“You don’t even deserve to be homecoming queen,” said as he charged into Ada.

Ada grabbed by the shoulders to prevent him from tackling her. He struggled in her grip.

It’s now or never, thought to himself. He instinctively pulled out the stake he purchased at Witch’s Brew and jammed it into Ada’s chest. “And l-let me guess, you think y-you do?” she blurted out, her voice growing meeker with every word. The vampire’s eyes grew wide as she leaned forward to bite , but as each nanoparticle of her disintegrated into burning dust, it became apparent Ada wasn’t getting in another bite.

Now free, ’s body fell forward as Ada’s grip vanished. He stumbled to catch himself as her crown—the only personal effect of the vampire remaining—coincidentally dropped onto his head. Although she was literally dust in the wind, finally replied to his vampire attacker’s question.

“Well, if the crown fits,” he said as he adjusted it on his head.
