HADES
H ades pulled the last patch of lace from Persephone’s body and touched her core with the tip of his arousal.
Her reaction was instantaneous.
She hissed and clawed at his back.
He knew she was grappling with the idea of going further. But the resistance in her core told him she was not ready.
He cupped her breast and pinched a nipple instead.
She arched her back, wriggling her hips against his, and he smiled.
“It’s all right,” he reassured her. “I will not harm you.”
He planted kisses all over Persephone’s cleavage, and he loved the lullaby of her heartbeat against his ear. He took her hand and traced circles over the inside of her wrist .
His touches made her body writhe under him in the most delightful way.
Emotion rose to his chest as he reclaimed his bride.
She tasted just as he remembered. Sweet, milky.
The room was flooded with her scent as he fondled her. Caressed her. Then he playfully slapped her skin until it reddened.
Her face was shiny now, and her hair was frizzed at the ends.
She tried to kick him away when he dipped his head between her thighs, but she stilled after another playful smack on her thigh.
“You will love this, I promise,” he said.
He planted his mouth on her sensitive skin and hummed long and deep, the vibrations rolling out, and Persephone shrieked.
He enjoyed every moment he teased her.
Every jerk of her hips, and hiss through her teeth was a healing balm on his wounds.
He knew exactly where to caress. Where to apply pressure. And for exactly how long, to make his wife come undone.
He lifted his head to watch the euphoria cross her features as she let out an earth-shattering scream that made the very walls of their bed chamber tremble.
It was the sound of his triumph, and he knew she was ripe for him.
He lifted her by the globes of her bottom and positioned her core to his tip once more .
This time, she opened for him. And when she slid all the way down, the two lovers pressed their foreheads together and let out a long shaky breath.
Hades held her so tight.
He daren’t move. Too scared that this was a dream and any moment now, he would wake up.
But slowly, tentatively, Persephone rocked her hips.
Hades groaned in sweet agony.
He longed to tell her how much he loved her, to whisper sweet nothings in her ear all night long, but the words refused to come.
It’s all right, my dark love. I can hear you.
Her voice entered his mind again.
Hades pulled back to look incredulously in her eyes.
In the world of the gods, telepathy was a byproduct of bonding with a soulmate. He and Persephone had become so deeply connected, that they acted as one soul. Sharing their thoughts… even their innermost secrets with each other.
But after Adonis took her, she was lost to him. And his mind had become so terribly silent.
Until now.
