Chapter 1

Kiernan

I can't believe the big day is finally here! It's been a long time coming. Brian loads up the truck with his supplies while Michael and Tray are making subs and grabbing snacks.

“Have you decided on the color siding you want?” Brian asks, climbing in the truck. Leaning over he gives me a kiss and I sigh against his lips.

He's amazing and I am beyond lucky to have him and the others in my life. I was in a dark space for awhile there after everything happened with Carrie and they helped to pull me back into the light.

They never scoffed or judged when I told them what Blakely planned to do and they even offered to help.

They are the perfect package for my psychotic heart.

Pulling back from his kiss, I shake my head.

“Still leaning towards gray, but the slate-blue is nice,” I mutter, grabbing my phone and comparing the colors again.

“Um, babe, those are almost the same color. But whatever you choose will be perfect,” he says, starting the engine.

“I just want this place to be ours. No more murder house. The time has come to tear it down completely and just rebuild.”

“I still think we should just find a place on the water. Maybe by Francis or Carrie?” he suggests and I shake my head.

“No, I want the place where I met you all for the first time. It's the start of our love story. I don't care that college students were killed there. I'm not scared of a few ghosts.”

Brian laughs as Micheal opens the back door with a cooler in his hand. His cheeks are flushed and his caramel hair is messy.

“Ah I see how it is. You had a quickie without me,” I say with a fake pout and he leans over the seat, gripping my hair, pulling me into a quick kiss.

“I didn't think making subs would turn him on so much,” he mutters, licking his lips, then shrugs.

“We have a busy day, so he better hurry up or I'll leave his ass,” Brian grumbles and I smile.

I may have found my own horny harem, but Brian doesn't like hearing about his brother's sexcapades.

Him and Michael try to keep things in the bedroom separate, but they love me too much to deny me my fantasies.

“He's grabbing the chips. Chill,” Michael huffs, then starts to play with my hair. A shiver runs down my spine and I groan as he tugs the strands hard.

My dick perks up and I curse him under my breath. We don't have time for this.

“As much as I'd like to choke you with my cock, Mike, it'll have to wait. Bates and Chuck are at the house, waiting on us.”

Glancing out the window, I see Tray holding a tote full of snacks with a huge smile on his face.

His hair is also a mess, but I don't blame him. Kitchen sex is fun and an often occurrence in this house.

“About fucking time,” Brian grumbles and I make a note to fuck that attitude out of him later.

Tray hands Mike the bag and he places it on the floorboard by his feet. Tray climbs in and before his door is even fully shut, Brian is peeling down the driveway.

Placing my hand on his thigh, I give him a squeeze. “Babe, seriously, it’s okay. Carrie said that they were stopping for some lunch supplies too, so I doubt they are even there yet. What’s going on with you? Do you need a Snickers?” I joke and while his top lip twitches, he doesn’t laugh.

“I got a letter the other day. My old high school football team is having a memorial for our coach. He passed away. They want me to come, but they don’t know that I’m gay, and my town is almost as small and judgemental as Reutman. If I choose to go, will you come with me?”

Brian’s strangling the steering wheel, and I know how much this is bothering him. “Of course I will. Anywhere you need me, I will always be.”

Moving my hand from his thigh, he wraps our fingers together and kisses the back of my hand. “I love you, Kiernan. You have made my life so much brighter. I don’t know what I would do without you.”

I lean over and give him a quick kiss as he waits at a red light. Deepening it, Tray groans in the backseat. “Ugh, how am I supposed to do construction with an erection,” he grumbles and I laugh, pulling away.

Brian gives me a wink and smiles, his shoulder’s instantly lighter.

It doesn’t take us long to get to the house, since we have been staying at a rental just out of town. Carrie and her guys are already there, looking at the place that once held a lot of misery, but also freedom.

I know the guys think I am crazy for wanting to live somewhere where we tortured and killed a bunch of ungrateful college kids, but I don’t see it like that. I see this place as a haven for my best friend.

She took her power back from people who tried to break her down.

Plus it was a steal in the police auctions. No one wanted to buy the murder house.

“Are you ready?” Brian asks and I give him a big grin, nodding.

Unbuckling and opening the door, I have to laugh as Bates and Meyers are arguing. Carrie looks happy and that can only mean one or two things.

“You're pregnant,” I gasp, moving over to her. She’s glowing and bouncing on the balls of her feet. Pouting, she scowls.

“How do you always fucking do that?!”

Chuck laughs, coming closer to us and pulling her into his arms. He places his hands over her small stomach and can’t keep the grin off his lips.

“She hasn’t even told the other guys or Francis yet. I only know because I found her with her head in the toilet bowl this morning and suggested we grab a test.”

Rolling her eyes, she sighs. “I don’t know how far along I am, but if I had to guess I’d say ten weeks. We went on that trip and there was the night in the hottub…” she trails off, getting lost in a memory, and I smirk.

I am so happy that she’s getting better. When Carrie died and Blakely took her place, she was a lost little lamb. She couldn’t accept any part of her old life, including her daughter. Francis, our bestie from another testie became her mom, and we raised Tiffany for about three years.

Since then Carrie has returned, and she’s a mom of a horde of kids now. Freddy is my little buddy, and Margo is my angel.

“I don’t think it’ll be a huge shock, Carebear, they like to keep you pregnant,” I mutter, expecting her to smack my arm, but she just rolls her eyes again and laughs, nodding.

“They really do. I swear Meyers wants to have six more kids, but I draw the line at four. Our house is chaotic enough with Tiffany becoming a pre-teen, and Ms. Kay can only handle her sass for so long.”

“I wonder where she gets it from,” Chuck grunts, then groans as Carrie smacks him in his abs.

Brian and Mike come over to join us, and I can tell they just had an argument. Mike looks mad, and Brian just looks tired. We have been together a long time, and this is just our next step in our relationship, but I worry that one day, one of them will have enough of the tension and break my heart.

“Okay, so I think the first steps will be to go inside and open all the windows, airing the place out, then we can start ripping wallpaper and floorboards up,” Tray says as he walks around the truck, clipping his tool belt around his hips.

“Fuck,” I mutter, and Carrie laughs. Shoving her arm gently with my shoulder, I whisper just for her. “Shut up, bitch, you know my guys are hot.”

“Yeah, yeah, we are lucky psychos aren’t we,” she jokes, then takes my hand, pulling me into the house that started it all.

Chuck, Bates, and Meyers follow us in, and I have to laugh at how slow their steps are.

We tormented them that weekend, but it was for a good cause. They needed to learn the truth.

“Can we just go one night without you guys at each other’s throats,” I groan, entering our rental. Brain and Mike are at it again, and this time I don’t even know what it’s about.

Tray grabs my hand and leads us to the bedroom. I’m exhausted, a little tipsy and need a shower.

“I don’t see what the issue is, Brian,” Mike roars before stomping down the hall and slamming his door. Loud music begins to play off of his Alexa, and I sigh.

“I know you love them, but I don’t see us staying a foursome for long,” Tray whispers, moving behind me to pull me into his arms.

“The last year things have gotten so strained. I get it that they don’t like to share me in the bedroom, but I’m okay with having our separate times. Maybe when we have a big house, then they can each take a wing and avoid one another,” I grunt, then turn, give him a quick kiss before pulling away and walking to the bathroom.

I shut the door, letting them know that I just need a few minutes to myself, then strip my clothes and hop in the shower.

I’m ready for this day to end, but I’m really excited to move into our home. Start our future. Maybe even discuss kids. I want a family full of love and passion… Now I just need to figure out how to get the twins to stop fighting.
