CHAPTER 55
Stryker
“ T he bad news is, I won’t be with you on your birthday on Halloween.” I’m worried about how Mallory will take the news. “Zayne intends to go through with his plans for revenge.”
She squeezes my hand as we stroll through Central Park. “It’s okay, Stryker. You have a job to do. Zayne needs you.” She gives me a big smile. “You can make it up to me before and after. Starting tonight.”
I laugh, leaning down and kissing her cheek. “You’re insatiable.” I wink at her, and she laughs, swatting me.
“Oh, and you’re not? You practically mauled me as soon as we entered the hotel room.”
“You mauled me back. I have scratches on my back to prove it.”
“I plan to give you more later.” She looks around and then whispers in my ear, “I have a rope, and I fully intend to live out my fantasy of tying you up while you’re wearing the mask.”
I wink at her. “I’m yours. Do with me what you want. ”
“Jesus.” Her baby blues are liquid pools of desire. “I’m overheating at the thought.”
I pull her off the trail and kiss her. “Are you hungry? For food, not me. That’s later.”
She giggles. “Yes. Please feed me.”
“Zayne suggested a pizza shop. Let’s go check it out.”
“I’m good with that.”
Her mom has been blowing up her phone, but Mallory ignores it. “She wants me to come home and get ready for the party. But I have other plans.”
Mallory holds up the little black dress. After we ate pizza, she wanted to go shopping. She used her father’s credit card to buy the sexy black dress she’s currently holding and a pair of black Louboutin stilettos, smirking as she chose the most expensive ones.
Then she dragged me into a specialty shop, where I was fitted for a tux and shoes. Despite my protests, she handed over her father’s credit card with a smirk. “Daddy will be thrilled when he gets the credit card statement. It serves him right.”
Now, she’s standing in the bathroom, clad in a towel. “Baby. Will you bring me the black bra and thong from my suitcase?”
I drool as she slides the barely there bra and thong on, but she waggles her finger at me. “Later. No touching until after the party.”
I grumble as I get dressed. “You’re gonna pay for this.”
She leans out the bathroom door, a flirtatious smile on her face. Wiggling her brows up and down, she says, “I look forward to it.” Her smile turns devilish. “Remember. It’s my early birthday celebration. You’re part of my gift. I get to tie you up.”
“Anything you want, baby.”
“Good. Now, lemme work. I want to surprise you.”
While she’s getting ready, I text Zayne about my interaction with Mallory’s mom. I know he’s going to laugh his ass off when he reads it.
When Mallory opens the bathroom door and strolls out with a giant smile on her face, I drop my fucking phone. “Jesus, little prey. You take my fucking breath away.”
I get up from the bed and slowly walk around her, releasing a long whistle. “You’ve never looked more beautiful.” I pull her against me. “There’s only one time you’ll top this look.”
She looks surprised and a little defensive. “When?”
“On our wedding day.”
She melts against me. “You’re the sweetest.”
“And you’re the most beautiful woman, inside and out, that I’ve ever seen.” I kiss her hand. “Let’s go torment your parents. I can’t wait to claim you in front of everyone at the party.”
