CHAPTER 28
Mallory
I ’m on my way to class when my phone buzzes. I pull it from my pocket, grinning when I see a text from the Masked Man. I changed his name in my contacts after he drilled me in the woods.
My brows narrow when I see the picture he sent.
MASKED MAN: You look beautiful when you sleep.
ME: You’d be normal if you weren’t texting creepy pics of me sleeping.
MASKED MAN: LOL. I never said I was normal.
A few minutes later, I receive another picture from him. This one is of me studying in the library two days ago.
Then another comes through of me in line at the coffee shop with Mandy.
ME: You have a problem.
MASKED MAN: It’s an obsession, not a problem. And you like it. *Smiles*
I shake my head, not saying a word. I’d be lying if I denied it.
MASKED MAN: Cat got your tongue, pretty girl?
ME: Yup. Stole it and ran away.
MASKED MAN: You make me laugh. You enjoy our banter or you wouldn’t be smiling like that.
My head jerks up, and I look around, searching for him.
But I don’t see him anywhere.
ME: Where are you?
MASKED MAN: Always lurking like a ghost. Sometimes you see me, sometimes you don’t.
I roll my eyes, knowing he’ll see it.
MASKED MAN: You’ll be punished for that later.
My smile widens as I slide into the chair inside the classroom, my panties damp.
I can’t wait.
