. “You need to dress up too. I want to surprise the boys.”
“Oh...I’m not sure that is a good idea.” What if it had been Silas in the bathroom earlier? That meant my Mr. Frost hadn’t done things to me. And it meant he certainly didn’t want a sexy surprise...
“Come on. Please. It’ll be fun.” She stood up and started changing. “I’m so excited to finally have a sister.”
I pressed my lips together. I missed Rosalie. So much. And I knew none of this was real. But if it had been Rosalie here with me years ago, I would have passed. I had been too awkward and scared. But I wasn’t the same girl anymore. “Yeah. Let’s do it.” I hadn’t brought any sexy clothes, but luckily Adriana had brought a ton. I pulled on the lacy red lingerie she handed me.
We went through the bathroom.
And luckily the door was unlocked.
Mr. Frost’s eyes grew round as soon as he saw me. I made sure not to even glance at Silas. I didn’t want his confusing smirks. I just wanted to believe that I’d fucked my boss earlier, thank you very much.
I hurried over to Mr. Frost’s bed, lifted the covers, and slid in next to him. “Hi.”
“Hi.” He stared down at me.
I scooted closer so I could whisper in his ear. “I’m sorry, Adriana wanted to surprise you guys and...”
Mr. Frost’s hand fell to my hip.
I swallowed hard .
He pulled back slightly so he could look down at me.
I stared into his icy blue eyes.
“We should probably sell it then, huh?” He raised his eyebrow at me.
I nodded.
He slowly lowered his lips to mine.
They were surprisingly soft.
His tongue gently darted across my lips. I parted my lips for him. He tasted like Christmas cookies. His fingers tightened on my hip and he pulled me closer.
I knew Silas and Adriana were in the next bed. But I was so focused on Mr. Frost’s tongue swirling around mine that I completely forgot we weren’t alone.
I moaned into his mouth and he pulled me even closer.
And then there was a knock on the door.
“Shit,” said Silas. “Hide.”
Mr. Frost put his hand on the top of my head and pushed me under the sheets. Dangerously close to the erection tenting his boxers. I stared at it.
“You boys okay in here?” His grandmother asked.
“Yes, grandma,” they both said.
“I know how excited you two get about Santa. But he won’t come if you’re in here making a ruckus. And he definitely won’t come if you’re masturbating on a cookie again.”
Silas groaned. “Grandma! That was ONE TIME. And we were like 12. We didn’t know any better.”
I stifled a laugh and the movement made my mouth so freaking close to Mr. Frost’s penis. I didn’t know what had been about to happen before his grandma walked in. But I didn’t need to fuck him again to get Tanner free.
As soon as the door closed, I excused myself back to my room.
“Of course,” Mr. Frost said. He cleared his throat. “Sweet dreams, Ash.”
***
I didn’t think it would feel like Christmas somewhere new. But coming down and seeing all the presents under the tree sure felt like Christmas. I sat down, ready to watch everyone open presents. But Mr. Frost grabbed one from under the tree and handed it to me.
“What is this?” I hadn’t gotten him anything.
“One of your presents,” he said with a smile.
One of? “I didn’t get you anything,” I whispered.
He shrugged. “I think you being here is enough of a present. Open it.”
I slowly unwrapped the present. I laughed. It was a new furry hat.
“For the next time you’re sick.”
“Thank you.”
He smiled and handed me another present. He’d gotten me a matching scarf and mittens too.
“Just in case you want to wear the hat in a normal way.”
“Hey.” I lightly shoved him.
I hadn’t expected him to get me such sweet presents.
“I can’t believe Santa didn’t show,” said Silas.
I remembered Tanner’s letter about needing to help Santa. I knew Santa was real. But I didn’t know whether Tanner was with him or not. But if he was...it made sense that they didn’t come here. Tanner wanted nothing to do with me. And honestly, Santa probably wanted nothing to do with these twins. “Maybe you boys were too naughty,” I said. Shit, had I said that out loud?
Mr. Frost raised his eyebrow at me.
“The binders were this year,” I said.
“Sorry,” he said and pulled me a little closer. “The binders are officially done. I promise.”
I rested my head on his shoulder. As I watched everyone else open presents, I started to worry. What if Tanner really was mixed up in something bad with Santa? What if they were in trouble or something? I shook my head. I was still having a hard time believing Santa was real. That sexy hunk of man meat.
Or maybe they hadn’t come because I’d been so naughty this year. I’d cheated on my boyfriend a million times. And I’d probably fucked the wrong Mr. Frost last night. I glanced over at Silas. My Mr. Frost seemed more...gentlemanly than him. He’d been nothing but respectful last night. His hand had stayed on my hip when we’d kissed and everything.
Fuck me. I was a walking disaster.
And now I was worried that something terrible had happened to Tanner. He hadn’t sent me a single text since he left a month ago.
And I’d sent him a few. Fine. About a hundred. But I was in love with him and he was ghosting me.
But...what if he wasn’t? What if something terrible had happened to him and Santa?
