CHAPTER 26
The Mysterious Coffee Shop Stranger
Jonah glanced at his phone, his heart sinking at the name he saw on the screen. He was there minutes ago, what the hell could have happened in such a short time?
He made a quick turn into the first parking lot he saw, then picked up his phone and answered the call. “What?”
“You were right. I hurt him. I did it on purpose,” Eric said.
What the hell?
“Don’t listen to him! It’s not true!” Alan’s panicked voice shouted in the background.
Jonah let out an exasperated sigh. Alan really was an angel for putting up with ‘I’m-the-center-of-the-fucking-universe drama queen’ Scott.
Just like Sean and Isabel put up with you.
Jonah turned off the ignition and rested his forehead against his hand. “Eric. Did you hurt Alan just now?”
“No.”
“Are you planning on hurting him again?”
“No.”
“Then accept his apology and move on. Nobody does the right thing all the time, but you can learn from your mistakes and aim to do better. Alan is giving you a chance to make amends by becoming the person who’s truly deserving of his friendship. It’s up to you to seize it before it’s too late. Is this something you’re willing to do?”
“Yeah.”
“You might want to look into therapy. I’m not saying this to be a dick. It’s expensive as fuck, but it’s worth it. Think about it.”
“Mm-hm…”
“Get your shit together, alright?”
“Yeah.”
“Now hang up, hug Alan, and put a smile on his face.”
Jonah dropped his phone onto the passenger seat and took a few deep breaths as he repeated to himself that there was no need for him to go check on Alan. Eric just had a moment of panic, fueled by his guilt; nothing bad would happen.
Jonah snatched his phone and accessed his conversation with Alan, letting out an exasperated sigh as he read his texts.
? Alan: Don’t listen to him
? Alan: He’s in a bad place
? Alan: He still feels bad about the other day
? Alan: He asked me to punch him and I said no, so he called you
? Alan: He’s not gonna hurt me
? Alan: Please don’t listen to him
Fucking hell.
? Jonah: Everything okay?
Jonah nervously stared at his screen for a while, then raised the notification volume to the maximum and placed it in the cupholder.
He let out another big sigh and rubbed his face with both hands, then let his gaze wander across the facade of the establishment he was parked in front of. It appeared to be some sort of martial arts academy, and on the other side of the large window stood someone strikingly familiar.
It figured that his psychologist was into this sort of thing.
From what Jonah could see, he seemed to be killing it; every movement executed with fluid, controlled precision. It was impressive. Just like in the movies. Except, Ian Gruger was in no need of a stuntman.
Psychologist by day and kick-ass ninja by…day.
Jonah would have liked to keep enjoying the show, but he couldn’t very well stay there and watch him like a creep. Next thing he knew, his own therapist would be filing a restraining order against him.
He started his car and left the parking lot, swiftly—but prudently—driving the short distance to his home.
Jonah grabbed his phone and got out of his car, checking the notification he received.
? Alan: Yeah! he’s calmed down completely. What did you tell him?
Jonah smiled. He’d been right not to worry. Alan hadn’t replied right away simply because he was busy hugging Eric and being a better friend than the idiot deserved .
? Jonah: I know what it’s like to feel like a piece of shit
? Jonah: Just talked some sense into him
? Alan: Thank you for doing that. It means a lot to me ??
Jonah’s heart palpitated as he stared at the emoji on his screen.
It doesn’t mean anything , he told himself. Lots of people overused those, which he’d always rolled his eyes at. It seemed like the kind of thing Alan would do…which Jonah would fondly roll his eyes at.
He pocketed his phone and made his way to the basement door. He needed some alone time before braving his mom. Alan was coming over for dinner tomorrow, which meant she would be overwhelmingly chatty while she prepared enough food to feed the entire neighborhood. Jonah would rather not spoil her mood by being, well, himself.
He emptied his pockets on his nightstand, then lay on his bed, where he closed his eyes and relaxed. He’d done it; he spent the weekend with Alan and nothing horrible had happened. It was quite the opposite, actually.
Warmth stirred in Jonah’s abdomen as he reminisced of all the intimate moments they’d shared. He’d figured Alan was no prude after reading the explicit story he’d accidentally published on the wrong account, but he hadn’t expected Alan’s libido to compete with his own. It was a nice surprise.
Jonah had apparently let himself be fooled by Alan’s appearance, which he wasn’t proud of. He had to admit, though; it was pretty arousing to have a cute, innocent-looking boyfriend who secretly was a horny little devil.
My horny little devil.
Jonah glanced at his phone, hesitating for a full two seconds before snatching it and accessing the fanfiction website, on which he searched for Alan’s secret account.
Alan was a prolific porn author, Jonah found out. The list was quite long. He had a lot of reading to do.
‘Wandering Hands at the Park’
‘Lazy Mornings’
‘Spilled Drink’
‘The Wallet Incident’
‘The Mysterious Coffee Shop Stranger’
Jonah’s eyebrows lifted at the fifth one. He tapped the link and started reading, a smile growing on his lips as he took in the scene: Alain was studying alone in a coffee shop that happened to be strikingly familiar to the Goliath Café. A handsome, tall, muscular man with the most beautiful eyes Alain had ever seen walked in. He’d been expecting him.
For weeks, Alain had been admiring the mysterious stranger from afar, wishing he would find the courage to talk to him. Today, however, he would not falter. It was a promise he’d made to himself this morning, when he woke up from the hottest sex dream he’d ever had.
Jonah’s mouth turned dry as he read the graphic flashback of how Alain had dealt with his erection before going to the café.
Although the real Alan had woken him up with a phenomenal blowjob this morning, Jonah’s body eagerly reacted to the scene. He put his phone down just long enough to pull his pants and boxers down, then picked it back up with his left hand.
This time, when their eyes met, Alain didn’t look away. Instead, he held the man’s gaze while licking his spoon clean, and then his lips. Very slowly.’
Jonah narrowed his eyes at the screen. So, the little devil had done it on purpose when they were on their first date, it seemed. Jonah couldn’t bring himself to be annoyed, though; especially not with his hand stroking his steadily hardening cock.
When it was clear he’d caught the man’s attention, he got up and walked past him, getting a delicious whiff of his cologne as he made his way to the bathroom.
It didn’t take long for him to materialize right behind Alain and to lock the door. It took even less time for Alain to sink to his knees and undo the man’s belt buckle.
It hadn’t just been a drunken whim, Jonah realized as he read on, pleasuring himself to his boyfriend’s secret porn. He hoped Friday’s incident wouldn’t discourage Alan from doing something like that again in the future. It would be a tragedy .
Alain held the man’s thick cock in his hand while he licked it from the base to the tip—
—looked at him seductively as he sucked his balls—
—wrapped his lips around his cock, his tongue caressing his shaft on the way down—
—gripped Alain’s hair with a throaty groan—
—bobbed his head faster, his own erection screaming to be set free—
—twitching against his tongue—
—the arousing sounds he made—
—spilled into his mouth with a deep moan.
“Fuck,” Jonah whispered as he moved his hand faster.
Alain stood up and licked his lips while looking into the panting man’s eyes. He slipped a piece of paper into his pocket, then stood on his tiptoes and whispered into his ear, “Call me.”
Jonah dropped his phone. He doubted Alan would actually do something so daring, but knowing he’d been fantasizing about it all that time was enough to send a shiver of ecstasy down his spine.
It was decided; they would have to find a way to role-play that scene as well.
Jonah panted, silently mouthing his boyfriend’s name as pleasure built up. Alan appeared in his head, making a show of licking his lips seductively. It was all Jonah needed. He barely stifled his moan as he came, spilling his release all over his stomach.
The things his little devil did to him.
Jonah exhaled a relaxed sigh, cooling off from his high. He grimaced at the state of his shirt. He had no choice but to do some laundry now.
He let go of his softening cock, feeling his mouth pout on its own volition as he found himself wishing he could hold Alan in his arms.
Jonah still couldn’t believe the effect Alan had on him. Never had he met anyone he wanted to fuck just as much as he wanted to coddle. Someone he wished to talk about everything and nothing with, share moments, make memories.
At least, not since…
Jonah looked at Elliot’s picture and sighed. “I know,” he murmured. “I know.” He took off his shirt and put his pants back on, then grabbed his phone.
He couldn’t in good conscience tell Eric to become a person deserving of Alan’s affection, while not trying to do the same himself. Before the terrified side of him tried to make him change his mind, he tapped the screen and pressed send.
? Jonah: ??
