CHAPTER THIRTY-EIGHT

MATíAS

When I knock on Adrian’s door, he doesn’t say anything. It’s mostly open, so I push it the rest of the way, and find him entrenched in his phone.

“Everything okay?”

“Uh. Yeah.”

The pause between the two words makes me believe that’s likely not true. It’s probably his wife, so it’s nothing I want to talk about.

“What do you want to do today?” I ask, leaning against the door jamb.

He tosses his phone and runs a hand over his face before letting out a deep exhale. “I’m open to anything.”

I arch a brow. “Is that so?”

Adrian’s head goes back slightly. “Uh-oh. Should I be afraid?”

Walking toward his bed, I continue to grin at him. “Not afraid . Maybe excited .”

I crawl onto the bed and between his legs, forcing him to lie back as I hover over him .

“I feel very excited right now, but it’s only been fifteen minutes since I came, so.”

I laugh. “Don’t worry. I won’t try to get anything else out of you right now.”

“But I do owe you something,” he says, hands landing on my sides.

“Later.”

He pouts. “What if I wanted to do it now?” His hands move toward the waistband of my lounge pants.

“I said later,” I say in a stronger tone with space between each word.

His eyes widen briefly before narrowing with lust. “Oh.”

“Mm. Now kiss me.”

He does so quickly, his hands reaching for my face as he presses his lips against mine. When I pull away, I get on my knees between his legs.

“Tonight, we’re going out. Don’t wear anything super casual. No jeans or T-shirts. No shorts.”

Adrian gets up on his elbows. “Where are we going exactly?”

I run my hands down his thighs. “I think you have an idea.”

“What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas?” he questions.

“I hope not.”

We go out and eat at a hotel nearby, taking some time to be tourists inside the resort. We walk to other resorts before deciding to head back to our own.

“It’s so fucking hot out here,” Adrian complains.

“I have a cabana reserved at one of the pools,” I tell him. “If you’re interested. ”

He faces me. “A cabana?”

“We’ll have our own little area to sit and relax. They have curtains on each side, so we can draw them closed. The pool is twenty-one and older, and much more private and quiet than the beach one they have.”

“Did you reserve this before you knew I’d be here?”

I swallow. “Yes.”

“Did you plan on bringing someone with you?”

I hesitate. “I wasn’t going to bring anyone, no.”

“You were gonna meet someone then.”

We walk into the elevator with a few others. “Probably.”

Adrian doesn’t say anything, and I can’t tell if it’s because he’s bothered, or simply because we have an audience now.

Once we get to our floor, he speaks. “And tonight?” he questions. “You were always gonna go, weren’t you?”

I stop and face him in the middle of the hall. “Yes. You weren’t in my life when I made the reservations. When I made plans. Now you are.”

He licks his lips and nods once. “Okay.”

Inside the room, I ask, “So, do you wanna go to the pool?”

“Yeah. I’ll change.”

Both of us meet back in the living room a few minutes later, dressed in our swim trunks, plain T-shirts, and slides.

When we get outside, I find the numbered cabana I reserved, and put my things inside.

“This is nice,” Adrian says.

“Yeah, and there’s only a few people here. Even better.”

Adrian snorts. “Your aversion to people is hilarious.”

I close the curtains on the sides, since the back is already closed, leaving only the front one that faces the pool open.

I walk over to Adrian, knowing nobody can see us, and I pull him into me. “I don’t have an aversion to you.”

He swallows, his hand resting on my hip. “That’s good. ”

“In fact, I quite desire your presence.”

“Is that right?”

I lean forward and kiss along his cheekbone. “Mmhmm. That’s why I endured all the tourists. Because I was with you.”

He runs his fingers through my hair. “Thank you.”

I kiss his lips. “You’ll thank me later.”

His teeth scrape across his bottom lip, then I turn around and take off my shirt. I reach for the sunscreen that sits in the small basket on the coffee table and hand it to Adrian.

He takes it without a word and squirts some into his hand before massaging it into my shoulders and across my back.

I turn around. “Now my front.”

He smirks. “Yes, sir.”

I bite down on my teeth, jaw clenching. He seems to notice the effect.

As he massages the lotion into my chest, he chews on his lip, like he’s mulling over a thought.

He rubs more onto my stomach and says, “Do you only have these types of relationships? With the power exchange? Or have you been in what they’d say is a vanilla relationship?”

“Who’s they ?” I ask with a grin.

“You know. Media.”

He rubs more of the sunscreen onto my arms.

“I don’t have relationships so to speak. My sex life usually consists of people in the lifestyle. I prefer to be in control. There are rules set in place, so everyone knows what they’re getting into at the start. It’s sex. That’s it.”

His eyes meet mine. “When did you start that?”

“A couple years after college. I met a guy who was a Dominant. I was intrigued and learned quite a bit. ”

“When you say met.”

“I had sex with him. Yes.”

He nods, but there’s a hurt expression on his face. He doesn’t have the right to be mad or jealous, but I understand it. It’s the same way I feel when I think about him being married.

“So, no regular vanilla relation—sexual experiences?”

“Sure, I’ve had them.”

“But you prefer it the other way.”

It’s not a question. It’s like he already knows.

“Yes. It helps me keep emotions from getting involved. I hardly have repeats. If I do, we’re both aware it’s for the experience, not because we’re in love.”

“And the guy that called?” he asks, stepping back when he’s done covering me in the sunscreen.

“Christian.”

“Let’s not give him a name,” he says with a nose scrunch.

“Take off your shirt and turn around,” I tell him, grabbing the lotion to put on his back. “What about him?”

“No feelings?”

“Not on my end.”

“But he has them?”

“I think so, yes.”

He goes quiet while I cover his body.

“I know I don’t have a right to ask what I’m about to ask, but I’m curious.” I lift a brow. “If I…if we do the things you’re used to. Would that keep you from wanting to do it with anyone else?”

I stare at him, a cocktail of emotions swirling inside me. There are so many things I want to say, and they’re all on the tip of my tongue, ready to leap off. But I say something completely different.

“Are you asking me not to sleep with anyone else? ”

He runs his hands through his hair. “I know I don’t have that right.”

“You’re right. You don’t. Just like I can’t ask you to not sleep with your wife. You likely will, right?”

“Matías,” he says softly.

“Let’s not discuss this,” I say. “It’s not gonna help anything.”

I walk away and go into the pool. There’s an older man on the other end, and two ladies on lounge chairs.

A few minutes later, Adrian joins me, and after a few awkward minutes, he speaks up.

“I’ve always wanted to mess around in a pool.”

I look at him before snorting. “Are you propositioning me?”

He looks over at the older man who’s doing leg kicks as he hangs onto the side. “Just saying.”

We relax in the pool for a while, swimming and floating while we talk, and I’m grateful to be away from our previous subject.

As Adrian floats on his back, I notice the older man and the women on the lounge chairs leave. Earlier, another couple came in, but they’re currently behind the closure of their own cabana.

“Adrian,” I say, getting his attention. He gets to his feet and looks at me. “Come here.”

He swims over, looking around and noticing our audience is gone.

“Yes?” he asks in a flirty tone.

“I want you to touch me.”

He bites his lip. “Okay.” Turning around, he makes sure nobody is around.

“I’ll let you know if someone comes up. ”

His hand tries to slip into my shorts, but with the water and the type of material, it’s not exactly easy.

“Guess you’ll have to push them down.”

He shoves them below my ass, and reaches below the water to wrap his fingers around my shaft.

“Show me how hard you can get me.”

“A challenge?”

“A demand.”

“Hmm.”

When he begins stroking me, he leans in and rubs his whiskered face against my neck, his lips brushing against my skin when he says, “I’ll get you so hard you’ll be demanding that I fuck you.”

Goosebumps run down my arms as excitement unfurls in my stomach. It’s been a while since I’ve bottomed, but with Adrian, it was mostly our usual.

“We’ll see,” I say, trying to maintain my composure.

His hand slides up and down my shaft, lips and tongue making their way down my neck as his free hand curves around my ass.

“I think you want me to be inside you,” he whispers huskily.

I moan when his finger slides between my cheeks.

“Have you missed me, Matías? And the way I fuck you?”

His finger glides over my hole, my cock hardening in his grip.

He doesn’t let me respond before continuing. “I’ve missed being inside you.”

I pant, beginning to thrust into his hand.

“Feeling your tight ass clench around my cock.”

“Adrian,” I murmur. Distant noises become louder, and my eyes scan the area. “Someone’s coming.”

He pulls away and I quickly snatch my shorts up. It takes several seconds of adjusting, but I’m composed by the time the couple come around the corner.

“Maybe we should go back upstairs,” I say, still trying to adjust myself so I can get out of the water.

“Good idea,” he says with a smirk. “I guess I accomplished the challenge.”

I grin as I walk up the stairs. “I guess so. Let’s see what else you’ll be able to accomplish tonight.”
