I point. “That one is for her bedroom. The others are for the nesting area. But leave them by the door, please.”

Fox snarls as he hefts another box, and I waggle my finger at him. “No complaints. We need to burn off that energy of yours.”

Because the two alphas lugging dozens of boxes up and down the stairs are wound as tightly as the knot of a damn anchor. And instead of taking advantage of the heavy hormones, dragging my alpha upstairs and encouraging him to ride me like a rodeo, I’m directing their energy into taking Fallon’s new things upstairs.

Possibly the only thing that might have stopped them kicking down Wilder’s door.

Zeke jogs down the stairs, picking up another box. “It’s quiet now.”

He takes a deep breath. Chokes. And the edges of the box crumple beneath his grip. “I keep forgetting not to do that.”

Because Fallon’s scent is saturating this place. Sweet and spicy and sexual .

The Wild Side apparently knows how to treat an omega.

But at least the moaning has stopped.

I make a mental note to get all of the bedrooms soundproofed. Mine, Rowan and Fox’s already are, but we clearly need to prep the whole house now.

Not that I minded listening. Apparently I have a little auralism in me.

You learn something new every day.

Whistling, I cast my eyes over the boxes still left.

“How much did you order?” Rowan is tapping away on his laptop. I gave him a pass on helping, since he’s researching for Fallon. The little frown he gets between his eyes when he’s angry is deepening by the minute, but he pushes his glasses back, rubbing over his face before glancing over the chaos. “Is there anything left in stores worldwide? National blanket shortage?”

“Ha ha.” I glance at the boxes again, considering.

It doesn’t feel like enough.

Fox puts down the box, staring at the ceiling. “I should—,”

“Nope,” I smack my lips together. “Hopefully he’s come out of it by now. Give them some space.”

Because I can only imagine how hard Wilder – our Wilder - is freaking out.

Things must be upside-down when I’m the damn voice of reason.

“I don’t understand this,” Rowan mutters. His fingers fly along the keyboard. “There should be a hell of a lot of money attached to Rick Matthew’s estate. But there isn’t .”

On the stairs, Zeke turns. His brows knot. “Her… the alphas she was with.”

Fox stiffens. “You think they took it?”

“Who?” Rowan and I are looking between them now. Fox sighs.

“I should have said earlier. But my mind is… not where it should be. Fallon was with the Wordsmith pack. Rory, Shaun and Ellis Smith.”

“What?”

“What the hell?”

Rowan and I both burst into questions at the same time.

“I don’t know,” Fox grits out. “We haven’t had any time to talk about it. And I don’t want to hound her for details.”

“Details about what?”

Fallon tiptoes down the stairs, Wilder behind her with a sheepish look on his face. She’s wearing his shirt, all bare legs and hair and shyness as she reaches the bottom.

She looks… edible.

Fox and Zeke look dazed as they head directly for her.

I can’t say I blame them. I feel like I’ve swallowed my own tongue. Rowan slips his hands around my waist, burying his groan in my neck. “We’re in trouble, aren’t we?”

Hell yes, we are.
