Chapter 26

I hear the knock at my door and smile to myself as I stumble my way over to open it. I didn’t plan on getting drunk tonight, I guess the pressure of Laura showing up, and the fact I’m the reason she’s fallen out with her whole family, got to me. I just wanted not to care for a little while.

I swing it open and when I see Aaron standing on the other side of it I quickly drag him inside before Laura can see him.

“I’m drunk,” I inform him as I grab his face between my hands and kiss him.

“I know, I came up to make sure you got to bed okay.” He laughs as he tries to pull back my covers while my lips remain stuck to his face.

“I’m sorry for not telling Laura about us.” I lift up my arms and let him help me out of my dress and when he takes off his shirt and slides it over my head, I reach out and stroke his abs with my fingers.

“I know that, too.” He kisses my forehead, then tries to maneuver my other arm through the sleeve.

“I feel bad, really bad.”

“Like you're gonna hurl?’ he checks, holding me steady by my shoulders and looking concerned.

“No,” I laugh, making a sloppy attempt at a slap against his shoulder with my hand. “I mean about Laura. She was defending me.”

“Well, that’s what friends do.” He scoops me up and places me on the bed and I have to close one eye so I can focus as he unbuckles his belt and slides his jeans down his legs.

“You're staying?” I feel the smile rise on my lips and scoot over when he starts getting in beside me.

“Of course, I’m stayin’ because that's what boyfriends do.” He kisses the top of my head and wraps his big, strong arm around my middle while I close my eyes and laugh.

“I like how that sounds.” My voice sounds all dreamy and content, which is exactly how it feels as I drift off to sleep.

“Am I alive?” I massage my temples before I attempt to open my eyes. My head is pounding and my mouth is so dry it feels as if it’s growing fur.

“Yeah, darlin’ you're still livin’.” I hear Aaron’s voice and when I open my eyes, I see him lying beside me with both hands resting behind his head.

“Did I dribble on the pillow?” I manage, groggily.

“A little bit.” He smiles at me and I shut my eyes again and shake my head in shame.

“How much did I drink last night?”

“Put it this way, we had to send Rocco out for more tequila,” he tells me with a huge grin on his face.

“I can’t be hungover today, I have too much to do.” I attempt to sit up then realizing my head is far too heavy to lift, I flop back down. “Holy fuck.” I swear I’m never drinking again.

“Are ya feelin’ that bad?” Aaron laughs at me.

“I don’t drink very often. Mark didn’t think it was a good look .”

“And did you always do what Mark told ya to do?” he questions me with a frown.

“Mostly, yeah.” Answering his question makes me realize how many other things there were that Mark thought was bad for me. He put a lot of restrictions on me and I can’t believe I allowed that to happen.

“Well, luckily for you, I know the perfect cure for a hangover.” Aaron slides his body on top of mine and I quickly turn my head away from his.

“Trust me you don’t want to smell that.” I hold my hand up over my mouth to shield him from the stale tequila on my breath.

“You're cute.” He shakes his head, before snatching his hand under my jaw and dragging my hand away with his teeth so he can kiss me.

His tongue slips between my lips, rolling around mine and when I feel his cock harden against my stomach I get a pretty good clue at what his magic cure is.

“Do you know how hard it was to keep my hands off you last night?” he growls as his body starts to move against mine.

“I was very, very drunk,” I point out, feeling the pounding in my head move to a different part of my body.

“I couldn’t even have you when we got back,” he reminds me.

“You could have fucked me while I was drunk, I wouldn’t have minded,” I manage to smirk at him.

“Nah.” He shakes his head. “Last night you needed me to take care of ya.”

“And now.” I glance down our bodies and stare at the thick, heavy cock that's resting between us.

“I’m gonna take care of this hangover.” Lifting one of my thighs, he lines himself up so his cock presses against my entrance. I’m already wet and desperate just from his kiss and the anticipation of what's coming, so when he slowly pushes himself inside me that rush of thrill spreads from my stomach all the way to my toes.

“Mmmmmm,” I hum in pleasure as his cock steadily fills me, and his hips gently roll against mine. It feels close and intimate, the perfect pace to feel every bump and ridge of him as he stirs himself inside me.

“I could spend all day inside you,” he tells me, and I nod my head in agreement.“Fuck, you feel good,” he growls, keeping the same slow, steady pace while his fingertips dig into my thighs.

Each stroke his cock makes feels better than the one before, and there’s no urgency. This is just us, enjoying each other. It’s the closest thing to perfect I’ve ever felt.

A need to release starts building and Aaron must sense it reaching its peak because he frames my jaw with his rough, calloused palm and looks at me.

“You gonna come for me?” he whispers as his thumb drags my lip down my chin. “I can feel how close you are, your pussy’s gettin’ even tighter.”

I hold my breath and let the pleasure ride over me, my legs trembling either side of his hips as he holds himself still inside me, and groans out loud when his own release comes.

“Fuck, I’m never gonna be able to get enough of this,” he warns me, gritting his teeth as all his muscles tense and his cock throbs inside me.

“How’s ya head?” He looks down at me and smiles once he’s found some composure, and I suddenly realize that there’s no thumping in my temples anymore.

“Oh, my god…How did yo– it worked!”

“You’re welcome.” Placing a kiss on the end of my nose, he rolls back over to his side of the bed and stares up at the ceiling. We remain silent for what feels like a really, long time, and I can’t help wondering what's going through his head.

“I can’t do casual with you, Eden.” His words seem to come out of nowhere.

“What?” I laugh, dragging myself up to rest my elbow on his chest.

“I get that you’ve been through all these changes and that it’s a lot but I wanna come home to you every night. Whether it’s here or back at the houseboat. I wanna sleep beside ya, and then wake up like this. There ain’t nothin’ fuckin’ casual about the way I’m feelin’, I need ya to understand that.” He almost looks a little vulnerable as his eyes search mine for a response and I slowly nod my head back at him. Yeah, this may all be a little fast, but it’s exactly what I want too.

My eyes catch a glimpse at the alarm clock behind his head and when I notice the time I suddenly panic.

“You have to go.” I quickly jump up, remembering the conversation I had with Laura last night when we said goodnight on the balcony.

“What?” Aaron looks stunned as he sits up and watches me gather his jeans and his boxers from the floor. “Eden, I got a whole hour before I’m meetin’ the guys at the gym.”

“I know I was very drunk but…I remember telling Laura to knock for me at 8 am.” My eyes flick to the clock, to speed him up and when he follows them and sees the time, he shakes his head and laughs.

“You know, you're gonna have to tell her sooner or later?” He takes the jeans I toss onto his lap and starts sliding them on and when I realize I’m still wearing his shirt I quickly drag it off and toss that at him too.
